      Bcaa have increased the price of roadside assistance membership ***** in 2 years absolutely unacceptable!!!Way to go NDP!! We are going elsewhere, have cancelled our membership of 18 years. In a time when people are financially having difficulties you raise your membership 40% in 2 years, again way to go NDP!!!

      Heres a more polished and concise version of your review:---**A Cautionary Tale:**I cancelled my BCAA membership back in January 2024 as I no longer needed insurance. To my surprise, I later found out that the membership is a contract for a full year. Fine, I accepted that. However, I kept receiving renewal notices, which seemed odd, so I called BCAA to confirm my membership was indeed cancelled. I was assured that it was, and that no renewal would occur. They also confirmed they didn't have my credit card on file.The next ***** the renewal dateI was shocked to see a charge from BCAA on my credit card! After checking my account, I discovered that while my membership was cancelled, my home insurance had renewed for another year! Furious, I called the same customer ********************** *** I had spoken to earlier and reminded them that I specifically requested no renewals. After some back-and-forth, I was transferred to a manager who told me I had cancelled the membership but not the renters insurance, which was a separate matter. I couldn't believe it! I didnt realize I had to be so explicit when saying cancel my membership to also mean cancel any other policies tied to the same account. The manager eventually refunded the charge and confirmed there would be no further payments.While Ive used BCAA for over 10 years for travel insurance, I will never use them again after this experience. When a customer asks to cancel their membership, it should be understood to include all policies attached to the account.

      Terrible policies for BCAA home insurance! Wasn't informed of auto renewal and they make it very difficult to cancel policy. You can buy insurance easily online but to cancel, you sit on hold forever to talk to an agent. If you miss their timeline to cancel, you are surprised with a $61.73 cancellation charge! Complained about the charges and told the agent, I won't be doing business with them again and their response was, "well you can't win them all."

      On May 19 I had a driver from BCAA attend metro town centre for a service call the drivers name is ***. I found this driver very professional and helpful,had my vehicle towed to my home as my tire fell off and was blocking traffic. Thank you so much ***.************************.

      I had a low tire pressure issue and **** of 102 towing unit in ******* helped me out in no time at all, and inflated the tire so I could take it to the shop to get fixed. Best service anywhere.

      Me and my husband are currently stuck abroad and have wasted hours of our lives calling and dealing with this insurance. Only to find out theyre not helping us. My husband hurt his back badly (so bad that he cant sit and so obviously cant fly).We were told on the phone by an agent that he gets an extension of 7 days past his flight date ( not going to be fit to fly in 7 days), but after 3 days they told us he should have been able to fly so no extension. We have a CT scan and a note from an orthopaedic surgeon that hes not fit to fly. Yet this insurance says he is. They clearly just want ** to stop calling and not spend a dime. Whats the point of paying for an insurance if they just make your life harder. Wouldnt recommend them for a travel insurance to anyone!!!!

      We (me and my husband) purchased travel insurance through BCAA and it's been an absolute nightmare. My husband is not fit to fly back home to ****** (we have a signed document from a physician), but because he's not hospitalized, apparently that's a big problem. Instead of being happy that it's not costing the insurance thousands a day, we'll have to pay to extend our coverage until he can fly.... It's infuriating, because he literally can't sit and only be up for a couple of minutes. But wait, there's more, when trying to pay for that extension, we're being sent around and around and around. I've wasted hours of my life on something that should be very easy. Each time we call back, it's another agent with another story.It comes down to this: they'd love to leave us stranded abroad with no coverage. I will never purchase any insurance from BCAA again and would highly recommend searching insurance elsewhere.

      1. Wait time on Feb 16/24 was promised to be 1 hour. Turned out to be 2.5 hours. Spoke to three agents, all casually gave no indication when a tow truck would ever arrive. Thats not workable and it isnt at all professional. The fourth agent finally apologized for the wait and a truck came 30 minutes later. 2. This is the second day I am waiting for the second tow contractor (Feb 21/24) to send me a receipt for the overage. When you pay for something by credit card, an immediate receipt, even by email, is in order. 3. FYI: this is on a BCAA family membership going back over 25 years. 4. By way of your apology, I suggest one free upgrade for this year only from our 5km basic package to your 120km suburb package, which is about a $40 difference. 5. ********** the tow truck contractors were great both times as was the call centre agent on Feb 21/24. He politely said it would be a two hour wait and it was exactly that.

      We have had home insurance with BCAA for many years. We were looking to add a admendum to our home insurance policy - rental insurance because we are now renting our the house and living elsewhere in the province. The agent advised us that BCAA would cover our home to be a rental only until the end of the policy (May ****) then we would have to find another broker. This is not fair in our opinion. We have not had any claims, nor have we been refused claims.Why are we being penalized just because we are now renting out our home and not personally living in it.

      Called at 8pm for a tire change. Told to wait up to 2 hours . Then told to wait till 2 am. Waited for 2 hours In My vehicle and then another 2 hours . Just tell the truth in the first place. . The customer can make find alternatives
