      ** *** **** ***** ****** **** **** ****** *** **** ** **** **. They signed me up without my consent. My bill is way higher and they keep giving me the run around to cancel a service I never signed up for. After 4 calls I'm supposed to get a credit. We shall see I hope I don't have to make a fifth call. This is time consuming and exhausting.

      the agent that came to my door was pretty straight forward with everything my gas bill went from 136 to 33 also has been very helpful and patient with all the questions i had. everything he told me would be lowered did in fact lower.

      Shameless. They knock door to door trying to make us sign up with them. I was a victim of these people. My bill for gas and electricity doubled because of them. Customer service is horrible. I was asking for a refund and they are not issuing me one. They messed up my electricity and gas bill for two months and counting. I don’t understand why this company is still in business.

      ** * ***** *** **** ***** * ****** **** *** ******** * **** **** ******* ** * ****. They send people door to door promising these great rates. Their rate was cheaper (4.6kwh) than what I was getting (4.9kwh) , so I signed up, trying to save money during pandemic. It took two billing cycles to get my bill. I'm on the budget plan with my electric & gas. My electric bill is normally $56 so imagine my shock when I get a $127 bill! I immediately called electric company & they explained that I'm still on the budget, but SFE charged 5.2kwh PLUS a daily customer service fee ($44 for the month) I blew my stack! I called SFE, spoke to customer service & let them know I wanted to cancel service immediately. I explained the entire situation. The agent apologized, said that was not their normal company practice, offered to put in a write-up for the agent that came to my door & canceled my service. Adding insult to injury, I was then told I would have to pay $250, per utility, to cancel.. WHAT?!?! Fine, just do it! I called back later & spoke to a different agent & expressed that I am not paying $500 for their ***** misrepresentation. She asked me to email a screenshot of my electric bill showing that I am on the budget program. By doing that, she'd be able to waive the $500 fee.       A salesperson came to our store claiming he was from *** and wanted us to switch to SFE the salesperson claimed lower rates. My mother seemed interested and showed him our *** bill but did not want to switch. A month later, our bill came in the mail showing we switched to SFE but we never signed a contract or any written notice that we wanted to switch. Calling to get it canceled took a while because customer support is slow. ***** ** ******** **** **** **** ******** * ***** ** ********* ***** ** *** *****.

      The same situation! as described below
      It was interesting at first but after agreeing to hear more the person called another person on his phone and this guy read to me over the phone in ****** ******* the terms of the agreement.
      Called back the next day to cancel after reading the entire 14-page document that they sent me via e-mail. They did not mention on the phone that I would probably end up paying for something called "excessive Therms" and a few other small details that was left out.
      When I did call and sat on the phone waiting for a "associate" is turns out that this was the same guy I spoke with the previous night . . . still hard to understand. I also took the time this a.m. to read the BBB and complaints that other folks had posted as well.

      ***** **** ** **** ** **** ***** ** **** ***** **** * **** ** ** ******** ********* If you're going to go door to door, the least you could do is make sure people know the fees you charge. Their DAILY fee for electric is 1.95- about 60 dollars a month PLUS the actual bill. I've never paid more than 70 dollars in electric as a conscious electric user! Just signing up for their gouging supplier would have doubled my bill. Luckily, I read the fine print on the contract they sent to my email & cancelled my contract with SFE before the charges came in. They would have charged me a HUGE cancellation fee, about 300 dollars. The person who came to my door didn't even spell my name right on the contract, so I went through a huge thing with that.

      SFE company over charged me by $500 dollars before I chance to close the account this month. I call the company to tell them about the overcharge, but they just kept referring to a letter they said they sent me about my rates will be going up. I had no idea they were going to charge three time the normal amount every month. I drop them as soon as I could as an energy supplier, but I am hoping this message will help other people not to make the same mistake I did.
