Zero Stars - Avoid Telus Home Security Terrible ************************** We installed a ********************** home security system in late 2022 after switching from ADT. From the start, it was a disaster. Our smoke alarm triggered three false alarms within weeks, including one that dispatched the fire department. Telus sent multiple technicians, but their fixes didnt workat one point, a tech literally left the smoke detector loose on a shelf as a *********** July 2023, the entire system shut down and never turned back on. We had no security while traveling and decided to cancel. Telus acknowledged they had given us an inferior product (designed for former *** customers) but still refused to let us out of the contract. When I called to cancel in September, they pressured me to keep troubleshooting. Now, instead of taking accountability, theyve sent the contract balance to collections.If you're considering Telus for home security, dont. Their product is unreliable, their service is incompetent, and they wont stand behind their own system. Now I'm left dealing with various collections companies, and trying to explain the entries on my credit rating to my bank while renewing my mortgage. Bringing this to my lawyers shortly.Telus

3 starsI recently switched by cell service to Telus.While the reception and data is great, I was not able to retrieve any credit money for leaving ****** that came up to almost $300.I addition, I spent 3 hour and 15 min on the phone trying to resolve an issue of needing to cancel the internet and security system they installed as TELUS does not provide a land line service in ******* with International calls to Europe so getting those 2 only and a separate landline from **** is too expensive.Representatives did not take notes and had to re-explain the situation each time, all the while waiting on hold in between. It is unbelievable that this is the customer service ********************** provides, with one of the highest cost rates for communications that Canadians pay as compared to the rest of the world. They also failed to let me know that I need to call ***** to cancel the internet installation on my second property as I noticed a credit card charge. Luckily I was able to schedule an online callback with ***** where the representative started the case. I was also scheduled a callback from ******** that resolved my issue within 10min, with full reference to the original notes and a truly professional customer service.Review fromLeanne C

After 15 years of flawless mobile and smartwatch service, Telus has truly outdone themselves. Today's smart home security installation was exceptional. The technician was friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful, making the entire process seamless. I now have complete peace of mind, knowing my home is secure. The long-term plan makes it surprisingly affordable. Five stars all around I only wish I'd done this sooner! Thank you, Telus, for the best customer service experience I've ever had. If I could I would give zero stars. Never use Telus. Scheduled a move with them in Early February for March 8th! They turned off our Internet on March 6th unexpectly and then did not show up for the scheduled move in appointment on March 8th! My wife runs a business out of the house and has been down with no internet since. After 14hrs of being on the phone they rescheduled the appointment to March 13th and did not show up again. We are still with no services and no resolution from them!! We will be seeking business disruption compensation and other expenses we have incurred waiting for them. I even took a day off today because they said between 8-5 someone would be here and no such luck!!!Telus

Do not choose Telus for your small business for alarm equipment. Paid $4200 for a system, installed. within 8 months the receiver died. Then now being charged an additional $1700 to repair it. Been sent to 4 different department, was told only can email for this issues. Of course no reply at all. Finally talked to someone and boy was he rude!Telus

I had a terrible experience with Telus and their customer service. Two years ago, I spoke with Telus before switching to Bell, but at no point was I informed that I needed to return my phone before porting my number. When I made the switch, my Telus account was automatically closed.I went to a Telus store to return the phone, but they told me they couldnt take the device since my account was already closed. Instead, I was instructed to call Telus for further steps. When I called, I was told to visit a corporate Telus store to return the phone, and in exchange, I would receive gift cards to help pay off the outstanding balance.I followed their instructions, went to the corporate store with my brother as a witness, and even called Telus while I was there to confirm what I was doing. The store employee took my phone to the back but refused to provide any proof of the return, saying they didnt have such a system.Two weeks later, I followed up with Telus, only to be told to contact phone collections. I reached out multiple times with no response. Three months later, I started receiving calls from collection agencies claiming I owed money for the phone I had just returned!Since then, I have been constantly calling Telus, asking for a solution, but every time, Im met with the same response: "Sorry, we cant help." They refuse to take any responsibility or provide any assistance in resolving this situation. When I asked if they could track the phone using the **** number, they said it wasnt possible.Telus completely washed their hands of my situation, leaving me to deal with constant harassment from creditors. No matter how many times I explain the situation, the collection agencies refuse to listen. Telus' lack of accountability and customer service has been beyond frustrating.If you're thinking about using Telus, proceed with caution. My experience has shown that when you truly need help, they dont care about their customers.Telus

Do not choose Telus for your small business needs. They have deleted my husband's business email account, just straight up deleted it and he has been on the phone for 10 hours over the last few days. The representatives will say anything to get up off the line, except fixing the problem! Do no chose Telus for your small business unless you want to be stressed outTelus

I cancelled with Telus 2 months ago. They shut down my account and I couldn't access it. Then send an email today saying We're sorry to see you go . Here is a huge bill if you don't pay in a week you go to collections. I haven't heard a peep or wasn't able to get anywhere with them to see how much I owed or anything. Not even a phone call! Until today I didn't exist to them. It hasn't even been 90 days. This was just the latest issue. I have never had such horrid service with a company. Between service, availability, pricing and customer help ********************** gets a negative *****. Absolutely appalling company. If I could report them of some sorts I would. I highly recommend you do not use their services. You would have better luck with a rotary phone.Telus

TELUS JUST KEEPS PUT UP THEIR COSTS. I HAD TELUS 50 THEN NO LONGER AVAILABLE. SO I WAS FORCED **** TELUS 75 NOW NO LONGER AVAILABLE. THEY ARE FORCING ME ONTO TELUS 250. TELUS 250 IS CHEAPER IN RED DEER THAN ***********. I HAVE BEEN WITH TELUS FOR 40 YEARS. I HAVE TELUS INTERNET, KOODO PHONE AND HOME SECURITY. I CAN GET INTERNET 75 FROM A RESELLER FOR $49 WHICH IS A A LOT CHEAPER. TELUS SEEMS TO DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO LOOSE CUSTOMERS.Telus

1 starthe customer service is a joke. I switched from telus to ****** at the end of telus contract because of so many reception and call quality issues. i was on a return your phone plan. when i called telus the day after i switched to return my phone, they said they cannot issue a return label because the account is not considered closed (i chacked with other providers and they all give you a min of 14 days to return the phone. after spending so much time on hold multiple times and talking to **** and managers (calls would disconnect and they never called back, so had to go through it all again) after all of that they just told me that their system does not allow them to take the phone back and i have to pay for the phone. because this took a while to get to this point, they also reported a late payment to my credit bureau. i finally talked to a manager and came to an agreemnt that i pay for the phone and they'll take the late payment off of my credit bureau. i paid for the phone but they are now refusing to take the late payment off. this company takes advantage of people and no one takes responsibility. I will be going through **** to address this issue. if anyone else has problems with them should do the same. *********************************************************************************
