I placed an order on inmatecanteen on 9/12. Payment was deducted from my account on 9/14. The order is not showing in my account with ******************** and i have had multiple emails back and forth with them. They have told me to continue waiting and it should go back into my bank. However, the charge is completed and finalized and they have my money. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, ******* on the phone just put me on mute and quite responding to me hoping that I would hang up. Eventually she came back on the phone and told me to 'wait and see' if my money would return to me by 9/23. Waiting another week to see if my money is returned is unacceptable. Hello,Over a week ago I purchased unlimited texting for $10.99. I only was able to use for two days and it disappeared. Then they charged me $.13 a text and used up all my money.I also had approved video visits so my son could visit his kids. They disappeared and I'm being asked to submit my ID but there is noplace to put it.I can't find the unlimited texting option now and have written several emails for over a week and have been ignored and disregarded.I feel I'm being treated like a criminal and not a customer paying and losing my good money.********************* ************ ********************Initial Complaint

Didn't get text messages but they took my money and swear I got them . It was March 7th thru the 10th. 2023. They refuse to send me the messages for proof. I placed an order for a Holiday Package on Dec 8th 2022. As of today, Jan 3rd 2023, there has been no delivery of the package that was ordered and charged to my card on Dec 8th. I filed a complaint with them via the only means of contact available per their web site. I use the services offered by this company, they advertise a promotional offer for unlimited text to communicate to inmates, the offer is for 1 week of unlimited text that ends the 7th day after purchase at midnight, but it is ended around 6 pm on the 7th day and I end up paying full price for the messages. That is false advertising of their product/service. Also, half of the time the service is does not work, currently the kiosk available to the inmates has been broken for days they can't receive messages being sent, respond or answer any video calls that come through. So I am paying for unlimited text plan that is not working. I have sent a complaint to them about the advertising of unlimited text promotion over a week ago with the only update that someone will reach out to me, and I have not heard from them. I want compensation for what I have paid for that I haven't received due to the wrong advertising of their service and for the continuous unavailable non-working equipment that can't be used for the services I pay for by the inmates.Initial Complaint

Using 'Inmate Canteen' (i.e. TurnKey Corrections) I attempted to deposit funds to an inmate's account at ******* County, ** Corrections. I received receipts that the deposits were successful, but the inmate did not receive the funds. I have contacted 'Inmate Canteen's' customer support five times- they ignore my questions and have made no attempt to refund my money. On 8/25 I made a $30 deposit to a "communication account" so the inmate could at least have phone service. I was charged the normal $3.99 fee from ***********************. However, Inmate Canteen charged my credit card a $28.95 fee without my permission. Attachments: 8/20 receipt from Turnkey Corrections for $60 8/23 receipt from Turnkey Corrections for $60 8/25 receipt from **********************. for $33.95 8/25 receipt from Turnkey Corrections for $28.95 (they added this fee to the ****************** payment). Copy of my credit card statement showing the expenses but $0 credits. I am seeking a full refund from Turnkey Corrections from the month's of September 2021 until present, due to the erroneous deduction system which regulates their communication funds spending between inmates and their families. They do not provided deduction records to citizens who fund the accounts, just the inmates. In doing this, citizens cannot accurately argue when their account has been erroneously deducted. They have poor customer service which rarely will get back to, and if you do speak with them they simply provide a disclaimer that states if their technology fails they have the right to keep the money. Their technology fails daily, and they keep money of citizens without refunding it. More importantly, they tax stamps, envelops, and tea which is illegal. Myself and my boyfriend have paid for these items for him while incarcerated, and being that this is illegal, I am requesting a full refund of my contributions due to illegal activity of the company.Initial Complaint

My brother is in Escambia county Jail in *******, **. I have not been able to speak to him and on July 4 I spent over $300 with this company in which he was not given any of the things I sent. My brother, *****************************, is not from that town or state and has no one. They seem to be taking advantage of ppl at their lowest point and getting rich off of it. They have no customer service at all. I have sent in 4 tickets and have heard nothing in return.
