We are unsatisfied, since this issue had caused our family inconvenience for the last 20 days.I have just finished e-mailing the sales rep ***** *** and requested to expedite my request to his superior, requesting to return both appliances for full refund. My name is ***** ******, on Dec 21/2024, I went into Coast Appliance with my son ***** *****, on the assumption I was buying 2 brand new machines, *************** We picked them up on Dec 23/2024. We hooked them up and was putting the 1st load into the dryer and started making a noise, took them out to look n try see what was going on, could not see anything, plugged it back in and dryer hose and put load back in and the noise was there again. We then phoned Coast Appliance and told them and asked them if they would replace the dryer asap, and they told both of us , they wouldnt be replacing it, they would be sending someone out to take a look at it, I told them I strongly felt they should be replacing it , since it was defected right off the bat. I told them I came in to the store on the assumption I was buying brand new and not a defected dryer and asked what are they taking off for this defected dryer, they told me , it wasnt up to them, I could phone whirlpool , I did proceed to phone whirlpool and they were no help and tracked me back to Coast Appliance and they said their sending a appliance technician out, They set up a appt, then they were trying to tell on a txt they knew what was wrong with and theyll wait to bring parts out, I then asked them how can yous tell whats wrong with it, yous didnt even look at it yet, they finally came out and the maintenance man said it was defected and he dosent understand why they just didnt exchange it, to this date Jan 4/2025, we still have no dryer fixed. The dryer is a whirlpool, grey in color.I strongly feel they should replace my whirlpool dryer with a brand new one, wherever else you go, and buy something new and its defective its always replaced, Im not saying Im not going to buy another one, I just strongly feel Coast Appliance should be replacing the machine, I did everything they asked us to do and they havent fixed nothing on their part. Were still without a dryer, Id appreciate a answer asapBusiness Response

Purchased of ******* clothes dryer in Nov. 27, 2024 in the amount of $499.95. The problem of the dryer started December 3, 2024 with some operational problems. The store sent an email to ******* and service guy came for 2 visits after he fixed the first problem of the clothes dryer. The Coast appliances sent me several emails to buy an extended warranty insurance. I was convinced and bought the extended warranty insurance in the amount of $282.45 in February that will start in February 2025. I was told by the sales representative of the store that the 1st year warranty will be covered by the manufacturer. In May 2024 I had to placed another service for the clothes dryer. It was fixed on the same month. In October 2024 I had to placed a service again for the clothes dryer until now it wasn't fixed but visited 2x by the service guy. Since it was service 3x I am demanding a replacement for the clothes dryer unit or returned my money back and refund of the extended warranty service since it was not use yet. All the request declineBusiness Response

We bought our Fulgor Milano gas range over 2 and 1/2 years ago from Coast Appliances in ******* and the oven continues to have an unresolved issue of not lighting up when turned on. The warranty is with ***************** Brands, the distributor, and they have sent a technician out at least 7 times but the oven works for a while then quits. At this point we want this range replaced since it hasnt worked as it should from the outset. We have been very patient to this point but now want a permanent solution.Business Response

I bought a ******** washer and dryer from Coast Appliances on Sept. 22/24. I paid: $2731.86. Within the 30 days, I contacted Coast Appliances several times to report my concerns and unhappiness with these machines. I also contacted the Distributor who referred me back to Coast Appliances. I had the **************** come out (after they demanded I get my dryer vent professionally cleaned out, which made no difference) and dismissed my complaints about the washing machine (I cannot see the controls; I have to physically turn off the machine after each wash; the washing tub is half the size of the dryer tub; and, I cannot fit more than a couple of items in the washer). I am unable to add anything to the wash once it starts and have to drain all the water and start all over again. My hydro bill has gone up 13% since I got these machines and I use them half as much as the old machines. The dryer takes up to 2 hours to dry my clothes. The timed heat (extra heat) does not work on 10 minutes as the clothes are barely warm. Again, I have to stay home to make sure I physically turn off the power when the dryer is finished. I am not asking for my money back. I just want these awful machines replaced by a new brand of 24 inch washer and dryer. Otherwise, have them come and pick them up and give me my money back. Please help me as this has caused weeks of stress and expense for me.Thank-you, ******* ***** ************Business Response

Bought a Bosch dishwasher from Coast Appliances in June 2024.All seemed fine for the first few weeks. We had noticed very occasional, small water pools on the floor underneath the sinks over recent weeks, and has been getting gradually worse.Unable to identify the leak, we engaged a plumber, who informed us that Coasts installers snapped the threaded housing for the hose from the hot water feed. The hose is a one-piece unit that needs to be replaced (requiring the dishwasher to be reinstalled)Coast Appliances are not responding with any concrete plans or action. They have repeatedly given us invalid information: *Directed us to an appliance installation outfit that had no record of attending our address. *Given us the name of an installer, without any contact details. Needless to say we heard nothing from the alleged installer.*Relayed the complaint to the Sales team who work directly with the installer and of course, weve heard nothing from them either.Last response was Coast have contacted the installation company and they 'have advised they may not assist further. We have reached out to our part supplier so we may address this concern directly with you and no further follow up, despite further requests for answers.Customer Answer

I ordered a refrigerator from Coast Appliances for a high rise rental apartment I own in *******. I paid for the refrigerator, delivery and installation, removal of the old refrigerator and the disconnection of the water line for the ice maker on the old unit. I did not pay to have the line reconnected as I was told the new fridge had no ice maker. After the appliance was delivered the following issues were reported by my tenant (abridged). "Hi ******, There are only the delivery team and the technician to remove the waterline. About the waterline, the technician tried to dismantle it and he was unable to shut it off completely and the water kept flowing. He has no plugs or parts to terminate the waterline. So he has to connect waterline to the new fridge while keeping the switch mostly shut. He mentioned that the ice maker needs to be remain off or the pump will fry. As there are no installation teams, the technician and the delivery team only push the fridge back to the space without levelling it and securing it in place. Now that the fridge is sliding forward whenever I open the fridge." This brings to light two critical issues I have with Coast Appliances:Leveling a fridge and safe installation is part of any paid delivery and installation service. An unlevel fridge is unsafe and a fridge sliding forward when doors are open presents a crushing hazard. I have talked to other branches of your company in ** which have all stated that ensuring a fridge is level is standard practice other locations have not indicated it was service nor was it discussed with ***** a customer I was told this fridge did not have an in-freezer ice maker. If I was aware of the existence of an in-freezer ice machine, I would have had the line re-installed. The spec sheet on this fridge I was provided upon ordering did not show an ice maker either. The store has indicated that to level the fridge and install the water line correctly they will charge me for a call out.Business Response

We had a washer dryer installed by Coast Appliances in July '24 . The hot water hose was connected to the cold water tap in error. Cold water hose was not connected at all. Vent was broken by instillation team, not reported or repaired, dryer was left to vent into the apartment.I ended up having to pay another plumber to correct the errors and fix the vent connection.I've reached out to Coast multiple times to provide them with the opportunity to rectify. They responded once to set up a time to speak, which I replied to immediately but to date have not gotten back to me and its been 3 weeks. This has matter has consumed too much time and been an inconvenience to my tenants.See ticket #'s ******, ****** & ******Business Response

I purchased a Electrolux Washer and Gas Dryer matching laundry pair on September 17/ 2024.On their website it says they have the Dryer online in stock and delivery and or pickup is available a week later. Because of them saying it was in stock is the reason I purchased it. A week later I was told they have the Washer but not the Dryer. I initially told the Salesman that I would give them 2 weeks to get the product when he told me it would be 1 1/2 weeks to get the Dryer from the date of purchase. Today is 2 weeks and no sign of the Dryer. So I told the Salesman to ****** and refund my purchase. He asked me to wait another week. I said no. He then told me I would be charged a 30 % restocking fee on the dryer because it was a special order. How is an advertised "in stock" appliance Special Order ? And then take the 30 % and delivery charges, etc. ! This is blatant false advertising at its retail best ! I feel they breached the contract based on what has transpired to date and that there should not be a re stocking fee on something that doesn't exist. Is this even legal ? Apparently it is. Coast Appliances is a total rip off.Business Response
