Canada post keeps ramming junk mail in my mailbox and they are damaging my actual mail.I have called them 4 times to stop putting junk in my box but they wont listen, they are acting like thugs.I sometimes get precious mail like post cards from family around the world and they are damaging them by ramming junk mail in my box, these are non-replaceable items There is a notice on the box that says no junk mail and I requested 4 times that they stop, they say they will stop but they don't. It makes me really angry, repeatedly I dont want ANY mail from Canada post period, I want OUT of their system, but they wont have that.Business Response

On January 20, 2025 I mailed a registered letter at the Canada Post located at ****** grocery store ****************************************************************************************, to a person in *************************** postal code.I did this to ensure that my tenant received her refund of her security deposit in a timely manner, and that Canada Post would not lose this letter or misdirect it to an incorrect address and that cost me $15.32.A photograph of the envelope is attached to this complaint and is clearly addressed to a PO Box in ******************** postal code T0H 2Y0. This morning I decided to check the Canada Post website to see if this individual had received her refund yet and discovered that incredibly Canada the Post had delivered this registered letter to **********************, and NOT ********************************** is probably 400 km away from ************ so this is not a matter of it being delivered somewhere near, or close by the correct address by error. This is a glaring example of the unbelievable incompetence and sloppy service provided by Canada Post Canada post cannot even deliver a registered letter to the correct town it has been addressed to - much less to the correct PO Box.Because of this completely unacceptable delay in delivery, and because I had to take my time to spend 15 minutes on the telephone with a Canada Post representative to try to get this matter corrected I expect my money to be refunded for paying for a service that clearly was not provided. The service ticket I was given this morning by a can of the post representative who attempted to correct this matter is *********.I trust this matter will be dealt with fairly, and my money will be refunded promptly.Thank you, **** *******.Business Response

I paid extra for a Canada Post Express delivery. My package was supposed to be delivered on january 20th to my door. Instead, it was delivered to a pickup point and has since been there and that is a problem already, but the biggest red flag is that they will not tell me where the pickup point is. I tried contacting them via the *****; online chat and in person - none of these options gave me a clear directive and they all told me different things. I just want to pick up my package.Business Response

On or about January 11, 2025 (Saturday), I posted an item with Canada Post Corporation at **************, **. I specifically asked the difference between paying for regular or ********** services. I was advised by the worker, *********, that the only difference was a one day quicker delivery, however, the package would be delivered by Wednesday, Thursday at the latest with regular post. I obtained regular post. The package was to be shipped 7 hours away. No ferry or plane required. The item is still not delivered. The tracking says for extreme weather conditions, which is an arbitrary description Canada Post throws around every time is unable to meet its deadlines. I spoke with a Senior Compliant Resolutions Officer at Canada Post, they agreed it strange to have the item not delivered within the same province. To simply be unable to move a package 7 hours away within 5 business days is beyond comprehension. Theyre hiding behind a blanket extreme weather, to which there was none. Both sender and receiver live in the same province. No extreme weather occurred. Canada Post is hiding behind utter disregard for it customers and simple do not care. The agents in the contact centre provide service standards for resolutions that are out to lunch. They cannot meet their own service standards for delivery and have to make up excuses that as easily disproven for their sheer lack of incompetence. I am requesting my money back for this service. The service isnt worth 5 cents, let alone $50.00.Business Response

Canada Post delivered my package to my building on December 24 and left it in an unsecured location in the lobby. I was at home all day and the mail carrier did not come to my door or buzz me on the ******** to advise of the delivery. Because the mail carrier had just dumped my package in a public area, it was stolen. If the mail carrier is to lazy to come to my door at least buzz my apartment number so that I can come down and pickup my package. Further if they couldnt be bothered buzzing me or coming to my door why wasnt a notice card left in my mail box? My package should not have been left without notification to me. Its is well known that parcels are often stolen so this is unacceptable service by Canada Post and shows that Canada Post does not care at all about their customers. I would like a refund and an explanation as to why I was not notified of this delivery when the mail carrier was in my building.Business Response

However CanadaPost saying it was and I signed for it.Follow up I asked for a copy of the signature and was told the person who signed requesting the signature by private. Canada Post not following up saying take it up with Koodo Koodo saying its a CanadaPost issue or file a police report. I have clarified this was supposed to be a secure signature required delivery. Thank you for the feedback on your expected parcel from *****,we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. Unfortunately for any claims for loss as per the Canada Post Terms and Conditions the sender would be the one to file the claim, in addition they would be required to submit the documentation regarding the proof of mailing and proof of value of the item. This is required to complete the claims process. At this time no claim has been opened by the sender for this missing item.

Un accceptable
I am resgned to the fact Canada Post cost failed me. That they did not deliver my package and only gave me the run around
repeatedly with the last communications simply skirting their failure to hand me my package and receive my signature as they are required to do.
They cost me $1150 as they reported back to Koodo they did receive a signature. Which is false. they admit it was signed for by their mail carrier
and left in the community box. Not true. How they can steal a package lie about delivery and close a complaint as resolved is un acceptable.
I am fine at this point that is was a very costly ****** for me in trusting Canada Post and It unlikely I will have them resolve this.
What I can not accept is this case being labelled as resolved. Go ahead and close it but if someone goes looking for BBB complaints on a company
It must show that the complaint was NOT resolved. Else what is the purpose of the BBB?

We are truly sorry for the inconvenience the labour disruption is having. Unfortunately, Canada Post is unable to retrieve items during a labour disruption.
Customers will experience delays due to the strike activity. Mail and parcels will not be processed nor delivered for the duration of the national strike and some post offices will be closed. Service guarantees will be impacted for items already in the postal network. All mail and parcels in the postal network are secured and will be delivered as quickly as possible on a first-in, first-out basis once operations resume. However, a national strike of any length will impact service to Canadians well after the strike activity ends. Shutting down facilities across the country will affect Canada Post's entire national network. Processing and delivery may take some time to fully return to normal.

I shipped a parcel on November 13, addressed to:WELLWISE BY SHOPPERS 8438, ************************************************************************************************** However, the parcel has yet to be returned to the receiver and remains in transit with no updates on when it will be delivered. I understand that the ongoing strike within Canada Post may be contributing to this delay.Unfortunately, this delay has caused my refund of $574.99 to be held up, as the merchant has refused to process it until the item is returned to thema matter beyond my control.I kindly request your assistance in resolving this issue. Please either ask Canada post to prioritize the return of the parcel to the recipient or request them refunding me directly for the amount of $574.99, as the item remains with them.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: Why should I be concerned with your internal business operations? All I want is to receive either a refund from the supplierwho can't process it because they haven't received the package yetor for you to compensate me now. You can later deliver the package to the supplier and recover the amount from them. Its unreasonable for me to bear the consequences of your strike.

Due to the ongoing Canada Post strike that began November 15, numerous foreign nationals and Canadians are unable to receive critical legal documents, including passports with approved **** work visas. Like others affected, I am stranded and suffering significant financial and career consequences. The strike has trapped essential documents in Canada Post facilities, with no option for direct pickup. Despite having approved visas, professionals like myself are accruing substantial costs for extended stays while still maintaining **** expenses, and risking our jobs due to prolonged absence. The **** Consulate in ********* acknowledges the issue but offers no alternative delivery solutions, leaving us in limbo indefinitely. While Canada Post claims to be negotiating with the union, there has been no meaningful progress visible to affected customers. It's concerning that while pension and retirement cheques are designated as "essential" for delivery during the strike, passports and other legal IDs are not given the same priority. I demand that Canada Post immediately classify passports as essential documents for delivery and refund all mailing fees collected for these trapped documents. The **** Consulate in ********* acknowledges the issue but offers no alternative delivery solutions, leaving us in limbo indefinitely.Business Response
