      Hello My name is ******* ****. I rented a car with ******** ****, my Confirmation # was ********** with Routes Car Rental at Calgary, I picked my car on June 29th & returned it on July 10th. It was a **** ******. 1st issue we had a very long wait time to pick up our car as our car was NOT ready. We waited for about 40 minutes to get our car. It was approximately 7:45 pm.
      2nd issue, as soon as we left the rental place within 10 miles of driving we got a low Tire pressure sign on the dashboard & we were aware that they are probably close. They mentioned it to us as we were leaving. So we called them anyway to get some advice & we were asked to fill some air & we should be fine. We followed their advice & we were driving to Lake Louise for our trip & from there to Jasper, we continued to have issues with low Tire pressure signs & we didn't find any Routes agency in any of the locations so we took the car to an Auto mechanic & got the Tire fixed. They found a nail & did the repair. Upon our Car return we submitted our Tire repair Invoice & we also mentioned how problematic this whole thing was for us. We at least expect them to reimburse us for the repair expense. Instead even when they gave us O.K. that everything was good upon our car return then they emailed us with a Car damage claim. This was only because they didn't want to address our Invoice, a wrongful car damage claim was created. We made multiple attempts to talk to someone but No one has returned our calls.
      Extremely poor & dishonest customer Service.
      And now Routes car rental of Calgary is ********* us by sending us Phone calls & Letters from Collection Agency.

      NEVER USE THIS CAR RENTAL! The worse experience I have ever had! I had to pay them for car Insurance when I already have one of the best NJM, the girl behind the desk was so Nasty and instead of helping the situation, the owner just kept shouting I should have read the agreement! **** ***** ** * ********! I wasnt the only one, the other people in their were also complaining! ********* should NOT support this Business! Ruined my vacation!

      Do not do business with these companies. They use deceptive marketing to get people to rent from them. Also they have their office in the middle of nowhere, not in the rental center like other companies, so if you decide you don’t like their charges you’ll be stuck and your only option is to return to the airport and start all over. Do not rent from them but unfortunately they go by many names like **** * **** and maybe 5 other names. If it is not a company you recognize, don’t rent from them even if the price is super cheap.
      They charge hundreds of dollars extra claiming your insurance coverage isn’t enough, they require $500k in bodily injury and property damage and it must be active 45 days before you rent. They require $500k because no one on earth has that much coverage.

      This company is a scam and they ruined our vacation! We are out over 2000 dollars ! They will not answer the phone and the owners could care less.

      Montreal Branch:
      *******, out-of-province car, ****** deposit (yet to be returned) and impossible customer service. Only slightly more convenient than walking to where you're going. ******** ****** ** Hard to get to
      Even after having been there before, I was waiting for half an hour in the wrong place for the shuttle pick-up (I was waiting on the Arrivals level of the airport not Departures). Granted, that was totally MY bad, but after I called for the shuttle, I was told it was on it's way as they get there every 15 minutes. 45 minutes later the shuttle arrived...
      2) Need two pieces of ID, but don't accept Quebec health cards, despite a) being in Quebec, b) having the exact same name and photo as my driver's licence, c) ???. I had to send them a bank statement in order to confirm my name. No heads up that this was required.
      3) ****** deposit amount
      Once at the office, I was told that the deposit amount required was $1500, which is THREE TIMES the normal rate from other rental companies. Once again, zero heads up that this was a thing and it is sprung on you while you're in their office in the middle of nowhere.
      4) Refusal to RETURN said deposit amount
      I called five times and wrote 3 emails deposit on my company credit card. Received reply asking for the confirmation and rental number which had been included in both emails. ZERO response in the past week.
      5) Broke ass vehicle
      **** ****** showed up, driver's side floor mat torn up. Guy outside taking photos but didn't take photos of mat. Soon as I leave, a rattle starts for the whole journey. Emailed with photos and worrisome condition of the car, no response.
      6) Out of province (ie. Ontario) licence plates
      QUEBEC DRIVERS TAKE NOTE!!! You are not insured under out of province plates, meaning you need to purchase more insurance which is another big cost.
      7) Unlimited kms not available
      I had a big short trip and went over the kms, which cost me another $40. ***** *** ********* **** ********* *** **********

      Horrible service. ******** policies that are very misleading. They took my reservation for a truck rental and happily took my money. When I arrived they refused to provide the truck because I was considered "local" even though I had a round trip plane ticket at *** in my hand. Then after repeatedly being promised a refund they now are refusing because I pre-paid. **** ******* ** * ***** ** *** **** **** * ******

      I was excited to take a nice trip to Denver since I work so hard all year. ***** *** ****** *** *** ***** ** ** **** ****. The shuttle bus was over an hour wait, and when I called I was told the bus came by twice (***** *** * *** I was at the entrance for all vehicles). Then the insurance they state Is required, is actually not required *** * **** *** *****.
      The most bothering was when I picked up the vehicle, no photos of the fuel line were taken( yet everything else was) *** ********** *****? I discussed with employee about this exact line for fuel return, and when I returned the car a picture was taken (but they just skip the pick up fuel line photo) *** * **** ** ******.
      Then on top of all of this I was hung up on discussing this matter, and after calling back they ignored all 10 of my calls at the store!
      I would like to take further action, **** *** *** ** ******* ** **** ********* ** **** ***.

      We rented a car a few weeks prior to our trip on June 25th. I thought it was very weird that they had us pay in full up front. I have never had to do that, all car rentals put a hold on your card and it is paid in full upon the return of the car. ******** **** *** ******* we opted for cancellation insurance. Our flight was delayed and then ultimately canceled after 10 hours to "rescheduled for the next day. We called the number on our receipt ALL DAY Long to notify them that we would hopefully be arriving on the 26th now, never reached anyone nor heard back from them . Then on the next day our flights were delayed and we called a DOZEN more times. At 1st we were worried that if we got in late that we would not be able to pick up our car but we never were able to contact anyone. Then our flight was canceled again. When we realized that we were not going to get to Denver and had to cancel our whole trip we continued to call about the car so that we could cancel. We called the # but NEVER SPOKE with anyone nor heard back. We eventually found an email address and canceled again there too. We got an email reply saying that cancellation was confirmed but the cancellation fee would now be the entire amount of the weekly rental even though we left dozens of messages and paid for a cancellation insurance policy. Our credit card has now been charged and we have since canceled it. We refuse to pay full price for a car rental that we never even rented and will report this to BBB and everywhere we can. In all my many years of travel I have never seen any company charge full price for a canceled car rental. And they apparently do not have a Customer Service department. **** ******* ** * ***** *****

      ************! Flew half way across the country and needed a vehicle to rent. I am most comfortable driving a truck and it was a little cheaper. Paid through *********. Arrived several miles from the airport (via shuttle) to find out that “trucks” need to be insured under your provincial insurers. Which in my province the offices were closed. They wanted my package policy number. I said I have credit card insurance…apparently credit card insurance doesn’t cover trucks???? The counter person said “I can’t help you”. Well then I wanted a refund. “Ok, phone ********* and they will deal with you”. Really?? I’m stranded 3 provinces from home with no wheels and over $500 plus already taken off my credit card!! ** *** **** **** **** ********!!
