**** ****** A sales rep came to my house and told me they were following up on a survey I never filled out, something to do with my utility rates. They looked at my bills and explained the price per kilowatt rate which I didn’t really understand. They kept saying someone was going to call me in 60 seconds which was more than enough time for me to ****** them and see all the complaints. Yet, I was tricked because the rep asked me to initial saying she had come to the house to follow up on the survey and that’s how they get you to sign up for the service. When their contact or whatever called, I said I didn’t want to continue with the account setup. I then called the company to cancel whatever service they had signed me up for and got a confirmation number but I’m still worried they lied about the cancellation and I’m on the hook for something I don’t want. These people need to grow a conscience!

SFE rep stated I would save on the price of gas. As it turned out, I was being charged double price. One charge from PGE and another from SFE. The **** is a misleading promise that your price for natural gas would be cheaper and price stabilized. That part was correct, however, they did NOT tell us that PGE would charge a delivery fee anyway so the price was effectively doubled.
They stated it cost $400.00 to cancel but never indicated that at initial contact.

SFE is overcharging and providing false information to businesses. I asked to see the actual document my husband signed and was sent a copy with editable fields that could easily be changed. We were never given a copy of the original agreement. We are paying almost double the rate of ****. We were given misleading and inaccurate information and tricked into thinking we would be getting a better rate than **** but have been overpaying for almost 2 years. They are now trying to collect an exorbitant fee to cancel the contract. They are trying to intimidate us into paying for a cancellation fee for a contract that is questionable.

An SFE Rep came and misled an account holder. Got them to sign a 5 year agreement as the resident gas provider. Calling next day to cancel agreement, which we have 3 business days to cancel. However, offices are closed and no email response has been received. Need help contacting the business to cancel and resolve this issue.

Yesterday a contracted representative for SFE California (SFE Energy) came to my home and ignored my "No Soliciting" sign. They made it sound like they should have been expected and that **** was supportive, not that they represented ***** This was supposedly a legal offer made possible in California to save consumers money. Even after pointing out my "No Soliciting" sign they continued as though it didn't apply to them as they were there to help consumers. In retrospect it was clearly solicitation.
If that were not bad enough, they were deceptive. When asked if there was a contact involved, they said that you can cancel at any time. While that is true, it is a 5-year contract with a $7.50 plus taxes per remaining month cancellation fee. If you don't cancel before the contract goes into effect and it is still early in the contract, it is a large fee, more than $400.00 in the first six months. The cancellation fee was never mentioned and yes, that was definitely the type of contract that I was concerned about and asked about. My question was not actually answered.

Back in December 2014 I started to receive supply services from SFE Energy PA in which the sales representative offered a "good deal" for my electricity which involved a fixed rate for 2 months at $8.79 cents per kwh and then 34 months at $9.59 cents per kwh failing to mention that those prices where already higher than the utility kwh price of $7.743 cents per kwh. Be aware these suppliers often make it sound like your bill will be lower... I noticed my bill was high and decided to call the utility but instead reached the supplier which acknowledged they are charging me $18.19 cents since 2020 at 61% more than the actual PPL rate as of May 2024. (Still printing bills and none was lower)
Furthermore when I called to cancel they said the timeframe for the cancellation to be processed takes 1-2 billing cycles because the cancelation depends on PPL and not them (seems like they don't tell PPL for another 2 months to continue to charge more) and when I had called PPL the utility confirmed the supplier will be out of my bill as of May 28, 2024 per my request (only 5 days).
They are ******* customers off with higher rates, what is the point of having them available to supply electricity if the bills will only go higher?

A few months ago they came and offered me a great deal, which said that if we paid 50 a month and that was owed to us in credit, which could be exchanged for things or offers and gift cards on the internet, besides that if I didn't like the service I could cancel whenever I wanted, they never told me that there was a contract, which was a big ***, they made me sign a 5-year contract and in order to cancel it I have to pay 400 dollars, I called to be able to cancel and they told me they would call me back and they never did, I also told them that they will be paid with the credit that they gave us, since I couldn't use it on anything, only on discounts that can be taken for free on other websites, they cannot be exchanged for credit cards. gift, that was another big ***!! * **** ******* *** ******* * **** **** *** ** ********* ***** ** *** **** **** ****** ** ****** **** *** ***** * *** * *** ***** ** ******* *** ****

2 individuals came to my door and said they were the supplier of my electric (they aren’t) and they were trying to make sure PPL wasn’t overcharging me and told me they were and to make sure they don’t I had to call their person and confirm. Hours later I noticed the $0.99 a day charge that I will be charged so I will be canceling tomorrow. He misrepresented himself and skipped through the fees section by having my focus on the %s on the bill being too high. ******** ******** *** ********* ***** *******

SFE Energy came to my business claiming they were an energy audit company and they wanted to see my gas bill to make sure I was paying the lowest amount possible. They told me over and over again they are an independent agency working to make sure energy companies are not over charging for gas supply. Now my supply charge for gas is $1.129 per Therm. I was paying $.82 per Therm. I didn't even realize they switched me to their company. They were supposed to just be doing an efficiency audit. ** ** ******** *** *** **** ** ********* ***** ***** ** **** ******** ***** ***** *************** ***** *** ** **** ******* ** **** ** **** ******** *** **** **** ****
