  Even though I had bed bugs and cockroaches. All my brand new furniture had to be thrown out. 4 mnths of sleeping on my rug. The rug they promised to take out was never removed. I stayed with Avenue living.Repairs to be done. Smoke detector never checked. I stayed.Shoveling the back parking lot in the winter every year for my neighbors. Even shoveled Avenue living out when they got stuck. I dont even own a car. I stayed.The list goes on. Now they are charging me $1108 from $895. My neighbors just signed there new leases. One is paying $1000 another $949. When asked why they put mine so high they answered. Because we can.I have to be out of here by Januart 31st I cant afford the spike in rent. I've lived her for 4 years. Thanks for nothing Avenue living. I will never rent from them again a d tell others about them.

  Bad place to rent from, they took over our building last year and raised rent to unthinkable amount. Now everyone is talking about cockroaches and bed bugs in building. Ive been in the building for 3 years and never had problems, now new tenants move in at all hours of the night, disturbing me, Im on main floor. The building is dirty and garbage room is horrible. They have a camera not hooked up, and I was woken at 230 am to a fight in main entrance and men were beating each other up and the blood is still on the carpet. It scared my retired mother. Definitely not good for my mental health.

  Saw a mouse inside in August. Reported. By November 2023 we were infested. Dropping in kids dressers for clothing and pee stained. My storage room boxes were trashed but used them to get out that he'll hole. Looks can be very deceiving. It is dive. Plus rent from $1400 to $2205. We were broke and saved by a lian ******* to hall like h*** to midnight move from the place we ****** lease with cause. Shocked and dismayed by the criminals who run that property.

  one star because 0 isn't an option. They don't fix what they say they will or they find a way to blame someone else. We had no heat when the below 0 temps hit. They knew the week prior the boiler in the building was not working, yet they said and did nothing. When called they lied and said it was a preventitive maintenance issue. It took 18hrs for them to respond to no heat and a leaking ceiling. I was then told they could do nothing about the ceiling unless they actually saw it leaking and I needed to call when it was. I DID - IT TOOK 18HRS FOR THEM TO SHOW UP! When asked about the heat I was told to call their plumber. I went to the office, of course no manager there (there never is). The admin called the maintenance guy and found out the boiler had a part thad needed replacement, and they were waiting on the vendor, confirming they knew we would not have heat. They don't return calls, they don't fix anything, they do not give legal notice of entry. They allow drug dealers to operate out of their buildings. They allow hoarder situations in their apartments and do nothing about the related infestations. they allow meth heads to break into the building and live under the stairs. They charge previous tenants for replacements and repairs they never make. They charge only certain tenants for parking while others park for free. if you pay them for tenant's insurance, you don't have insurance, just another fee. You will pay for garbage removal to them and also have to pay the city you live in. They act like you work for them and act like they are doing you a huge favor by showing up to fix their crap, if they show up at all. They do not enter to do repairs when they say they will, they just go in whenever they want. Luckily I have a dog that will not allow it. Now I am expected to lock my dog up all day in case they actually show up. Honestly being homeless is a far better option than renting from these high priced slum lords

  Aside from the horrendous rent hikes, the Avenue Living maintenance staff is beyond reproach, especially a friendly, courtious, professional named ***. Truely the crown jewel in *********** maintenance staff!

  We have lived in *************************** in ******** for 3 1/2 years. It has been our pleasure to deal with them and especially our property manager, *********************, for 2 1/2 years. We understand he is moving back to ***** and we will miss him terribly.

  This company did a credit check without permission from me as due to suffering with 3 mental illnesses I am exempt from them and my fianc was supposed to be the only person who was on the application and I was told that they just wanted to see my government ID and I showed that y have steady income for life. My fiance has a 800 credit score and we have flawless referrals. We were told basically we would be signing our lease with in a hour and would be able to move in to he next Friday. Well lies again we messaged and called and finally 5 days later and we were told again that we had submit an application. We drove 6 hours to view this apartment and ended our search because we were told we had it. They said 6 days later and caused us to miss out on two other properties that we were approved for because the other property management company knew how to do their job and this company only knows how to lie they put their mistakes on every one else like their leasing agent. We were told he was the one with all our answers but all he could say was its out of his hands. Their call centre even lied telling us the agent for ********** was on holiday but only to find out that their are 3 of them. In the end they ran a check on me even though I didnt authorize it and denied us. I gave proof that they messed up and told them that we easily qualified for the apartment but they didnt even respond and cancelled our other appointments. * ********* * ********* **** *** ********** *** ****** * ****** ****** ** **** ******* ** *** ********** ******* *** ****** ************** ** * ******** *********** ******. Were absolutely devastated and now on be verge of being homeless because of the time they wasted and leading us to believe that bywe had the place. Beware of these people they dont *********** in the world that they have caused us so much damage and stress. They only want to find out what they can *** you out at nobody seem like they have a clue on the laws and rules

  Horrible disgusting poorly maintained overpriced slum houses. Worst rental agency in all of Canada. Cockroaches and mold and the sliding door to balcony wasn’t weather sealed, I would wake up to my unit being below 5 degrees c in the winter. Had to threaten to sue just so I could end my lease early and find somewhere that was actually fit for living. Surprised there’s been no class action suits against avenue seeing as everybody has poor experiences. Better off living in your car in a Walmart parking lot than living in an avenue living unit. Stay far away from these people they will ruin your sanity.

  ********* townhouses from avenue living is the worst. We were told that we were getting a mirror of the showing unit. We received a unit without dishwasher, the bathroom had a crack. The upper units are noisy our unit flooded three times in a month due to heavy rains. Now we are requesting to break our lease as we have mould in one of the bredrooms.
