      *** *** ****** ******* *** ********** ***** And now here is my ****** review as a person who drives and rents cars since 2011.
      **** *************
I recently had a disastrous experience with ROUTES Rental Car, *** * **** ********* ** ***** ** ******** ** **** ******* When booking through *******, I selected a midsize car (*******, *******, *****, *****, or similar) based on my needs and preferences. However, upon arriving at the rental location, I was offered the smallest compact sized car (****** *****), which was less suitable vehicle instead. When confronted to the lady at the counter about my concerns, I told her that the car I was given is a compact car and does not fit the criteria of a mid sized car, but she blatantly **** and was adamant that ****** ***** is a belonged to the same category. On ******* it clearly states ***** is a compact car, and not a midsize car (*******, *******, *****, *****, or similar) ********* *********. Anyone who drives a car or rents one *** *** * ******* **** ***** ***** knows that a compact car is not equal to a mid-sized car.
Moreover, there was an unexpected $1500 deposit (not pre authorization) for BC residents, compared to the $500 deposit for out-of-province residents, was deeply frustrating and revealed a discriminatory pricing policy. Additionally, the limitation of 200 kilometers for BC residents while granting unlimited kilometers to non-residents further underscored the 's unfair treatment. The *******’s page shows unlimited kms. This is a ***** rental car company.
The staff seemed indifferent to my concerns and offered no viable solutions to rectify the situation. Their dismissive attitude only added to my frustration and left a lasting negative impression. *** **** ****** * *** ** **** * *** **** ****** ****** *** ******** ********** * ****** ****** *** ***** ** *** ***** ****  Overall, my experience with ROUTES Rental Car was highly disappointing.

We rented a car from Atlanta *******. It looked like it had been in a demolition derby. It had a side panel missing off the side door, which made it extremely loud inside the car. They also withheld more money than they had originally said they hold 500 instead of 350 we were very unsatisfied will never rent from them again.

I made a reservation to rent a vehicle online with routes.com. These people charged me ****** for the reservation, which was supposedly 8 dollars a day plus ***** dollars from DCW. When I get to the offices to pick up the car they make me remove the ***** DCW. They don't accept my insurance. and they charged me ****** dcw plus a ****** dollar deposit that was supposedly refundable. From the deposit they charged me ****** and I don't understand why I only had the car for 4 days, I delivered it full of gas and clean. I still haven't seen the deposit in my account and it's been 6 days. I don't recommend them. Do not rent to these offices. customer service is horrible. so they don't waste your time and you don't have bad times.

      Houston airport.
$98 rental, then surprise $1000 security deposit, 30/day toll fee, $400 insurance waiver fee. My insurance covers rentals.
None of which was mentioned. Took 2 shuttles to find the rental counter. Then when I told them to cancel it because of all the fees I couldn't get my money back. **** ** ******* **** *** *******

** *** **** **** **** ****** *** ******* ******* ** ** * ***** I rented a car for my son from ********* he is over 25 with a valid GA driver's license. According to ********************** Car ********************** policy they accept all ** driver's license however when he got there they told him they don't accept GA driver's licenses due to issues they had before, which doesn't make sense to be in Atlanta ** but not accept GA driver's license. So my son was abandoned in *** for several hours until he decided to get a hotel and stay there until next day since at that time (11PM) you can't find any other cars.

We rented a ****** ******* (or similar) at Routes Rental Orlando, near MCO airport. We got a **** ******** instead. Upgrade, you might think. For us it was just too big, too fuel-consumming. We weren’t given any option of any smaller car. In fact, they don’t even own any smaller cars. Mostly SUV or trucks. They justified themselves saying we rented a corolla (OR SIMILAR), and the fact both have 5 seats was enough for them to think they are similar.
Keep in mind that all in all, when you add the car rent, the taxes, the insurances and the price for the sun pass (which was inevitable, they said, because the sun pass is already on the car…?), if you don’t go shopping around for better deals or options, what they will offer you at the desk adds up to about 425 US for 7 days of renting.. then add the gas. $$$

I only gave one star because you cant give zero. At the last minute, we decided to rent a car for a couple of days while visiting. The plan was to get the car and get something to eat afterwards. We thought the rate was too cheap to be true but also thought maybe they were just trying to make anything they could with a last minute booking. We waited for almost 45 minutes for a shuttle to arrive when they told us 15. We had landed at the airport at 10pm with our 4 young kids. When we got to the rental company, we noticed everyone else having issues with getting their car or being turned away and the red flags were raised. When it was our turn, the woman at the desk continued to add fees and fees not to our total. I laughed when she added another one, even after we had provided proof of insurance. She looked at me and said, I dont know whats so funny about this. Why are you laughing? You dont have to rent this car. I dont have to let you rent this car. She asked to see our round trip plane tickets and when she saw we wanted it for only a few days she told us we had to rent it for the whole time of our trip or not at all. We said never mind, well just get the shuttle back to the airport. At this point, it was 11:45pm and she smiles, looks at our four kids and says Were closed. We arent taking you back to the airport. My kids had not eaten in several hours since we had been flying and all started to cry. She pushed us outside to lock the door. At that point, my husband convinced the shuttle driver to take us back to the airport where we quickly and easily got a car from Dollar. The woman at Dollar said we were the third family that day who had come to them from the company. This was a horrible experience. Not only a bad review for the company, a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau, but what kind of a human does that to people? STAY FAR AWAY!
