I purchased a package of training courses from The Knowledge Academy online. When given access to the materials, the courses are utter garbage. Nothing of value so I immediately requested a refund. I've spent over a week going around in circles with them constantly requesting a refund while they keep ignoring me and trying to enroll me in their classes. They also refuse to escalate me to managers of any kind.Business Response

I am posting this complaint here to attempt to receive the refund which ** has agreed to pay me yet continue to withhold. I am also posting this complaint to warn others about the unethical and fraudulent practices of this company. While there are several complains here made to the Better Business Bureau which highlight the dishonesty in how they advertise their products, my experience highlights the dishonesty with which they treat their customers. After negotiating a price for an exam + course bundle I paid in full and requested the exam voucher. After numerous requests for the exam voucher they informed me that they were demanding more money and would not release the exam voucher unless I agreed to give them an additional payment. I refused to offer them a second payment and after countless emails, phone calls and customer service tickets they eventually offered a refund to avoid legal action. On July 10 they informed me that the refund already being processed. After this message they effectively cut off communication and the only way to get an email response after that point was to raise a customer service ticket. While their website includes phone numbers with area codes from across *****************, most of these phone numbers do not work.On August 1, (22 days after the refund was acknowledged) I eventually got a response that it will take up to 21 days for the refund to be processed. On August 10, (29 days after the refund was acknowledged) I elicited a response that the refund would be issued within 10 business days by August 24.As of August 30 (51 days after the refund was acknowledged) I have still not received any truthful indication from this company that the refund will be paid.Initial Complaint

Hi, my name is ****** and I must say that The Knowledge Academy is a shady educational services provider.Prior to indicating my interest in swinging up for an Amazon AWS training course with TKA, I was bombarded with a plethora of calls even at odds times of the day. The contact kept hinting that price of the course would increase after a certain time window, so I figured I would enroll because I needed the certification. After, I registered a couple days later I got a new job which required I take a couple of trainings and to complete them in record time. Coupled, with my academic workload because I was going to be graduating that same period, I decided to put hold to TKA course.Since then, I have sent more than 5 emails, and raised numerous tickets requesting the cancelation of the subscription. After, refusing to reply my messages I finally get a response saying that my request for cancelation was denied which got me upset and really ******. I do not want any trouble and hence requesting that my subscription be canceled because I am no longer interested in having any business with TKA.Initial Complaint

I took a SharePoint Masterclass from The Knowledge Academy on 8/11/2023. The description of the class was not at all what was taught. After wasing 1.5 hours talking and giving us background information, one of the other students spoke up and said I thought we would be learning to navigate, edit and use SharePoint not taking a history class. The instructor read to us from PowerPoint slides and repeated himself constantly. At the end of every slide he would go around and name each person one by one and ask us to give the thumbs up emoji if it was ok for him to move on. There was one person in the class who was behind everyone else so he catered to that one person the entire time going over the same thing 2 and 3 times and having that person share his screen and walking him through. I paid $950 to watch someone else learn at the pace of a snail while I learned absolutely nothing. I have not received the certificate or link to the recording of this class as I was promised or the instructors contact information for any future questions. I have requested a refund through email because none of the phone numbers work. I have yet to get a response.Initial Complaint

They refuse to five me a refund despite their website saying you can request a refund simply by raising a ticket. I do not recommend them at all their agents are ridiculous and obviously make commission as they are pushy and responsive for new customers nut radio silent during the refund process. Their "customer service agent" ignored me asking for a simple cancellation then stated their policy is only if they do not deliver the promised results... Their learning platform looks like it was made by a toddler and the website it intentionally unhelpful.Customer Answer

I purchased an ISO course from The Knowledge Academy. They were absolutely relentless when I was on the fence about my purchase, emailing, phoning and texting me daily from Feb 9, 2023 to Feb 28, 2023. They told me I needed to put a deposit on the course, as the price would increase beyond this date.On Feb 28 I paid $300.58 (Invoice #*********) and on March 10 I paid an additional $550.31 (Invoice #*********). When I accessed the course on Mar 10 I was shocked! It was riddled with grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, incoherent sentences, sentences that repeat, and false information. This is a HUGE issue for a regulatory course such as ISO.I wrote them immediately on March 10 requesting a refund as per THEIR terms and conditions. The business continues to ignore my requests and emails. ***** *****, my sales rep has disappeared altogether as well. I doubt this business even exists at this point.I have since resorted to following up with my credit card company, as I have been left with no other recourse.Initial Complaint

I placed the order for the ***** ****** Certification of $500 11/23/2022 the lady I spoke with by the name of ***** was very pushy and aggressive for me to place the order for the certification course. After me clearly stating that I was not ready to go forth with the order and would get back with them. The order was placed and I immediately tried to cancel I spoke to customer support who initially told me it would take about 24hours for them to get the concern over to their team RED FLAG. it ended up being a whole run around no one completing my cancellation. From the one person in communication through email and spoke with had something different to say and were outside of what their policy stated online in terms of cancellation by the customer. Each time I called I would either get no answer or rushed off the phone. I really regret doing business with this company I have two degrees and have never experienced a horrible experience to withdraw from a course. Business must be really bad to have to lie and lock potential customers in. I have yet to receive the help needed to just cancel the course. The company falsely advertised that they are accredited on their website but from one of their employees saying that I cant cancel because they never said that they were accredited in the certification course that I registered for. This company has no integrity and I dont recommend anyone doing business with them. I am still looking to get my purchase cancelled and would greatly appreciate if some could help me.Business Response

We accredit this qualification as advised on our website and we are a legitimate accrediting body for this qualification as is any other course provider.
Given the circumstances we are happy to refund the order for the delegate. This may take up to 20 working days but I will try to expedite the process.Initial Complaint

I can give negative stars if they had that option. They gave me fake promises about the training *** **** **. Even though they have a return policy on their website, I have been trying to get my money back since I enrolled, made more than 50 calls, and contacted many people but they did not help me. I also contacted the senior person from management regarding my issue and he said they can not refund my money even though it is their fault. I have put in the ticket(#**********) for the refund, but no response. I submitted C$1598.10 on 30th November 2022. They promised me that I am going to get one-on-one assistance from the instructor doesn't even matter how long that call last. They also promised to provide software to get hands-on experience of software but when I opened the training there were no instructions for how to install the software. In addition to this, they didn't even mention the timings of the training sessions. The only reason to join the course was my new job and that is why I paid the amount right away so I can get the training done before 19th December 2022.Business Response

Good Day, I will detail as much as possible the grievance I have with the Knowledge Academy. As part of my position with the ************** ****** ******l I was allocated a certain amount for job-related training. I was contacted by a customer service agent, Chris J****, on July 14, 2022, who was very responsive initially who tried to sell me a whole training package. I was able to negotiate just the excel training but explained in an email that I needed a specific and extremely current software platform, namely ********* ***** 365. After assuring me I had my place of business issue a purchase order in the amount of $495. When I gained access to the class, which was a pre-recorded lecture, I quickly realised the information was not relevant to ********* 365 and was several years out of date as they were using a program from 2018. I immediately got in contact with customer service via email (as they have no local number) and requested a refund. This began a frustrating months long correspondence as they sent me a cut-and-paste response that I needed to speak to a tutor. At this point I was forwarded to Ritika K****** who was trying to set me up with Damini K******. I was happy to do so but as they were on BST and I was on PST they could not seem to coordinate and left me waiting on zoom and Teams no less than 5 times, wasting valuable company time. Each of these times I became increasingly frustrated and exchanged at least 8 or 9 emails requesting a full refund. Sept. 20th who set up a zoom with me. He assured me that the issue would be remedied with a private tutor and that we would set up a time to do so. The last correspondence I received was on Sept. 23rd by email stating that he would have "time early next week". At which point I emailed several times and have had no response. I tried to resolve this issue from the first day that I signed on the learning module and requested refunds numerous times. I have about 30 emails back and forth.Business Response
