My daughter is an inmate for 60 days at *************************, *****************, Wi I have yet to have a phone call or video visit that hasnt dropped and the quality is horrendous. I would like a refund for every one however the company seldom responds, has no reachable phone number and are really poor at customer service. Then charging 8.95 just to used my credit card plus also still charging for shipping. They charge $ 5 for 2oz of coffee, Basically 1 cup. The system, the company poor service, this is really about as despicable as you get. Taking advantage of families with outrageous fees during this time. I could go on and on. Suffice to say this company is price gouging poor inmates families. And the service is bottom of the barrel.Initial Complaint

I paid via my credit card $125.00 and $25.00 on TurnKey Corrections company (Inmate Canteen) for an inmate to be able to call her parents and get items needed to live in the jail. She was not able to use ANY of the $150.00 as she was transferred out of that jail before she could use the money on the "gift card". I requested a refund and they told me to call the jail, which has nothing to do with the company that I paid via credit card for this inmate. When I talked to a customer service rep ****** he would not/could not refund my money. Sent me directions to get a Refund but my email and password was not being accepted anymore, even though he reset my password. So, I have no way to request a refund or get my money back from this company. This is fraud!! And I HOPE that the Attorney General in **** and ********* will address the fraudulent and predatory practices of this company. This company should be put out of business if they cannot act ethically and timely when asked for a refund. I will continue to pursue a refund until my account has been credited.Initial Complaint

I added $150 to my messaging account on 6/7. It was posted /paid for and processed by my credit card on 6/8. It was never added to my messaging account balance. Where didmy money go? Support is nonexistent. I have sent two emails and have not received any response. It appears that this company is committing fraud by stealing money from consumers, not adding the money to account balances and making it impossible for one to speak with support on the phone. I do not understand how this is legal. Someone should be regulating this company and industry to prevent the deceptive fraudulent practices the company is committing. Put $150.00 in my account to be able to talk to son in prison. He 2as let out early so I requested refund of the balance. I was told it would take 90 days, which is itself a ridiculous amount of time, and of course the check has not arrived. Phone numbers are almost impossible to find on the website. Everyone I talk to can see my account but of course they can't do a ything about it. They email me a website that does not respond to my request and of course has no tech support.Initial Complaint

I attempted to use the service "Inmate Canteen" to communicate with a family member in jail. I was told that the jail uses this service. I set up an account, put money into my account, and then attempted to use the email and video functions. Nothing worked. I attempted to get answers from their automated "help bot" with absolutely no help. When I attempted to contact customer support, the "help Bot" told me that the Customer Support number was not available. I attempted to find a customer support number on the company website, and all links had been disabled. I never received an email receipt for my payment, and I am very concerned that my information has been compromised. The lack of any sort of customer support is the most concerning to me. The company charged an outrageous service fee for charging my card. The website says that I will be able to receive a refund when the inmate is no longer in jail. However, I now have no record of the transaction, as they did not email me a receipt. It appears that this company is a scam.Initial Complaint

My husband is an inmate at a facility with communication provided by this company. Text messages are .************* each. From I believe December 30 - January 2 (ish) texting was not working but we were being charged for the messages. It was not until I filled multiple complaints that they temporary suspended texting while they removed the issue. The texting is up now and works (mostly). In emails with the company they implied they would be refunding for the failed communications but today informed me they are not. I know this impacted a lot of people. Unfortunately it probably impacted single moms like myself or older folks with kids in jail. I feel this company is taking advantage of and preying on people's love, desire, and need communicate with family members.Initial Complaint

I was in jail in Todd county ********. This company is the communication provider for this jail. I was released and had over $100 left on my account. Upon trying to refund my money there was no customer service number on the website and there was no option on the site to help you get your refund. Made several attempts to email this company with little or no response. Keep getting sent a link that didn't have any options for refunds.Initial Complaint
