I have no business with this company, but yet this collection agency kept calling me every single day using different numbers each time. After acknowledging they have got the wrong number, they apologized and promised not to call, but couple weeks after they called again every single day. This is not acceptable business practice. Do your research and make sure you are calling the right number. Stop ********* **.

Fell behind on a hydro payment, was sent through to MJR. Lack of communication is absurd!
**** ***** sent me an email indicating I owed a balance to ***** *** on June 3rd, 2025. I emailed him back, June 4th, stating that a payment would be made in full on June 11th and I would follow up with a confirmation email.
I did not receive a response back.
June 5th & 6th, I received calls from their office & the same automated email once again, with still no response from the original email, concerning payment being made.
I sent a follow up email June 6th, with no response.
June 10th, I received the same automated email & phone call. Called the office and asked them to stop calling me, which they gladly noted and apologized.
June 11th, payment was made in full and a email was promptly sent, with proof of payment. I requested an email back, to confirm he had received my email, my payment & to ensure my account would be closed.
I received no response yet again, regarding the PAYMENT I made that THEY had requested from me.
June 12th, I followed up with ****, to receive no response. I forwarded my email thread to customer service - not to my surprise, I didn’t receive a response yet again.
June 13th, I called the office AGAIN to ensure my payment was received. Customer service indicated that my payment had been received & my account has been closed.
Not one person followed up with me regarding my payment, nor to send me a receipt or anything of the sorts.

I was getting called from this agency for someone else’s hydro bill from a community I have never been to or visited in my entire life let alone ever lived in. Yet they call me because I have a similar name. They definitely do not look into who they are calling before ********* people who have nothing to do with the debt they are after.
Secondly why do I have to give them my date of birth to prove I am not who they are looking for? To me that’s an invasion of my privacy! If I keep getting these calls for someone who I am not, I will get my lawyer to send a letter to stop ********* ** and to seek the actual person who owes the dept. Furthermore, my phone number has zero connection to the person they are looking for, ** **** ****** **** ** ******* for this company to “assume” I am who they are looking for just because I have a similar name. They should be required by law to determine they are calling the correct person prior to doing so!MJR Capital Services Inc

Follow up. I found an account that describes a similar situation. On 10Dec2024, you spoke to one of our agents who asked you for a DOB to validate that we had the wrong party. When provided, she confirmed that she would remove your number, which she did. From what I can see in our notes, no further calls were made to you. I’m hoping these calls stop. For the last couple of months I received 10 to 20 calls per day looking for a person that does not live at this address. After loosing my cool on numerous occasions with calls from agents in British Columbia, New Brunswick, Ontario. Threatening a letter from my personal lawyer the calls stopped. Now today the calls have started again. I’ve had 3 calls from Saskatchewan this morning. * *** ****** *** **** ****** **** *** **** ***** ** **** ** ** ******* ** *** ***** ****** The next step I will be taking is going to the news stations along with suing you through my lawyer. Then I will have the privilege of giving you phone calls from a collection agency of my choice and have then ****** you at all hours of the day. In other words. Believe it or not sometimes people are telling you the truth when they state that the person you are looking for does not live here. Thank you for responding back. I'm receiving calls for an ****** ****** or ****** ******. I have no idea with whom she owes money too. As your collection agent won't give me that information until I let them know my name. I refuse to give you my name, as my concern is that you will change the calls to reflect my actual name. Probably at this point, it would be best if my Lawyer handles this concern as I can't trust your company to be honest with me. I have retained the services of a lawyer, that's a $1,000.00 retainer out of my pocket. So I will be coming after your company for legal fees and punitive damages.Review fromNick M

understand that receiving communications from us can be frustrating. However,
we only contact individuals if a credit grantor has assigned us an outstanding
account with your information. Upon assignment, we would have mailed a
collection notice with the debt details to the address we were given.
After the regulatory hold period expires, we then start calling. Our
dialers are programmed to only call within allowable call times for each time
zone in Canada. We are not calling at 12am EST. If you require

This business is calling and texting me numerous times despite me explaining to them that they have the wrong phone number of the person they are trying to reach. I get as many as 4 calls each day even though I keep blocking the numbers they are calling and texting me from. I called the utility company that they supposedly are calling me on behalf of and confirmed with them that they don’t even service my area! Neither they know who I am and that definitely I don’t have any account with them.
