Best buy implies that they service warranties in store and that "you are covered" "worry free support" when in fact it is a 3rd party insurance and their repair policy is very misleading. The wording of the contract of extended warranty is ambiguous with an interpretation open so that the company can provide the lowest quality of repair with very little backing that it is of value. I am speechless as to how they can operate a business with that kind of misleading promotional advertising.Best Buy Canada Ltd.

If I would give 0/5 I would. What legitimate business wouldn't issue a refund on 2 items that were out of stock. On Jan 30, 2023 I placed orders of 4 mouse and only 2 were in stock. Only 2 got delivered. I have chatted, emailed and called Best Buy more than 7 times rehashing the situation which has been such a time sink. Each time the rep reassured me the refund would be issued back to my gift cards I used for the purchase in 3 to 5 biz days. They were all misinformed or lying as that was never the case. Fast forward now it's been a month and Best buy still has not issued my refund! I'm sick and tired as well for having to follow up on checking my gift card balance and being disappointed to be cheated on. Is this a new scam by Best buy that they don't refund even though the customers paid for items not delivered? Unbelievable. I'd like Best buy to contact me. I have a feeling I will be calling them 50x before I see my money back, this is fraud! My advice if you use gift cards for purchases check for refunds as the onus is on you to check as they simply don't care about committing fraud.Best Buy Canada Ltd.

1 starI've spent $2000.00 the past two months at Best Buy and I wanted to cancel my membership the other day because I haven't needed it and changed my mind. Tried to cancel in-store and was given a phone number. After calling ten times and trying every option available, I finally just called the number online and after a few more tries got a HUMAN BEING on the phone and told her what I wanted. She forwarded me to another person who I could barely understand (thick accent, no offence) and he finally informed me that I can cancel my membership, but I still have to pay for the full year. I would have never signed up, had I known this. I listened carefully when I signed up, and was never told I was in it for a year. He survivals told her I can cancel any time (which is technically true BUT PRETTY **** MISLEADING) when you can cancel sure but you still have to PAY . I'm disgusted, and can't believe after all the business I've given best buy, they won't let me out of the membership. Ridiculous. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THEIR MEMBERSHIP. This sounded great and I ordered. While the product was available at stores and online through Best Buy Canada I was routed to a product seller OUTSIDE OF CANADA. Thus, I was charged high duty for a broker to pick up the product at customs. We are in a recession. I want to support Canadian stores and businesses. Best Buy CANADA did not take reasonable steps to inform me of what a marketplace seller is, or warn me that I was leaving their online Canadian store to purchase from another seller. Although Best Buy describes these sellers as “trusted” and vetted, this is not true or they would be willing to receive returns to their store, honouring that it is a comparable product. I feel this practice is not transparent and the online equivalent of bait and switch. Greater steps need to be taken to inform people more clearly that they are buying a marketplace product and encourage Canadian purchases. For example, “The product you have selected is not sold by Best Buy and as a result it does not qualify for our low price guarantee and it can not be returned to a Best Buy store.” If you care about the Canadian economy, you would then suggest and identify the equivalent product that can be purchased at a Canadian store. I hope your Canadian owners and employees realize that you are putting them out of business by selling their business to other countries. ***** ** ****Best Buy Canada Ltd.

1 starWorst place to purchase from, try to buy some where else!!!I ordered an iPad from Best Buy and was told it would come on January 21 to the store , I explained I had a business trip I was going on a few days later so I wanted to make double sure it would be here on time the salesman guaranteed it. It didnt arrive on the 21 ,22 or the 23 it still hadnt arrived on the 24, I went to Best Buy to get a refund and go buy the iPad from the Apple Store but when I spoke to the manager they refused a refund because I didnt have the product. I explained the circumstance and although the manager agreed that the iPad was to come to their store but because of some shipping glitch they really dont know where the iPad was and they wouldnt refund unless I have the iPad. I furthermore asked them just how long they planned not to refund me, what if the iPad never shows up? The answer I got is in five to six days they will expedite looking into the missing shipment and contact me when they know something. If a store cant supply the item they sold you why cant they refund me you ask, because they dont feel like it. The only way things will change is to hold the store responsible for their poor customer service and in the ********************** buy some where else. Make sure you tell other possible customers of your disrespecting treatment you received at Best buy and encourage them to shop some where else. 1 starI bought a ******* 58 inch TV from Best Buy on 7/03/21 and purchased warranty for it until 7/03/2025. Tv quit in Dec 18th 2022 . I then wet through the process of filing a service request with the Geek squad since the the Tv repair called and told me they cannot get parts to fix my Tv. He notified them and said it is none repairable. I have talked t geek squad reps at least 10 times and getting nowhere. I have no idea when this will be resolved as each rep tells me they are working on my claim .it is Jan . 13 th 2023 still no idea what is going on .Best buy store on Walker Road will not honour warranty until geek squad gets results .I went in to ****** TV repair and Elias the Tv repair confirmed the Tv is not repairable and he will let the geek squad know.Review fromRaymond C

Ordered an item on Best Buy web site from a Best Buy market place seller. Shortly after making the online purchase found it cheaper on ****** thus tried to cancel the order (within 40 minutes of placing the order). However I was informed that I could not cancel the order. Called Best Buy customer service and spoke to Dione W who told me that she cancelled the ordered. Dione W mentioned that once ordered cancelled I should receive an email regarding the cancellation. Still have not received an email confirming the cancellation. When I checked Best Buy website I found out that the order is still being processed. Don't buy from Best Buy because their business practices are terrible. I've made a lot of online purchases but I have never had the experience where the customer could not cancel an order when they did not want the product. Absolute terrible serviceBest Buy Canada Ltd.

1 starPurchased a black ****** watch from BestBuy.ca, I received a grey one instead. When I contacted the corporation to request that they give me what I ordered, they claim that because it was a marketplace seller I needed to take it up with them. I was stunned. This seems to be a new thing that all large online retaillers are doing. They allow third party sellers to sell on their sites and then claim that they are not responsible.
I looked into the third party seller and I am quite disgusted at what I found. They have thousands of bad reviews from people claiming all sorts of unscrupulous behavior. When the seller has too many bad reviews they simply change their seller name and keep right on ******** ******. I also noticed that whenever there is bad review posted to the sellers account, there are immediatly two or three five star reviews that are so obviously fake, that follow.
BestBuy cannot claim to be ignorant of this fact, they are complicit in defrauding the public. I will be bringing this to the attention of the appropriate authorities. It is time that our elected officials get involved to bring in legislation to put an end to this kind of malfeasance.Review fromPratik P.

Lately, they havent been honouring there daily limits. They keep changing the amounts a few days after I have placed my order. Which is annoying, becuase you loose out from ordering on sale from other stores. As well. they give better discounts and specials from regular best buy online.
