I am receiving phone calls several times a day in the morning while I’m at work and that evening and it doesn’t stop. These calls are even back to back after they've just called. I’ve tried to block their number but they use different numbers. They claim I owe on a debt that is over 10 years old! I have nothing on my credit report. My next course of action will be legal if this continues. Cease all communications!Business Response

On July 7th 2022, PRA Group Canada contacted me to say they owed me 132 dollars. Would not tell me why or how they owed this money. Nearly 2 months later, still waiting for a cheque despite numerous calls and requests. They keep telling me they've mailed the cheque, etc., always an excuse. They would not allow this kind of delay if I owed them money. I am requesting PRA Group Canada President contacts me, apologizes for operating their business in such a manner and issue the cheque without delay. I am also insisting PRA Group pays me any interest owing that they would charge if the situation was reversed.Business Response

PRA has a collection on my credit report, the account # is ****** for ticket # ******* , this collection was sent to PRA by mistake, i have been trying to get this resolved for quite some time. it is affecting my credit and has taken up considerable time . Easyhome for a year has told me the account was sent to collection by mistake as my account was fully paid prior to this mistake. they said they were or had purchased the account back from PRA . i spoke to PRA many times and in fact obtained a letter from easy home stating it was a mistake and should never have gone to collections. I forwarded this letter to transunion, equifax and to a supervisor at PRA named Diane at [email protected] july 19th 2022. the credit bureaus have said that PRA has to be the one to remove this. PRA has contacted easy home and are well aware this is a mistake. It just keeps going around in circles.This mistake should be between easy home and PRA and removed from my credit reports completely ! The manager of the easy home store in Kenora Ontario where the account was can and is willing to corroborate this and PRA in fact has a letter from easy home confirming the mistake. please deal with this immediately as it is really affecting my life and no fault of mine! contact the manager of easy home at ************ , ******* ****.Business Response

We have confirmed the account was settled through **** **** and are currently waiting for them to transfer the funds to us so we can properly close the account. However, we will submit a request to have our collection line suppressed while we wait on those funds.

PRA group Canada has been making inquiries to my credit report on a monthly basis. They previously reported a collection item and that has fallen off my report months ago and is statue-barred. I emailed their company today August 10th advising them to cease inquiries into my credit file. I received a response from ***** *** *** ***** who refused to discuss until I provided him with more personal information- I declined. I have no business with this company and I want them to stop making inquires to my credit file. The most recent inquiry was August 3rd, 2022.Business Response

Your claim that PRA Group has unscrupulous business practices is false, inquiries into ones credit report could be done for one or more reasons, one of which being to try and find an updated phone number or address in order to communicate with you the personal business matter we hold. Verification is done to protect your privacy.
In light of your dispute, we have made a decision to close the file in question which will cease all inquiries into your credit file.

I feel extremely harrassed by PRA group Canada. I do not own the alleged debt they claim to be harressing me for. They are calling my cell phone up to 6 times a day and constantly making my voice mail full by leavinh upto 2 voice mails per day and making me miss important voicemails. Complete strangers to me from PRA group are trying to get me to share personal information with them. I find this creepy and it makes me very uncomfortable. I have saved pictures off all the calls and recorded all the voice mails. I am strongly considering legal action. I want this company to cease and detest all contact with me and not to harress other people about me. I want to be placed on their do not call list. They call from different numbers, I don't want any of their numbers calling me. I wish for zero contact with them. Have attached an example of the calls in the last 2 days alone.Business Response

This company is reporting a debt from 2014 on my credit report. They bought it off ********* and fraudulently added a 2019 payment to extend the legal length they could collect the debt.
Won’t provide proof of the payment or purchase of the debt. Told me I’m guilty until proven innocent. I was told they were hanging up on me when I asked for more information about my supposed own debt.
The only reason they can report it is because of “recovered funds “ reported June 2019. This single fraudulent payment that wasn’t even a customer payment allows them to report on my credit.
This credit account has never been reimported till July this year. Why would I have made a single payment since 2014 on an account not reporting then never again?
