Purchased a washer. Delivered on Oct 7, 2024. The washer has ruined almost a $1000.00 worth of clothing with stains. Numerous calls with Speed Queen have resolved nothing. I have done everything Speed Queen has asked of me. I am wasting money running to the laundry mat to wash clothes. I should not be doing so when I have a brand new $1400 washer at home. This has gone on to long and Speed Queen is giving me the run around. I do not want another Speed Queen. Issue my full refund immediately so I can purchase a new machine!

On 5/16/21 we purchased a Speed Queen washing machine ($1039.06 total) based on the recommendation of the sales person saying it's a sturdy work horse with a 5 year warranty. After 3 years we called for repairs that would be covered under warranty. They sent Tiger Mech on 9/28/24 who told us to stop using the machine as it is dangerous and he would order parts and fix it. When questioned what happened he said "everything humans make break" and talked about plastic and a small s**** He then sent a report to SQ that we overload the machine and wash pillows so it would not be covered which he NEVER brought up when here. I totally DISAGREE! After calling for days to expedite delivery of the parts Tiger blamed SQ and SQ claimed they had not rec'd paperwork. On 10/4/24 we spoke to ***** from SQ and she contacted Tiger Mech. On 10/7/24 ***** sent email saying she had the service notes and sent to warranty **** for review. As of today, 10/23/24 no reply. Called SQ today and was told they are very busy and don't have a response from the warranty **** yet. Even though we are only a family of 3, we were unable to go weeks without doing laundry and had to purchase a new washing machine ($933.16 total cost). As the SQ machine had 2 years of warranty left I feel they owe us some compensation toward the cost of replacement machine. Not to mention the ridiculous run around in the handling from SQ and their repair service that contributed to our stress and lack of the ability to have clean clothing. I'd like to know who can go a month without doing laundry!Business Response

I purchased a brand new speed queen washer and dryer in 5/2022 from Springview ********************* I have since had MULTIPLE issues with the dryer. The dryer has been worked on (under warranty) several times with ********** and another appliance repair, again, all under warranty. For the past 2 years, this dryer has been putting burn marks in our clothes, towels, sheets, etc. I have brought this issue up several times and have even contacted Speed Queen customer care on my own to ger resolution. I was told by appliance repair that there was a module that was burned out in the dryer causing the heating element to remain "ON" and could have caused a severe fire. There has been SO MUCH replaced with this dryer, and this is completely unacceptable. I have wasted so much money on replacing materials over and over again that the dryer is burning. Speed Queen is no help, I have requested assistance and ********** is no longer assisting. I have spent WELL OVER the amount I have paid for the dryer in replacing our materials.Business Response

There have been several times I have been told please allow time to respond meanwhile OUR clothing, sheets, towels and belongings etc continue to be ruined! I am worried this dryer is going to cause a fire there is something clearly wrong! I have tried contacting the business where it was purchased and speed queen on several occasions and have been always pushed along. Meanwhile, our items are ruined! Over and over ruined! I have spent thousands replacing our items far more than this piece of junk is worth and cost! I need a response and not allow more time there has been plenty of time allowed!

contacted speed queen for warranty of dryer product has 10 year warranty and active. A ***air person came out from ******* applience said parts will be order and will call me that afternoon to let me know when parts are expected to come and never called, its been 5 days no update called spped queen and customer services *** says stop being abnoxious. I bought a Speed Queen TR7 on 9/23/2024 from *******'s appliance ********************************. I delivered it to my own home and we installed it according to the manual and read through the manual fluently. After use of the washer for 5 loads, we noticed that the clothes were not clean. We contacted Georgia's Appliance and he told us to contact Speed Queen to make the return. I called Speed Queen on 10/4/2024 at ************ and requested a call back. I received a call back from ************ within the hour. I was on called back by "Lake." This employee told me I was using the washing machine incorrectly, I would not be allowed to talk to anyone but her, would not send my call to a supervisor or manager, and ultimately told me that she did not care that I had spent $1,513 on this washer that did not work. I asked why she would not let me talk to anyone else to help with the return and she said that my conversation about this wasn't going to go anywhere and that I am stuck with my purchase of a washer that does not work. She hung up on me and blocked my number from the Speed Queen contact of BOTH numbers. The warranty that comes with my washing machine is no longer able to be used because my phone number is blocked and when I call, it says they are closed every time during open business hours. I am requesting the business reach out to me personally, I do not want this washing machine as it does not work and I am now unable to inquire through the number necessary for the warranty and service department of which I paid for a 7 year warranty.They can come get their washer. I will be taking this to small claims court as well. I also got back into contact with Georgia's appliance and he told me to take them to small claims court as I am not the only customer with this issue and that he will be reaching out to management.Business Response

I have been attempting to get service for my washing machine for a month now, and Speed Queen has been zero help. With each contact to Speed Queen, I have had a local company assigned to take care of my service. For the first service, maintenance support gave my family an arrival window. During the day, the arrival window continued to be pushed from 11AM to eventually 7pm. No one showed up for the service, and the company has not returned any of our calls. On my second attempt to get service, I was informed that a local company would reach out to me. I have been calling and texting the phone number that I was provided. The point of contact answered once, and has not replied to any texts or calls. For my third attempt, I submitted a request through the online portal and have yet to receive any response from the company. Speed Queen prides itself in a 5 year warranty. Our machines are approximately one year old and is starting to fail. I have no use for a warranty, if the company refuses to service their product.Business Response

I spent $23on bleach an washing soap and 44 dollars which was already high priced but it was needed the laundry soap was used in the laundry mat but the bleach wasnt because i had no whites to wash which i also explained to the rude worker at 2:20am 09/13/2024 i told him whatever liquid was in the bottle wasnt bleach an that the bottle was already opened i let him know i didnt want a refund just an exchange because the bleach was needed he said he isnt authorized to do any exchanges and rudely dismisses me so i asked for his name because there are no name tags worn an he says he doesnt want to give his name up i respectfully said thats fine an walked out the store an took the bleach bottle with me i want all my money back spent that night theres no telling what this liquid is and had i put it in my cloths it could have messed up everything ive spent my hard working money on they have homeless ppl all in an out the establishment an they an have rodents THIS IS SPEED QUEEN LAUNDRY **** (GREENBRIAR LOCATION)Business Response

My Speed Queen dryer caught fire and could have killed me and my family. I have had numerous repairs on this dryer and was asking for a replacement as of July 2024 due to all the issues. They declined to replace my dryer and it caught fire at 1:30am 9/6/24. I had to call the fire department. I had two techs out to evaluate the issue and they did NOT find any fault of lint or whatever that caught fire. Speed Queen is now saying it is not their fault, they will not replace my dryer and furthermore they decline to provide their insurance information. My husband had been burned in a grease fire on 8/28 and just came home two days prior to this incident with *****. My dryer caught on fire and smoke filled my house with my 10 month old baby. How could I have possibly caused the dryer to get so hot something caught on fire? Speed Queen is refusing to take any responsibility.Business Response

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.This dryer had multiple repairs and the heating element failed which was replaced in June of this year. Lint was always cleaned out and a deep clean was performed when the heating element was replaced. I can only surmise that this was an issue with the heating element that caused my dryer to catch fire, through no fault of my own, under supervision of your repair folks. I asked for this to be replaced. I knew something was wrong. You denied a replacement and my family could have died from smoke inhalation or my whole house catching on fire. At a MINIMUM you need to replace my dryer with a new version that WILL NOT CATCH FIRE. That is at a minimum. You are liable for this issue and it could have been avoided at the SAFTEY OF MY FAMILY. if you had just replaced this faulty dryer. Provide your insurance information.

This is in reference to ******* complaint with Speed Queen. I purchased a speed queen dryer in July of 2023. I have continued to have problems with it. There have been 4 service calls and they continue to replace the same parts. It will last for a little while then starts loudly squealing again. I have complained to the company and they were looking into replacing the machine. They denied my request and want me to have another service appt. I have to continually take off work for someone to come out and replace the same parts yet again. I paid in excess of 1300 dollars for a hunk of junk dryer that speed Queen refuses to address.Business Response

Purchased *******. Matching washer and dryer - dryer over heats and ***** items inside. Contacted local dealer only to be told I have to call Speed Queen. The techs they have are nothing but parts changers and they cant guarantee the part will fix it. Weve been dealing with this since July 2024. Washer is completely out, drier timer is junk. Have called SQ requesting lemon law - NO is their final answer. Everyone raved about SQ so we have them a shot, I will NEVER buy another. Wish SQ could be held accountable somehow but I dont have the funds to hire an attorney and file a class action law suit. Im not one to sue but when you operate like this, its the unfortunate route one must take. House of 5 and laundry elsewhere, to say Im not happy is an understatement.
