This is absolutely absurd! Someone knock relentlessly at my door throughout the day to check my electric bill to let me know of an “unfair rate increase “ that is going to happen!! Ha!
I listened to the young man that was clearly rushing through his speech. It was very scripted. I expressed to him that I did Not want to switch my provider because I liked who I was with. “Oh no no we are only addressing the price increase”. Well okay if it’s only in additional carrier . “Yes, that’s all this is”. Ok he “signed” me up I had to get my cellphone out to call a “representative” to give a low volume, broken English speaking person. It was difficult to understand, and it very quick “confirmation” of “what I was getting”.
My electric company acknowledged my switch and I was NOT happy! This is exactly what I did not want!
My other company asked me to come back and I did.
This was a week maybe two at the most!
I got a bill for $262.50 early cancellation for SFE!! What!!!!??? For what?? It wasn’t even a full cycle .
**** ** *** ******* **** * **** **** ***********. A teenager with knocking at my door?? SFE even took advantage of this kid. He just was looking for a quick paycheck. He didn’t even know what he was asking hard working people to do! Now I’m trapped??? This is mess!!
I don’t deserve to have to pay this huge bill!! This company did nothing for me! I don’t owe them anything.
      And they threaten me with collection activities if I don’t pay?? Oh my God! **** ** * ****** * **** *** *** ** *** ** **** ** *****

I had an issue with them 8 months ago when their reps came to my door, presenting themselves as if they were from the local utility company, insisting there were changes I HAD to make to my gas bill, and saying that it would save me money. I just moved from an area without deregulated utilities and knew nothing about the process, that's my fault. In retrospect, It seems like these girls were trained to use a sales pitch that is intentionally deceptive. One girl even claimed at one point "we're not selling anything."
When I looked over the paperwork later, I discovered that their seemingly 'reasonable' upfront rates were made irrelevant by the exorbitantly high daily charges that they failed to mentioned. I immediately cancelled without too much issue.
One week later they sent another rep to my door. I asked to be put on their 'do not solicit' list.
Fast forward to January of this year... This company has now added themselves as my electricity provider without my knowledge or consent! Supposedly the local electric company sent a letter, but I did not receive it. The first I knew of it, I noticed my electric bill is double what it usually is... I check my billing details and low and behold... It's SFE back in my life.
I phoned the local electric company who verified this was NOT an aggregate change, and they are in the process of removing them for me, but I will have at least one more billing cycle with SFE charges on it.
I phoned SFE who claim someone else in my house signed for the change (I live alone) and they are supposedly opening an investigation into it.
I plan on filing a formal complaint with the Ohio Utilities Commission and pursuing legal action unless all SFE charges are refunded in full.
Notice the recurring theme in their reviews here? Notice that SFE does not even bother responding or remediating here? ***** **** **** *** **** **** **** ********

Had a person come to the door with *** identification and stating they were a contractor for ***. She said that our current rate was too high and she could help with that. I asked her if this meant moving to a new gas company and she said "You can't switch energy companies in California" She asked to see the *** bill and my wife gave it to her. My wife then signed up for something called SFE Energy. *** ***** ****** *** ******* * **** ******. Tried to talk to "Customer Service" and they were "Closed"

The person who came to my door **** immediately when I asked if he was affiliated with ****, which he isn't, and if he was trying to get me to change energy suppliers, which he was. Whether or not it would have benefitted me to change suppliers, in order to "lock in" the "state minimum rate" rather than pay the future increases that are likely by ****, I do not know. But if they really are offering a better deal, why would they need ** ***?

We had a door salesman come by and speak with my daughter. She is not authorized to make any decisions as she is not the owner of the business. We have realized our bill has been outrageously high and looked into and was charged a high amount, when the salesman stated that our bill will be saved. We recently received a notice in mail address to my daughter to pay an early termination fee of $3,394.68. She tried to talk to customer service and they had hung up on her. Rather the representative stated that she signed a contract. Even looking at the contract the sales representative was the one filling it out. My daughter is not associated with our store, she was helping out that day. She is not authorized to make any changes for any account. We are not paying this fee it is outrageous especially when we have been paying more than ever in the past four years we have had this business!!
