      Terrible Customer Service since ****** I always had good service previously but now it is terrible They keep cutting channels Wait time over 60 minutes to get customer service both on phone and on line and you keep hearing how important the customer is just a plie of crap no recommended at all

      I was a shaw satellite customer for 12+ years & paid by automatic withdrawals from my bank. I cancelled my shaw satellite service 6 July 2023. Canceling was an arduous, time consuming task involving confusing phone trees & hours of wait times. I advised the service rep I spoke to that I was cancelling my service bcc my satellite signal had stopped working , refreshing signal hadn't worked & online tech was unable to resolve problem. At that time I was told no service appointments were available for next 6 weeks & they were unable to give me an appointment further out than six weeks so someone would call me when appointment rep appointmentwas available. I waited 2+ weeks then went out & fiddled with dish until I got a signal. NO ONE EVER CALLED ME TO SET UP SERVICE REPAIR APPOINTMENT! I was told when I cancelled service that all equipment was being upgraded so I would not be receiving a box to use to return PVR & no one would come to pick up dish. NOW i'm receiving past due notices & return of equipment requests! Is shaw ******* * **** hoping the elderly have such bad memories that we'd get confused? Judith S

      I guess its like a broken record The absolute worst service you can imagine I am lying here in a hospital bed had to sell my home and now trying to get rid of my Shaw direct satellite account Been busy with that for two hrs and finally got redirected to the loyalty dept.Tried different nrs that were given to me by a useless chat service and had re direct after re direct You premium money and do not have a choice in this matter because there is only one alternative for which the service is absolutely no different Good luck with your shaw account Unbelievable horrible service

      I had Shaw Direct at a property that I have sold. I've been trying to cancel the account for weeks. You can only do it by phone. Through their chat feature they give you the phone number and prompts to get you to the loyalty department. If you follow those prompts you end up at sales where they offer to transfer you and then the call is dropped. Yesterday I was on hold for 1 hour and 14 minutes before the call was dropped. Today again it is over 1 hour and I'm still waiting. I can't even remove my automatic payment. When I try to use the my.shaw website it takes me to a shaw cable account that I cancelled in 2020. I will never ever use Shaw or R***** going forward. Perhaps someone from inside the Company should try calling in to test their system to understand why customers are looking for providers.

      The phone number existing on this customers account is invalid,therefore we could not contact the customer. With furthur investigation we became aware that the customer did call in on August 01,2023 and had her request completed.This is now resolved.

      The worst customer service I have ever dealt with, Been waiting weeks to have a technician come finally the day arrives of my appointment and no one shows up, hours waiting on phones , being transfrered saying they cant help. Never again will I deal with such an awful business.

      Just like previous customers, cancelled my account, was told over the phone they refund any receiver returned with a certain serial number, in exchange of $50 each. We returned 2 = $100. We have the *********** confirmation which the box was received. They say they got only one (??) I had a balance of $10 to pay, therefore, by balance became as a credit of $40. I made tons of calls, chat, email... to be answered either they don't have the 2nd one, or I would receive a cheque within 10 days. Not only I never got a cheque, but the $40 credit in my account disappeared.Bunch of thieves.

      We appreciate the opportunity to review this former customer's comments and provide a response. It is true that Shaw Direct presently offers a buyback option for certain receivers when customers close their accounts. This offer applies to fully customer-owned equipment. This does not apply to rental equipment. We have reviewed the account in question and can confirm that, at closing, there was 3 receivers documented on the account, only 1 of which was fully owned by the customer (the other 2 being rentals). The customer was therefore entitled to a payout of $50, which was credited top the account. This left a small credit balance outstanding, which we have asked our admin team to process a refund cheque for, which will be sent to the customer's mailing address on file.       Longtime customer with Shaw. In 2018 they provided me with a PBR receiver, lifetime free rental. Receiver died in 2020. We continued to use the other receiver we had. Moved in 2021, continued to use Shaw until November of 2021. Reception in New rural location was terrible, constantly having to reboot, losing signal etc. Canceled service all paid up. We were told we had to return PBR receiver from 2018 or pay 167$. I don't have the receiver they are talking about anymore. I mailed back what I had left. They have sent the 167$ amount to the Credit Bureau who call my home every other day. They don't care about return of the satellite dish or any other old equipment, just some lousy receiver from 2018. After 15+ years of being a loyal customer? I am disgusted.

      Hello and thank you for the opportunity to respond to this customer complaint. We have reviewed the record of the call to disconnect and find that the applicable non-return fee was properly explained to the customer at the time. This is a fee that all our customers that benefit from lifetime free rental equipment are subject to once they terminate their services. The fee is normally reversed once we can confirm the return of the equipment to our warehouse. Thank you.

      Tried to cancel my account after several bad transactions. I was on hold for 16 minutes, 29 minutes & 27 minutes and they ‘disconnected’ from me each time I asked to speak to someone so I could cancel my service. I don’t know how to do it so I guess I just stop payment and let them cancel on me.

      I have been on hold and on the phone with Shaw Direct for hours today. We have been loyal customers of this company for over 25 years. Without informing us they are in the process of decommissioning all of our receivers. Our equipment is bought and paid for owned outright. The only options given to us is to get a couple of free rentals and purchase other equipment. This is a slap in the face for someone who has dealt with them exclusively for over twenty five years. They refuse to send us out replacement receivers to keep a customer. I am so disappointed in this company. Do I have any means of resolving this situation? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      We decided to cancel our satellite TV In February, I am still receiving bills and calls from collection agents on May 17. Yesterday I tried twice for over an hour each time to call and get this figured out I even have the tracking number proving I sent my receiver back. So over an hour today I logged into a chat. They have finally closed my account. I thank the lady ******, But SHAW DIRECT all of your other customer service experience ****. I will never get it again

Any invoicing sent was regarding unreturned equipment fees associated to rental hardware that needed to be returned to Shaw Direct upon cancellation of services.
