      Slept on the floor of ******* airport, had my baggage lost twice and had to call back three times just to use a "giftcard" because it takes over 48 hours to activate when bought with a westjet credit card ... disgraceful service with incredible poor customer service.

      My flight was delayed in ******* by 2.5 hours because of a technical issue. We had to deplane, board a different aircraft, and wait for the luggage to be transferred. This made me almost miss my connecting flight. My checked in bag which had all of my belongings in it didn't show up at my final destination. I went through the missing luggage process at the Westjet counter and was told my bag would be coming in later that night. I was given a baggage tracking number (that didn't work) and stuck around town to wait for the bag to come in. The next afternoon I still hadn't heard back from Westjet and since my luggage tracking number didn't work, I tried the ***** number they supply online. 2.5 hours on that without anyone answering I was back at the airport to deal with it in person. I was told by Westjet my bag should be in that night. It is now day 4 of waiting for my things with only the clothes on my back. I gave my phone number and address at the start of this fiasco and still haven't heard back from Westjet. I have come to a dead end, the missing luggage number still doesn't work, I still can't get through on the ***** number, and Westjet is not contacting me. It's looking to me like I will be forced to complete my whole 9-day trip with only the clothes on my back and quite frankly I'm not very hopeful of ever getting my luggage back at all. The stress and frustration this has caused me is a 10/10. I'm quite frankly disgusted with this whole situation. Totally unacceptable, Westjet. I will never forget this disastrous trip.

      Complaint about Westjet wheel chair assistance : One of the Wheel Chair assistance ladies today ( Nov 18, 2022 around 8:10 AM ) asked my Senior Mom travelling from ***************************** to ******** Airport for money to help her from C 51 gate to ramp. My mom has back pain and we booked wheel chair assistance because of that. She was trying to make my carry the hand baggage by herself . Thanks to the Airlines Officer who helped my mom by making the wheel chair assistance lady to do her work . I am extremely disappointed by the wheel chair assistance department of Westjet at the ***************************** .

      Unbelievable that a company can get away with such poor service. Flight after flight canceled and often with short notice. Told I do not have a booking when I have an itinerary that shows booking date and flight.I travel for work and WJ is the only airline in the small city of ******* I live in.

      I used to always fly with westjet, mostly because of the superior customer service but as a platinum member I have to say things have significantly declined. I showed up 6 hrs before my flight & 2 hrs prior to the one I wanted to change to. Platinum members get no cost same day flight changes (or are supposed to). I was unexpectedly flying home for a family funeral & was trying to get back for the viewing. The platinum check in desk agent just said “I can’t do it” but would not tell me why. I could see there were seats available on the flight. I then went through security to speak to the gate agent. I was through security, no checked luggage & at the gate before they started boarding. Gate agent said the same thing, “I can’t” without explanation. I then phoned the platinum line then & she said there was room & they are supposed to change it. She couldn’t change it within an hour of the flight. It has to happen at the gate. I said he refused to do it. She suggested I wait until the flight fully boarded & went back to get him to change it. I did that. Gate agent confirmed there were seats but said he could go it because the flight was delayed. I looked out the window to a massive line up trying to board the plane, knowing that one extra person was not going to cause the airline to be delayed further and pointed this out to him. They had plenty of time & numerous opportunities to change the ticket prior to this point. He refused to change it. I explained to all agents I was trying to get home for the family funeral viewing this evening. Service has plummeted to the point that westjet is making *** ****** look good. I recommend avoiding this airline if you expect any compassion or basic customer service. I cannot change things today to get home to the funeral viewing & will never get that back but I can choose a different airline going forward.

      The worst airlines ever. I have travelled a bit but this is one of the worst airlines ever experienced. The worse customer services. And they are forcing people to fly to westjet by blocking money in name of westjet travel credits. They cancelled one of my flight and provided a flight from ******* to ****** with a layover of 2 days. Calling customer services for refund they are just responding back - " we will not give your money back and you are forced to travel with us even though we caused the issue" the worse airlines and even the worse part is that i was travelling with a wheel chair person and they dont have a single percent of remorse for the person on the wheel chair. Lost around ****CAD because they of their issues. people who ever are booking flight with westjet be ready for loosing money and physical strain. there should not be a single star rating for this but some how we are forced to rate it.

      I never had an airline this much bad in service, very bad in customer care, ********** cancelling and changing service with out prior notice, or so close departure time. I strongly believe this airline should be off service. Leaving 1 star only to put this review, west jet is worse air line in whole world. few months ago i booked ticket from *** to ************** changed ticket with out informing. Today they cancelled flight only couple of hours of departure. They have cancelled same flight yesterday too. The customer service is never answer calls.

      If there was a zero ..I'd pick that Cancelled flight last minute Issued a new flight itinerary which was a total flight time of 19 hrs for a 4 hr flight ...didn't pay hotel layover even though I had insurance Didn't seem to want to offer any compensation ..lost a day's pay 179 bucks for hotel ....oh they offered an opology ..that's it ...had to pay extra parking ..had to pay for someone to come back to my house and feed my animals .....never ever ever ever again ****** *** ** west jet *** ***** Stay away ....for travelling across Canada it's gonna be the train from now on ..I've done that a couple times with no issues ...

      I don't know what to say that everything was a disaster. Delay in ********, another one in ******* and I arrived in *********** two hours late...I had the feeling that I traveled by train in Europe. To make it "good", my luggage was left in ******* and came on the next plane, after midnight. Bearing in mind that in the morning I had an important meeting, I had to go to the airport to retrieve my suitcase at 6 am...we cannot rely on their services...they are ridiculous. On departure, they canceled the flight and I had the "pleasure" of finding out at 4 am in the airport. At 8 o'clock in the morning I received an automated phone call to be informed, as I had learned in the morning at the airport, that I would be leaving on the 6 pm flight... what else can I say? by the laughter of the turkeys. My personal opinion...the morning flight being canceled and the passengers being moved to the evening flight, makes me think that they didn't have enough passengers to cover the number of seats and simply canceled the flight. Honestly, I would like to see the lists of passengers to convince myself that I was wrong and they had other reasons... The conclusion is simple... the management of this company must resign for the simple reason that they are not able to offer proper services.
