1 starBeen with Telus for years and never really investigated my bill until I got a bill of over $300. I called them and the loyalty team agreed to extend a promo and bring the bill down. The agent then offered me a home phone. I said I didnt want it as I dont even have a landline set. He then said h*** offer a $50 credit for me to get a phone and my bill would be only $10. He was very nice and I thought $10 was decent. My next bill came and $10 was $39! And I didnt see the $50 credit AND my internet bill was now higher. I called yet again and spoke to another agent who promised to handle that. Still no talk of the $50 credit. Then I decide to investigate my Smart home service. The package didnt seem reasonable to me especially in this day and age when you can buy the keypad and camera on Amazon for a one time fee. I then told the agent I would like to cancel. He said itll cost me $1700 to cancel an $18/month service and if I decide to leave Telus, I would be liable to pay almost $5,000. Im speechless. Telus is an awful service provider with no regard for customers. Oh and the agent repeats himself and tells me, yeah its called a contract.Review fromHeather T

I have been paying $31.50 per month for no service at all. I was with ADT, wasnt told they were going out of business and Telus was taking over. Customers with ADT shouldve been given the choice to end their contracts before Telus took over.My security system doesnt work at all. Doorbell camera and garage door sensor, havent worked for months. I have called and complained they cut me off and say its my fault. I asked if they could send some to look at it. I was told they dont do that. I finally asked to have my contract canceled, they are going to charge me over $200.00 to cancel it. I have cancelled everything I had with Telus except for the security system. I will never have Telus as a provider for anything again. Customer service is non existent. I dont believe they know what customer service means.Telus

We were told to book in so that they could upgrade their fibre. We booked immediately only to receive a message a day later advising that they required more information and our appointment had been cancelled. We immediately contacted them only to be told that they did not need any more information, they did not know why we received this message or why the appointment was cancelled. They rebooked us. The following day we received the same message as above and same rebooking. This continued and we are at booking number 6. We have been told we will lose service if it is not updated by the 26th of the month. Yet they still can not give us a booking, and do not know when techs are available. Unsure what to doTelus

Telus has been absolutely horrible. They are not transparent in their communication and each agent tells a different story and "resolution". I recently went on a cruise and was NOT informed of the cruising roaming. I was in the states and Canada the entire time...I could see land on both sides of me. I did not ONCE get a text message saying I was using cruise ship roaming. They let me rack up over $400 in charges before sending me a text message TWO WEEKS LATER outlining the overages. When I finally spoke to someone on the phone, she was unable to assist me and transferred me to the WRONG department. I spent an hour on the phone with them and finally they agreed to call me back twice. Neither time did I receive a call back. I then had to reach out yet again and waste more of my time trying to contact the escalations department. Once I finally got ahold of them, all they offered was a discount of half. Not once did I receive notification that I was over or being charged for anything, I couldn't pull it up on my end and quite frankly Telus didn't care. I have been with them for years and this is the final string before I pull my home and mobile from them completely. I expect more from Telus and I am so saddened that this is what this company has come to. Customers should be informed when they have over a certain amount in overages, not THREE WEEKS LATER. I have offered to provide screenshots of my location and lack of text message as well as asked them to listen to prior conversations and they refuse. Why are these calls recorded then? I have been fully transparent with them and they refuse to work with me on anything or accept any screenshots that I have to prove this. Not once, did I receive an apology for them dropping the ball. Not once. Telus is lacking communication, transparency, and customer care.Telus

I have had nothing but excellent customer service from ********************** over the past several years. Any issue's I have are always met with impressive results but that's not what I appreciate most about this company. I have engaged with numerous customer services representatives, their level of personability that makes me feel so secure that issues I am having, will receive attention in the quickest response time. Beyond the friendly, helpful people I speak with on the phone or engage with in person in stores, I often look at the Telus website and read upon their "we give back/community." ************ has its charitable hand reached out into so many helping ways. Yes, they are a big business, in it to make money like all successful businesses do - but its their give back and extensive community support that gains my loyalty and support.Telus thank you for the level at which you strive to help me and the communities around me.Telus

Got Telus internet and cable. They didnt set it up and they expect us to just figure it out. Its been almost two weeks since the order was taken and while we have the internet we still dont have cable. And we are paying for it. This and they ****Telus

I have read many of the reviews and they all mirror my situation. This is by far the most dysfunctional company I have ever had the misfortune of having had to deal with in my entire life. My anger is pointed at the federal government for allowing this con game amongst providers. I have the choice of TWO providers in my area, bad & worse, how ********!Telus

I purchased an internet plan for my business from Telus Business. Their technician came and disconnected my **** modem and installed Telus modem, without connecting my devices and my POS to the internet. The technician said it is not my responsibility to do it !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had no internet for two days and lost many customers as I could not sell anything because my POS was not working. I contacted Telus several times but they told me they don't have any tech available to dispatch and fix the problem !!!!! Now I requested to cancel my service while it has not been started yet. I don't recommend even to think about switching to Telus. It is wasting time and losing money.Telus

1 starTheir support model is a disaster. Can't call anyone directly. If you try, it instantly hangs up and says go online to talk to the bot. Then you have to go online and request a callback (hopefully youre not trying to call because you have no data, otherwise you will never ever get help). Also, ****** has the number they call from marked as spam, so it automatically blocks the call from coming through 95% of the time.However, I finally got a call to come through, was just trying to get basic info about my plan as things don't seem to be working correctly (got it 2 days ago). They said I have absolutely no access to my account and I won't get any info on it. They told me I'd have to go to the police station and have the police waste a significant amount of their time getting any info on the account because this phone was set up by the victim services department of the police station. They also listed a department as the account owner, not a person.. so literally nobody ever will be able to call in about it.Every other phone company out there has the necessary programs intact for this kind of thing so the victim of violent crimes can still talk about their OWN account with the provider, but not Telus. Telus prefers to make everything as difficult as humanly possible for all their customers.Once this initial 30 day plan is expired, I won't be renewing. I'll be going to a provider that doesn't make me want to rip out all my hair just trying to get support.Review fromTheresa M

Last October, 2022 Telus installed their ********* in yard digging a 68 foot trench. This trench sits in the middle of my access to the backyard. When they returned in May 2023 for restoration work they left a big mess with a raised hump for 68 feet affecting my grading and also a safety issue for this senior. Have tried three times to get this issue resolved to no avail. With no way to reach the appropriate department, they have effectively isolated everyone who has a complaint. Not a good business model. This company will never get my business again.Telus
