      ****** is not interested on consumer's/company problems. I've had the unit in my yartd since September, 2024. time after time appointments are canceled, I'm not inforrmed, I have to call to find out. Company has NO reguard for the customer. I'm sure **** made a mistake in purchasing this unoit but I have t now HOWEVER if I can't get it connected I'll ask for removal and refund. I've tried every way I lknow to remedy this problem. Please Help Thanlk You

      This company refuses to hone an extended warranty. We have had numerous repair people to look at a generator and installed in November of 2021. Since that time, we have had at least 13 service calls on this generator and 7 of those times the work order says "repairs complete-NO" In the year 2024 alone, there have been 6 service calls and have not had a working generator for the last 3 months at least. We have an extended warranty which will expire in 2/2026 which they will not honor. We have an interaction # with Generac, but do not seem to be getting anywhere. They are trying to decide if it is an industrial or commercial generator, but I don't understand why they won't honor the warranty. In the meantime, we do not have a working generator and live in Michigan where we have winds and bad weather. We are located at the end of a peninsula which extends into Saginaw Bay. We want the generator replaced with one that works or refund our money plus the money we spent on a useless warranty. Could not agree with the reviews listed more. One of the worst purchases we ever made and will not ever recommend this product to anyone. And to work with them is a joke.

      Generac customer service is horrendous. We lost power on the 18th of September. The generatorstarted and ran for about 10 minutes. Our power came back on and the generator shut down, but after shutting down it caught on fire. I extinguished the flames and the authorized contractor was at my house within 1/2 hour. He looked at the generator but couldn't find the sure cause of the malfunction. We both called Generac. I received a call from them about a week later and was told that a new generator was approved and I was told it would take 2 weeks to get it. After 2 weeks+, I called Generac and was transferred to James, the person handling our claim. I left a voicemail for him to return my call, but I never got a callback. I called again and said I needed to talk to James. They transferred the call to him and I spoke with him. I told him this is unacceptable as a business to ignore calls about questions on an open claim. I then spoke to his superior and left a complaint with her. She used the excuse that it was because of hurricane season and I told her this happened before either one of the hurricanes that passed through the Southern states. It is now November 13th and I was informed that it should be delivered to the contractor by the 19th. If this is Generacs business model I will NEVER recommend Generac to anyone and as a matter of fact I'll be telling people to steer clear of this lousy, unethical company

      Total waste of money. Bought a whole house generator for peace of mind and it failed 10 minutes into power outage caused by hurricane Milton. Control board failed in the middle of hurricane season last year. This time it’s the coils. The unit is only 2 years old and under warranty. Cost $$$ for the annual service and propane for the weekly test run, not to mention the lost food from the power being out for days. Installed by a Generac Premier Dealer who took a week to come out and diagnose the unit and a month later it is still not fixed! Save your money and go stay at a hotel!

      Purchasing Generac has given our family feeling very comfortable during any storms or any inclement weather. We have owned it for 7 years and it has always turned on in case of a power outage and monthly test cycle. We had purchased the extended warranty and had the annual maintenance completed yearly. After 7 years the company stated that we needed a new motor put in because it was going to fail. I called Generac and they stood by their product and covered the expense of the new motor and labor expenses. They stand by their products and when we move we will be purchasing another Generac.

      GENERAC POWER SYSTEMS AND ****** ********** **** –----------------------------------- FAILED US------------------------------------------- I deeply regret purchasing a Generac Standby Generator. It took 8 months for delivery, and now – more than 2 years later – still not totally or correctly operable. It started with the inaccurate, incomplete, and faulty initial installation by EMC, which then caused further damage during periodic operations. All of this defeats the purpose of a backup generator in the first place, right? Frustration, Disappointment are understatements…………. Despite multiple attempts to have them corrected and repaired, – Generac & EMC - have provided NO MEANINGFUL SUPPORT OR ASSISTANCE …We have had to engage a third-party service provider even during warranty for interim repairs in order -to protect the people and animals on the property- ………………………all at substantial extra costs to us…. Their product, service, and Corporate Governance ALL FAIL, making them unreliable, unresponsive, and dismissive. And still at risk of violating emissions standards. We will be filing a lawsuit and complaints with ****, Better Business Bureau, and Consumer Reports. The irony is – ^As I am also a *********** in this public company- Generac - I should apologize to the consuming public for any same or similar unconscionable situations. ^As a very, very unhappy customer – I suggest you do not buy anything from Generac or ****** ********** ****

      Bought a 26Kw standby generator and had it installed last winter. Dead yet again. Dealer has said I need yet another new engine. This would be the third in less than a year. My dealer and I are requesting a brand new full replacement generator vs installation of a 3rd engine. Unfortunately, 2 weeks from case submission and numerous calls in to Generac to get a status update, we have heard nothing. Previously was inoperative for 2 months, now its been 3 weeks. I was expecting more from the industry leader.

      Purchased 22k generator from local dealer. Installed, available for use 9/5/24. Hit by Hurricane Helene 9/27- General kicked in, ran fine for 145 hrs. 10/3- generator started cutting on, then back on, after 185 mins shut down with code 1900. Called dealer. They immediately responded (even though they were without power and dealing with multiple calls - our area in upstate SC had unprecedented damage). techs called Generac, they had them replace internal fuel regulator. Generator back in operation at 1010 am; at 1215, generator started shutting down and restarting until stopped at 3:33pm, again code 1900. tech back out, Generac had them pull fan to check brushes and other parts, brushes replaced, generator back on at 7:20pm. Stopping and starting started again at 9:05pm, shut down at 9:16pm. 10/4 @ 5:22am, I restarted generator per direction on control panel, ran until 6:04am. techs backout, contacted Generac- check magneta- bad so replaced, generator running rough, Generic called, air filter removed, motor smoothed out- new air filter, at 3:21pm generator cut off. Tech back out restarted generator and placed various loads on generator, no problem. 10/5 @ 2:30 pm power restored, generator control panel said ready to run. Generator did not run its programmed weekly exercise on 10/6 @ 3pm. 10/7 generator ran exercise sometime between noon and 3pm; noticed power light red, checked for code, had code 1100- overcrank. Reset per panel instructions, made tech aware. 10/8- power out 0940- generator started, 10:09-10:26 generator off and on, died at 10:26 am, reset per directed, ran til 11:01- died code 1900 contact authorized dealer. 10/9@ 5:08pm power out generator no start contact authorized dealer. Techs out replaced gas line from 3/4" to 1" per Generac's recommendation. Generator ran 15 mins - shut down. Multiple electrical checks. Generac unavailable at 8pm. 10/11 need new Stator Can, EST delivery 10/15. Generac will not answer my emails or calls- disgusted!!!

      Have a generac whole home system. Worst financial decision I ever made. Get the annual service every year in fact just serviced on 8/29/24. I now sit here with no power after hurricane million rolled thru as it never turned on. I only needed it once and paid thousands of dollars and the one time I needed it nothing. What a total waste

      Purchased 24kw generac 2022, but the engine surges and causes under speed trip after about 3 or 4 minutes. The unit can not be used. Not an electrical problem or fuel issue, it is an engine problem and Generac has failed repair even though I have a warranty until 2029. I made several attempts to get help from Generac, total apathy.
