      Company misleading the customer. Said unlimited milage when i got ther they said its only 200km per day then additional 0.27 cent per km. I was also ask to give them $1500 damage desosite. I cancelled the rent since its not gonna work for us and i have no extra money to pay them but they wont give me refund.

      I had booked the car to be picked up on Aug 3rd at 10:45pm, just before closing which was at 11:00pm. I called Routes that evening at 10:30 pm once my flight landed so I could tell them to meet me at their pick up point for the shuttle to their office which is about 5 minute drive from the airport. But when I called nobody answered as they run the shuttle only when a customer calls them to be picked up. It was not my fault that they didn’t answer their phone as they had directed me to do the week before when I called them to get directions on how to arrange the shuttle. They had told me on the phone that the shuttle runs until 11 but they stop taking calls at 10:45pm. I had even gone to the pick up point and no shuttle was there, by the time I would have arranged a taxi to their office it would have been closed so me and my family had to take a $170 **** ride to our hotel which was one hour away. I came back in the morning to get my car from routes after paying another $170 **** ride, and they told me that because I didn’t pick up the car on the night that I was suppose to (even though it was their fault for not answering my multiple calls) that the booking was expired and the same rental would now cost me an extra $211. * ***** **** ** ******* ** ** *******, they knew I had to pick up the car and cheated me out of another $211 plus all my **** costs of $422.

      Very irresponsible and bad customer services.

      Arrive at 3:40 PM, Waiting time in line 15 minutes
      Call by attendance at 3:55 PM Show reservation ID and Credit card.
      Attendance make me waite for other attendance who, at 4;07, told me "The system cancel my reservation" the reservation expire at 3:54 Pm.
      Ask for a solution and she call the firts attendance who ofert only one solution. Hight value car.

      Horrible. I waited 25 ******* the shuttle and an hour and 15 min more to get my car. The woman in line in front of me went to her car and it had a flat tire. Pathetic!!!

      The vehicle we received was not in any shape to be rented (windowshield crack from driver to passenger side, jostling at high speed, delayed response to acceleration, air conditioning not functioning). I am waiting in the lobby as I write this to speak to a manager, while still on hold with customers service which is at 2 hours 5 minutes and counting. We had waited at the airport for over an hour for the shuttle to take us to the Routes office. My advice, ***** *** ***** ***** ** **** **** * ********* *** **** ******** *** save yourself the headache

      Worse experience ever!! I reserved 5 days car rental from Routes Fort Lauderdale, FL via Expedia and paid for it two months in advance from August 10 to August 15, 2023 and on August 10 my United Flight delayed two hours prior to a big storm and after too much hassle and taking a shuttle from the air port going to their location which located in no scene area found they canceled my reservation and tried to beg them to re initiated with no help and ended up wasting approx 90 min in their location with 7 luggage and my son in the rain and took an Uber to my destination because it was already 10 PM, I was so devastated and tired because I left my house in NY from noon on that day and no mercy from them getting me any help, what type of business is that or customer service?

      1) Paid $110.76 with ********* then was charged another $185.30 when I got there by Routes (5 day car rental)
      2) $500 HOLD on your credit card for any damage. The vehicle smelled like mildew, the fabric had several stains on all the seats, and the car clearly had not been cleaned well as there was food/grime in the vehicle. Multiple scratches on car too. Make sure to take lots of pictures of the initial state of the vehicle to cover your own butt. I had to point out a large scratch to the guy examining the car, which he claimed he already took a picture of, but then in front of me he took the picture.
      3) Show proof of liability coverage with your insurance if you don't accept/pay for their insurance coverage. If you get lucky and actually have one of the insurance carriers that they have on an approved list, then you don't have to pay extra fees, but if your carrier is not on that list than be prepared to pay 50% coverage of what it would be for their insurance. They must confirm your collision coverage too (you MUST present your insurance coverage contract) and sign a waiver.
      4) Forced into paying for a toll pass at $12.99/day and if you say you are not going to use any tolls, then you MUST sign a waiver stating you were not and if caught using one you would be fined by Routes. Was also told by 2 workers that there were toll booths sometimes staffed that would take cash. There are no toll stations on the Suncoast; license plate pictures are taken and you are billed through the mail. I had to pay for the toll pass or not take any tolls; those were my options. No option to take tolls and pay for them myself. The tolls cost around $1 each depending on how far you have to travel.
      5) On ********* website, this company states unlimited mileage, but at Routes this is not true on the car rental agreement and states that Florida drivers are limited to 50 miles per day.

      i had never used Routes Car Rental before and tried them at Denver International Airport. They did a great job. They were thorough and communicated well before i arrived. It was pretty seamless. Their prices were very fair and they made it painless to change my choice a few days later when i found a better rental deal with them. I had a **** ****** and the one they offered me had a windshield crack. They covered this issue well, sent me photos of it, and reassured me it would not be a problem at return. I'd give a special "shout-out" to Brittany. She explained things well, was extremely honest about my options, and was extraordinarily helpful. And she was very thorough on emailing me a dozen photos of my rental car with minor blemishes for my records. I told her how impressed my wife and I were with her. If I owned a small business, I would hire Brittany in a heartbeat! Thanks.
