      Contacted generac warranty September 6, 2024 about the board/ panel not working in the generac and it was under warranty. They advised me the warranty is up September 14, ************************** time. Made a claim and they advised they would call to get the warranty work approved and covered. Never heard anything back. I called every week and they said the same thing ( waiting on appeals ) to give us the go ahead. Someone would contact me in a few days. Never heard anything again (11-12-24). I called a complain and they forwarded me to ******** ***** in the Appeals and ******************** She was very rude and stated it didnt sound like a warranty job and that they will probably not cover it but couldnt give me and answer yet. Said they would get back with me in a week. Its now December 10, 2024 and still havent heard anything.

      We have not heard anything from Generac Power Systems from December 10, 2024. Nothing has got resolved. We have been waiting on the warrant company to reach back out to us with no response. So that means we do not have a working Generac. Very disappointed with the whole situation.

      I feel I should be reimbursed my money for having the unit repaired while it was under warranty. This has been going on since September and I feel Generac has done nothing for me under their warranty. The communication has NOT been sparse as I have left several messages for ******** ***** with no return calls back. I also have numerous different claim numbers assigned to me.
      I got my Generac fixed on January 8, 2025 by ** ***** Electric (Generac Supplier) and it cost me $2340.00. I have receipts and I believe the Generac Warrany should cover the parts of this. I will not be satisfied until something is done!

      The company has still not reached out to me regarding this matter. Im not satisfied in how this has went on for months with no compromise. My Generac was under warranty when they problem occurred and they will not take accountability in doing there part in paying for the parts for this! I want answers.

      The bottom line on our experience with Generac is the machine doesn't work and has not since we bought it 4 years ago. They only say it not covered by the warranty. We were told it could have been in the installation of the gas pipe. We don't understand why we should have to pay a ***** to get this running, as a dependable machine for us living In rural areas during snow and thunder storms. My husband has a cpap machine and that was one of the main reasons we purchased it. The machine has not ran long enough to even need a tune up. *** doesn't it work or start properly???

      I purchased a generac 20kw generator approximately 10 years ago. They normally last 20 years or more and will last approximately 3000 run hours. I have had my generator professionally serviced yearly by generac dealers. During a recent power outage my generator failed with a low oil pressure fault. It was determined by a generac dealer that my oil pump failed and it was more financially prudent to replace the generator. I was told by several dealers that they are also seeing this issue in the field. If you look on line forums you will see many complaints about this same issue. I contacted generac about this issue and it was not resolved. I understand it will cost several thousand dollars to repair my unit and I am not requesting this. It is going to cost me 7500 dollars to replace my generator that failed prematurely. I requested that generac provide me with a 10 year extended warranty on my new unit. They give these warranties away as a promotion several times a year but there are no promotions going on at this time. Being that my generator failed prematurely, and there are documented issues with this problem in the field, I feel generac can provide me with a free 10 year extended warranty on a new unit. This is a approximately 950 dollar value. Your help in this manner would be greatly appreciated. My ticket number with generac is *******. Note my generator only had 97.1 run hours on it.

      In June of 2022 I purchased a generac model xt8500 EFI generator to use for my fireworks tent and as backup power. Generac claims to give this thing a 3-year warranty. With the unit having less than a thousand hours on it, it has given me severe running problems, and is now refusing to start. I have reached out to multiple repair places that do not work on fuel injected engines, and the ones that do work on fuel injected engines will not accept generac warranty for repairs. In August of 2024 I contacted generac and let them know of the problem I was having and ask if they could help me locate a service center or replace the generator as it is still well within its 3-year warranty and it is having major problems, all possible service centers were called and none of which work on a fuel injected generator, so my case got forwarded to generac appeals and grievances. And that is where it has sat since August of 2024. I hear very little from appeals grievances, I've been asking for a call back for going on close to 2 months now, yet I hear nothing back. All I would like is for some clear communication as to what is going on and if they are going to repair/replace my broken unit. I don't need anything more than that, if this model is no longer available I will happily take any other model that is comparative to the one that I have. But I really need to hear back from generac to let me know what's going on as I keep holding back from either replacing the motor with a third party motor on the dead generator or buying another larger generator until I know what is going on with generac, I am unwilling to spend a couple thousand dollars on a new generator if one is going to get replaced. All I seek is for my generator to be repaired and/or replaced, or for generac to reach out to me and tell me they will not be replacing my generator so I can move forward with this part of my life. My appeals grievances case number will be put in the account/order/tracking number.

      Generac solar system and battery not working. Purchased an entire solar system from Generac solar solutions approx 3 years ago. I am making payments of $250.00 every month for 25 years. The system since it was installed has worked for approximately 2-3 months since install. I have spoke with them on the phone several times to get people to fix issues. None of the issues were customer (Myself) caused as I do not touch the system. During the wait periods to get service done from the time of call is approx 4 months as has been my experience. They state that they had an install company that quit servicing for them and that is the issue. This is not my issue nor is it my problem. I expect some kind of prompt service when I am making payments on something that does not work and has not worked for more than 1 full month without having it go down because of faulty parts and poor installation. I would like to get the payments back that were made while it was down. And I would like them to pay the excessive electric bills that I have received because of these issues.

      I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding a transaction involving the purchase of a warranty extension for my generator. I bought the new generator on May 1, 2019, and it included a Generac 10-year extended warranty. In April 2023, Generac contacted me via mail and informed me that my warranty was nearing expiration. The letter heading on this letter was Generac; no other name was listed on the Power Plan Flyer. I asked them to check their records as I remembered buying the extended warranty. They told me on the phone that my warranty was about to expire. This led to my inadvertent purchase of a duplicate warranty extension purchase for $1,035. Upon realizing this error, I requested a refund in November of 2024. I have been informed that another company, ***********, will issue a prorated refund of $876.34. Regrettably, I find this resolution unacceptable; I am entitled to a full refund of the original amount paid, potentially with interest. Please clarify the following points: 1. What prompted Generac to contact me regarding the warranty when my generator was still under a valid 10-year extended warranty? I confirmed this within Generacs records? 2 What is the rationale behind the decision to provide only a prorated refund when the transaction was totally in error? 3. Does this situation reflect Generac's standard business practices, rated A+ by the BBB? I hope not! I respectfully request a full refund of $1,035 from Generac, Generac Power Plans, or After, **** I would appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to your response. As a follow-up note, a check for $876.34 was received, leaving a balance due me of $158.66.

      I have two separate issues with my Generac/********* unit that was purchased from ******, an authorized dealer. Issue 1: My Generac/Honeywell Model number G00723510 has not worked properly since the day it was installed. The wireless connection that's required to control this product using their app has never worked. I reconnect the unit and it disconnects hours/days later while trying to update firmware. It's been reconnected over 100 times over the past year. I've contacted customer service up to a dozen different times with no solution provide other than call a dealer. They also advised that I setup a dedicated wifi network for the generator which was also done using a non-mesh network, the unit continues to disconnect. When I call a dealer to come and fix they tell me that a firmware upgrade is not covered by warranty and that would be the first step in fixing the issue. Generac will not authorize a replacement of the wifi module unless the firmware is updated first and the issue continues. The product does not work correctly and will not update wirelessly because of the current firmware, it's a known issue with many other owners. I am unable to update the firmware on my own, must be done by a dealer and is not covered by warranty. Generac needs to either pay for the firmware upgrade which is causing the issue or allow me to update the firmware myself. They are not willing to do either. Issue 2: The extended warranty (10 Years) that was offered when purchased it not reflected on my account. The paperwork that was submitted to extend my warranty to 10 years was confirmed by Generac to be in good order but the extended warranty was never applied to my account. ********************** has actually shortened my warranty period from 5 years when purchased to 3 instead of extending to 10 years as offered in their promotion.

It was a copy of what he received from ****** ********* at 10:58 am. RE: *** for Generac SO# *******. It stated. Right now since there is a long backorder on liquid cooled units those have an expected shipping window of 1/4/2022-1/7/2022. That is what I CURRENTLY see we are always updating our lead times based on production status and order cancellations so we may see this move forward.6- 3/14/2022 Chance **** let us know he had our generator.7- 6/23/2022 Generator was installed. Additional payment of $4,445. The total payment for our Generac was $14,445.8- 6/29/2022 ******* tanks were filled.9- The next call our generator was set to do a weekly run on Sunday.10- The total run time on our generator since installation is 2.4 hours and then it quit11- I called ************** and **** **** was sent out to check our generator. He made about 4 trips. He could not fix it so ***** **** contacted a Generac licensed service tech.12- 5/29/2024 ******* ****** with Electrical, HVAC, and ****************** came out to check our generator. He completed a service form and I have attached a copy of it. After several service calls and hours of labor along with many phone calls by him and myself to Generac, still no working generator. 13- 10/1/2024 ******* ****** made his last call without a working generator.       I purchased a Generac 24KW generator through ********** for over $14,000 installed. It was installed in March of 2022 and ran fine until October of 2024. The installer had to come back and take the unit to their shop to fix at a labor cost of $2,160. Generac's warrant covered parts, but not labor. So after only a few months more than the 2-year labor and parts portion of the warranty expired, I'm sitting with a $2,160 bill which I believe to be due to defective parts on my generator. I believe that the labor cost of $2,160 should be refunded to me due to the defective generator.

      I have attached the email I sent to the Generac Executive Team which has gone unanswered. The Executves do not even respond or care so I am not surprised their customer service is absolutely terrible. The email will sum up my complaint. I am absolutely disgusted in the level of service I have received from Generac. I regret purchasing a Generac generator because of the poor service. I have also provided my case # with Generac but I will provide it again - *******. I have been trying to see if Generac will cover the cost of the failed ************************ box that failed and is no longer working. I sent an invoice from the company (**********) who I requested a quote from to make the repair and the end of June 2024 and Generac. The customer service is absolutely disgusting at Generac as I have never received a call nor an email other than the Case *** telling me she will be out of the office at the beginning of July. The last I heard is that my case is with the Appeals and ************** and was told that the decision would take 24 to 48 hours and the part in question would likely be covered. The *** advised she would call me once the decision was made and I have heard nothing and that was over a week ago. I am at a loss as to what to do to get this resolved. Please help.
