      I bought an engagement ring at ******** ******** in October 2021 and I was offered an interest free card (interest free for 16 months) through ******* ********* to pay for the balance. I agreed and paid the ring through *******. Fast forward to May 2022, and I wanted to sign in to ******* to make sure I was not being charged interest. I was told I had to create an account on ******* to view my balance, so I did.

      At the time of sign up, I was not offered any option to opt in OR opt out of any insurance. However, evidently I was signed up for insurance without my consent because now in Sept 2022, I see I've been billed almost $200 for insurance by Trans Global Insurance (TGI). This appears on my ******* summary. I checked my email, and there was an email form TGI in my spam folder, which I never saw and thus never cancelled the insurance.
      I've tried calling TGI and *******, both of which are refusing to help me with a refund for insurance I did not consent to receiving. I'm told that "a pop up appears on your screen asking to opt in to insurance, and [I] must've agreed to it". I certainly did not agree to any insurance by accident or on purpose. I always refuse extra insurance and/or to join newsletters, etc. ******* says it's out of their hands, and TGI tells me to contact ******* because they cannon help or refund me.

      After a google search and finding many reviews about Trans Global Insurance, it appears hundreds of other Canadians are faced with the same issue: all being opted into an insurance they did no consent to and being charged hundreds of dollars.

      I would kindly appreciate the ***'s assistance in this issue as I've been scammed out of around $200. I don't want to pay it and lose my money, but I'm afraid that if I refuse to pay, my ******* account will start incurring interest, and I will be stuck with a much larger fee. Sadly, this is not an isolated incident, as many other reviewers seem to indicate the same issue.

      I purchased a dishwasher a year ago from Thebrick and it started having issues more than 2 months ago. I had purchased a warranty (**** *** *****) when I bought it so I would be covered in case if a repair. Well, I am in need of just that. I reached out to **** *** ***** on June 28th to submit a claim. Let me tell you that purchasing this warranty was a horrible mistake. **** *** ***** is THE WORST company I've ever been in contact with to fix my issue. They sent a technician to my house on 3 seperate occasions within the last 2 months in order to repair my dishwasher and the repair has yet to happen. First they said it needed a pump so I had to wait 3 weeks for an update and another house call. The second time the unit was not fixed because apparently they ordered the wrong part. Waited another 3 or so weeks for them to visit again only to tell me that the unit couldnt be fixed and that I would need a replacement. Well I've now been waiting another 20 days and still nothing. I called them and waited on line for more than an hour on a few occasions and got hung up on a few times and someone said that there was no note in my file for a replacement and that now magically the unit can be fixed. So I am tired of all this running around. I have better things to do with my time than wasting it being on the phone with these people. I asked them for a refund to get a new dishwasher a week ago anf have yet to hear back when they said they would call me back in 24 to 48h. I need to have something done ASAP

      The customer purchased a dishwasher on March 18th, 2021 at the Edmonton North Brick location on invoice *********** with extended warranty.

      After reviewing the details of this complaint, we can confirm that a technician was dispatched, and the repair was completed on October 28th, 2022.
