      Pet cargo service from WestJet is not fit for any beloved animal. 6 months ago one of my dogs sat for 2 1/2 in the plane after arrival before being unloaded. In the summer heat!This time they told me that I had missed the flight because I arrived 15 later than the 3 hour deadline due to them giving me the wrong address of the warehouse!! Priority cargo is accepted until 2 hours before the flight. I guess pets don't count as priority.Then I was charged an extra $20 rebooking fee because I estimated the total weight of pet and crate 2 kgs TOO HIGH. Can you believe this? The original quote was based on a weight of **** kgs (computer generated based on the dimensions of the crate), I guessed 8 kgs which at that point really wasn't relevant anymore because the price didn't change and in the end everything together only weighed 6 kgs. But I still have to call the booking agent and pay another $20 to get the booking changed from 8 kgs to 6 kgs? Wow. Never again.I've flown and used WestJet for my pets for years, recommended them highly to other people. Never again.

      We have been flying with Westjet for years, and opted to use it as much as we could. Welllll not no more! This is the 2nd flight we have had in recent months and the food is not fit for consumption. It was disgusting, diabolical, tasteless need I go on!!!They gave us for a ****hr flight a stale either cheese or ****** bread thing with two tiny brownies. The bread thing was like nothing I have honestly ever tasted on an airline. Maximum profit for minimal service! It would seem even being a Platinum member does not qualify either for decent service. Husband has poured literally thousands into this airline flying for business and this is what he got! The only thing we got was first to board woooopeeee!!Westjet bring back your standards and don't do this to your customers. It is embarrassing for your company embarrassing for your staff and embarrassing to admit we flew with your disgusting nonsense!! I also have absolutely no doubt this review will even be acknowledged!!

      Westjet robs you! I had to pay a $500 cancellation fee, and they are refusing to refund me $1460 for fully refundable tickets! Except by forcing me to buy other tickets with a 1 year expiry! Terrible customer service! They steal from you and don't care one bit about you. New leadership has turned this into a disgrace!

      I filed a compensation request through their service recovery service months ago. They keep denying that the flight even existed despite seeing the email confirmations they sent me. Months of going through their customer service has filed to produce results. Do not recommend.

      Last July we had our wedding in my home-country in Europe and our honeymoon in the south of ********. Due to the turmoil that is currently going on in in the land of air travel we decided to book separate flights and WestJet seemed the best option for our return trip back to *******. If only I had read any of the reviews that were posted before... The two flights (lay-over in *******) were fine (really not more than that). But we left ***** with an hour delay because the captain decided to wait for one of the lavatories to be fixed (his words: it isn't a necessary measure, but nice to have). Then it turned out that we also waited for a passenger who was lost at the airport. I can appreciate the ******** niceness, but this made a good number of passengers on board miss their connection to ******* and having to spend the night in *******. This is where WestJet's **** show really started...First, finding WestJet's transfer desk at ******* airport was an absolute nightmare. It's not located near the check-in, but on the other side of the airport... They should have made that a lot clearer when they informed us we won't make our second flight, only 20 minutes before landing in *******... Gee thanks, WestJet!Then the line at the desks was insane! After a more than 2 hour wait (!!) the only thing the transfer agent told us was to book a hotel and we would get reimbursed. Did we have to wait more than 2 hours for that?! Really WestJet, get your act together and find a better way to communicate about this!Of course all hotels were booked by that time (8:00PM local time and the **************** was apparently happening). With more than 200 people getting the same information, one could expect that hotels were booked by the time it was our turn...That all happened on July 9th... It is now October 4th and we still haven't gotten our expenses reimbursed, nor have we gotten any news on the status. Calling WestJet doesn't help.

      West jet stole my ******* travel voucher. Absolutely no warning of travel voucher expiry . WestJet Just went into my account and took it. If there had been some sort of warning from the of this I feel it wouldve been more fair.This is just ******** and I feel west jet should reimburse the funds or reinstate my voucher.

      I have had a terrible experience trying to get a refund back from WestJet, one that I was told I was entitled to. WestJet emailed me to tell me that I was eligible for a refund to the original form of payment. The issue is that the original credit card I had used had since been canceled and I no longer had access to the credit card number for that reason. WestJet was most unhelpful and not flexible at all. Firstly they insisted that I had to provide them with the full credit card number is order for them to process my refund. I informed them that the card was canceled and could not provide the full number but I was able to confirm the last 5 digits of the card. WestJet still refused to process the refund. I asked for alternatives such as issuing the refund to another for of payment, or issuing the refund as a cheque in the mail, WestJet once again refused. I previously had the same issue with Air Canada and another smaller local airline and both were able to issue refunds without the full credit card numbers. I find it difficult to understand why WestJet can't do the same. Terrible service! I have written to the CEO and other Senior Executives and still haven't received any response. Pathetic service!

      Worst customer service I've experienced. I booked an Econoflex fare from the ** to ****** so that I had flexibility in cancellation or changes. However, when I needed to cancel the ticket, they had to charge me a fee - referring to details in a terms and condition only listed in a small area of their website - with ZERO DISCLOSURE at the time of booking or in any email I received from them. I called customer service 4 times, they hung up on me twice, when I argued that policy and lack of disclosure. It would not be reasonable to expect a customer to review minute details in a tiny section of the website and go to their website to review that on my own without even a link in an email. There was no one who could help or offer a waiver or solution to the issue. I've never experienced that before, I'm a Diamond medallion with ***** and wanted to book with westjet since its a part of sky team.

      I honestly dont understand what the point of Westjets customer service team is, Ive talked to several people and not a single one has helped me in any way. They made a major change to my flight without notifying me, left me stranded in a different country, and forced me to pay several hundred dollars for a new ticket. No accountability, no apology, no compassion. Book with literally ANY other airline.

      I had the worst experience with Westjet and will not be flying with this airline again. I was booked on a round trip from ******* to ** through a companion *******. My companion did not end up flying and I flew alone from ******* to SF. Before getting on the plane, Westjet staff confirmed that my companion was not flying with me and went ahead with boarding me on the flight. When it came to flying back home to ******* from SF, I was unable to check in 24 hours before my flight. I spoke to an incredibly rude and unhelpful staff member who told me my flight was cancelled because my companion did not fly, so essentially they left me stranded in SF. I was appalled by the terrible customer service. ******************** did not provide any other options and told me I had to buy a new ticket. This wasnt something they had advised me of prior to flying which would have been the time to let me know. I had to pay $900+ to get on a flight back home on the same day on incredibly short notice. I went with air ****** this time. Ive learned my ******* it is worth paying a little more for better customer service and peace of mind.
