TransUnion (Canada) is a ********* misleading company. They claimed that they were using credit card information for "verification purposes only" however they charged for a lack-luster service. There was no confirmation of purchase, and only in the fine print do you see that they will charge you.

I was told I had to contact them by phone and sort the discrepancy in my info when trying to open a bank account online. The call centre person said I had to create an account but not to worry, it was free. By the time I was done looking at my info I was charged 28.96$ but had no idea I was paying for anything. Someone should do something about that!

This is an absolute horrific business I'd tyats what I can even call it. **** ********** ******* ** its dysfunctional system, extremely poor communication and difficulty in simple tasks like updating information etc. I'm left here 3 days in of beig tossed around to several agents, phone numbers live chats just to update my birthday info because it was entered incorrectly and it's proving to be the worst experience. I've now been charged 30 bucks to create an account that I can't even access ! Then I have to dispute that and dispute my verification and Still I get no where. They want me to mail in my I.d info , ok .. fine but why so difficult and in thos day in age after I personally was verified by 2 agents can I not just access my info ? Or email in my I.d proof. Transunion needs a major overhaul if they're being trusted with Canadians credit reports! This is actually very scary we are forced to entrust them. Something is very wrong :(

Hi, I paid $5.20 CAD for my credit score, then I wasn't able to log in. Then they refunded me the money and will only sign me up for $24.95 now. I called and was transfered 4 times. Called back and the call was disconnected. It seems now they are not offereing the original price to me. **** ******* ***** **** ****** ** **** *** **** *** ***** ** *** *** *** ***** *******. **** ***** ** ** ********** ********* **** * ****** ****** ***** *** *** ** *** ******* *********** ** ******* **** **** ******** ****** ***** ** ******* T.U. charged my credit card WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION!!! All I wanted to do is put a fraud alert on my file...and what happens? I get a ********** charge from TransUnion itself! I was told by their agent I can not put a fraud alert on my credit account over the phone, I HAVE TO sign up as a member on their website (ocs.transunion.ca) and login then I can manually put a Fraud Alert on my account. So I did this and put a fraud alert on my file. Then I clicked on Consumer Disclosure report to see my FREE Consumer Disclosure from there. But then there is a COMPLETELY MISLEADING button at the bottom of the screen that says VIEW YOUR CREDIT SCORE and in VERY FINE print below it says the credit score is free in Quebec...that's it. Again no mention of me paying for it or a $ amount, and I was never asked for my cc#. So I click on "view my credit score". Nothing happened. It didn't work. BUT 5 minutes later my bank emails me with an alert that TransUnion charged my cc $26.50! Then after 50 minutes on the phone Transunion Supervisor "Choy" hung up on me without cancelling this "monthly paid subscription"(I never signed up for)! He told me I would receive a CONFIRMATION OF CANCELLATION email. I received nothing. He stopped responding to me on the phone (10mins), stayed silent til I hung up. This is so it's tracked as me hanging up and not him. TransUnion is exploiting our private credit card information FOR PROFIT. It's a DISGUSTING breach of trust. They forced me to sign in so I could put a fraud alert on my file...they said "they can't do it over the phone". Then when THEY ***** money from my account for a $26.50/month subscription I NEVER agreed to, there is NO option for me to cancel this SUBSCRIPTION MYSELF online. Worse yet I'm reading online that even if I cancel my credit card they still have access to the next one.

    Horrible service.
    Kept on hold for hours.
    Passed onto multiple agents.
    Unable to resolve any issues.
Tried to open account. Continuously locked out. Finally accessed tech support. Agent blamed my computer. Tried recommended solution on **** without success.
Just requested to post a personal fraud alert. Unable to get to site. I was passed thru 5 agents with no resolution.
All agents were professional and tried to help but were unable.
There seems to be a huge systems flaw.

I signed up for Credit Report Monitoring and was overcharged 3 times for the same amount when signing up. The email I received at the time claimed they were having "technical difficulties." I reached out to get refunded. I was hung up on twice via telephone, completely disregarded via online chat, and even reached out via Social Media where they just berated me. I provided proof via my credit card statement of the overcharges, in addition to the "technical difficulty" emails sent by TransUnion, and they still refused to refund me.

Absolutely worst customer service. I got locked out of my account. Had to spend a hour on the phone with someone could not speak English well. Asked me an overwhelming amount of questions for a simple password reset. After all that, I was instructed to call back in 3 to 5 days to try again. I can’t believe that this is a safe way to communicate all of personal information to someone in an other country and with still no resolution.
