      Since ****** took over Shaw DIrect Satellite we have been having problems with our receivers (and we have been with Shaw for over 20 years now with no problems in those 20 years). We have recently received 4 new receivers in the past month with the same problem (they reboot at least 10 times a day, not funny when you are watching a football game or a hockey games that is in overtime). I have phoned them at least 10 times now and no one knows what the hell is going on. All they say is that there must be a problem with the hardware in the receivers - but come on receivers have the same problem. So they keep sending me receivers and receivers. Some day the problem will get fixed, I hope. Janice P

      This is the worst experience dealing with SHAW ever!!!! We have been with them for 10 years and all of a sudden they said we have to updgrade our receivers or risk losing channels.....so we upgraded our 3 receivers and to do so, we had to commit to signing on for a 2 year contract.....NOW, we have noticed that we have lost a considerable amount of channels and the satellite service is down at least once a week....I am currently on hold and have been for over an hour even though the recording said approximate waiting time was 18 minutes....I will be contacing CRTC to make a formal complain about SHAW.....I am counting the days until this contract is over and I will give BELL CANADA all of my business......I am paying $135/ month for less channel that I had before we upgrading the receivers and BELL was $10 cheaper/month with 50 more channels then what we are getting now.....****** *** *** *******!!!

      I'm trying to purchase an ***** receiver to replace our existing unit. We've had a Shaw Direct account for more than 10 years. Buying a pvr from them should be easy. So far it's been impossible, unless I want to go to Amazon and pay $100 more. ****** online sites are focussed on rentals, and selling subscriptions. It might be time for a change.

      Ive had the worst experience with the fraudulent **** /****** . I was on seasonal break . During the break I returned my equipment . Months and months later I received a bill for 595 dollars . They knew I had no gear or service . I couldnt get through to their agents eventually I got through to a supervisor who told me pretty much to f off and they sent me to collections . I will never ever ever recommend their service . Horrible staff and service

      We thank you for your feedback,When a customer contacts ******************** to process a seasonal downgrade, they are informed that it's a temporary suspension of services. Customers need to provide a seasonal start date and then an automatic reconnection date to resume their service. During the seasonal, customers can contact **** to either change the automatic reconnection date or just cancel service, if not, service will resume at the date that was originally selected. Shaw Direct appreciates being given the opportunity to clarify the matter.

      Terrible service and wait times. Was on hold for 1.5 hrs and hung up without answer. Heard " Our customers are at the heart of everything we do" about 100 times while on hold. What a bunch of B.S. They clearly aren't living this tagline. Took 50 minutes to get live agent through chat. Tired of this continual frustration so have cancelled all of my services. They lost a lifetime customer.

      Responded to email asking if I wanted new receivers and waited for tracking number email for when they would be sent (Sept 18). In the mean time stations were dropped from my current service and no stations transmit. Called on status and apparently new receivers were sent back. Never received the Canada Post notice to pick up. Now told new receivers will be sent and a tracking number will be emailed. It is over a month now, no tracking number and no satellite service yet still being billed. Chat rep said he would initiate a shipping last week and told to check email for tracking. Chat rep Tuesday said will be sent out that day, but still no notice sent by email. Using up my R****S data to watch news on my phone. Does Shaw even have enough receivers to send out? It shouldn't be this complicated if they are changing equipment and customers shouldn't have to request the receivers...it should be an auto delivery by courier especially for rural areas!!

      "CUSTOMERS ARE AT THE HEART OF OUR BUSINESS" - SO THEY SAY! I just spent one hour and twenty-two minutes (1:22) on hold with Shaw Direct for the privilege of upgrading my receivers to THEIR new system so we can watch basic TV. We are customers since 2001 and still have to put up with this absolutely terrible customer service of this duopoly with ***** Most other competitive businesses with this poor customer support would go bankrupt! When will our protectionist government allow more competition? Peter ***

      They have cut off a program that I pay for separately for many many years. The message about requiring new equipment to watch some programs has been running for weeks, but never with the curtesy to customers to inform the date they would be ceasing transmission. I just spent 50 minutes on hold to your so called Customer Service # listening to a recording of how important I am as a customer, something very ironic about that. So now I assume I am still paying extra for my program, can no longer watch it and cannot reach a service to assist me in solving the issue. An average of 46 customers have given a one star review…I did as well, and even that is too high. *** ******, a very long time and dissatisfied customer

      Ever since ****** took over Shaw the customer service has gone down hill big time. I read someplace on line that they have cut support staff by 40% !!!!! They still love my money but care less about helping me when I need it. Useless company. All about the shareholders pockets.
