      **** ******* ** * ***** You pay all the services plan they offer then whenever you need them they only send unprepared contractors that have no clue what they are doing. They never have the tools and equipment they need to perform even a basic repair. They have absolutely no knowledge of their trade. They are not able to send the plan policies or a simple report of the “services” they provided even after multiple requests. The general answer is that it will be sent in 2 or 3 days but that’s another lie. If you want a serious company that value your money and time, go do business with another company *** **** **** **** ********. I have a sink that’s not working now for 3 weeks and they are unable to fix it. Complete waste of time, money and mental health. Every contractor goes to fix something they don’t know, they leave saying it’s fixed just to realize later that that’s another problem that was never mentioned before. I believe their people break things on purpose and create problems that do now exist so they can keep seeking services that are not covered but the plans.       09 January 2025 Furnace was making a loud squealing noise & a Reliance contractor came out & said venting motor was going. He said he would order one (which never happened). 10 January furnace stopped working & a terrible burning smell was emitting from furnace. Called reliance again & a service tech employed by reliance came out - said it was the venting motor & no part was ordered. Therefore he called & got part ordered & it would be delivered to my house. 14 January part arrived and I called Reliance & they came & installed the new part. My problem with Reliance is that they left me without heat in January for all that time when they advertise they fix it fast. It sounds like false advertising to me!

      ***** ******** *** ** **** ***** have been customers of Reliance Home Comfort for many years and have always bought and paid for a maintenance contract that covers our electricity, plumbing and water heater.
      We have always had excellent service and been happy with the repairs ... until now.
      We recently had an issue with a clogged kitchen drain.
      When we called to schedule an appointment to clear the drain, the service tech came and informed us that since they had been here to resolve the same issue one year before that they would not do it again.
      We were charged $600 to "power flush" the drain and told we had to pay up.
      We were told our maintenance contract does NOT cover such a service.
      We have exhausted all our avenues with the help desk @Reliance Home Comfort to no avail.
      I'm posting this to let ALL of you, my friends and family know that this company does NOT stand behind its maintenance agreement.

      Proceeded to buy-out my water heater contract. This is after tumultuous experience with poor contracting work (e.g. one Reliance contractor ***** * ***** ****** * ****** ***** **** ******* refused to change a sacrificial anode which is very good maintenance practice considering the water heater is >10 years (Jan 10, 2025), which goes against the terms and conditions). For this reason, I am closing the account.
      Where it is concerning is:
      - The buy-out takes 4 - 5 business days to process. This means I am going to pay for rental for these days depending when they feel they should process the buy-out. That seems highly unfair.
      - My current rental contract is a "pay-forward" Jan 4 - Apr 2, 2025 period with a payment date January 21, 2025. No one knew how this bill will be revised to be retroactive to my cancelling. What they did know was that I have to pay this in full. To get the refund, I have to wait until a future bill date which is indeterminant. And then I have to call into get the refund. This also seems highly unfair.
      - I am also unable to log into my account online to understand any policies.
      I am hoping this can be resolved asap, I should only be paying rental until the day I close which is today (not 4 - 5 business days later until someone decides to process it) and I should have clarity on how my future rental bills will be revised to be retroactive to cancelling today.
      Please advise or I have to dispute through legal means.

      Reliance * ****  I have been a loyal subscribing customer for 15 years at least and called for a furnace maintenance call under my maintenance plan.
      The technician took over an hour to diagnose my “problem” which he said was a defective heat exchanger amongst other things, and that none of the parts would be covered under the maintenance plan.
      He then quoted me $2300 for this to be repaired but highly recommended that I replaced the furnace for between $6000 and $8000 as the furnace is 12 years old and will soon become a money pit.
      He said that the parts would be delivered in 3 to 4 business days for replacement and that they could have a new furnace installed the next day, again recommending replacement.
      I told him that we had elderly family from out of town staying in our basement for the next week and a half, and then he wrote me up a red infringement tag which he would file with ******* and closed the gas line and shut my furnace off.
      I called someone else in for a second opinion, who not only could not find anything wrong with the furnace, but told me that the technician didn’t even perform any maintenance and he went ahead and cleaned a few components out switch the furnace back on turned on the gas line and it is now working better than ever.
      I have left a message for someone in management to call me back, but I fully intend to escalate this and take this matter up with the Home Construction Regulatory Authority (HCRA): as well as the Ontario Energy Board and the BBB.. I will also be contacting the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement.

      The guy who came to work on our furnace that stopped working mid January refused to work on the furnace because he “couldn’t breathe” due to a few hairballs on the ground in the basement (we never go into so I didn’t know there were a couple hairballs) terrible service. ****** *** *** ** ******** ******* Trekked dirt through the house and left the door wide open when he left when he saw we have two cats.

      I started dealing with this company mid-2023 with a tankless hot water system on a 10 year contract for $50/month. I am 18 months in, and the price has gone up 3 or 4 times. The company changed the installation factors and charged me an extra $1000 that wasn't part of the deal. The company told me that there was yearly inspections of the equipment in the plan, but after 13 months when no one came, I called to ask why. When they sent someone I was told it was all good. I had someone come out to discuss a water softener, he looked at the space and informed me the tankless system was leaking, and had been since it was installed, and he would discuss it with the service manger and have someone get back to me. I never heard from anyone ever.
      I need a new furnace, and I thought that this would be ok to do with them. The first sales person was so pushy and **** in communications with me, I called their main toll free line and told them I wanted a new sales person. A new person called me, and seemed to be ok to deal with. Seemed is key. He is not that good after all, I had to clarify 3 times to him in 15 minutes that There were no payment issues, and even though they had it dated for Jan 14, I had the funds. They were not wanting to book an install date without full payment, and it's winter and I need a furnace, not someone making my life harder.
      Reliance Home Comfort provides several guarantees in writing regarding terms and services they offer. These are not upheld. They guarantee a next day installation (which I was forced to pay in full early) and I have to beg to get an installation before my current furnace dies. ** *** **** **** **** ******** **** **** ** ******* *** ***** ********* ** *** ******** ********* **** *** **** *** *********

      ** ***** *** **** ********** **** *** *** ** ** ******** *********** ****** Our installation was last January 2024, installers left the booklets under the furnace. We tried calling the sales person to no avail, he wouldn't return our call.
      For 2 days after the installation our furnace didn't work, they sent 2 techs they couldn't figure out how to fix it, finally a blessed senior person came problem solved!
      Dec 2024 problems started again; so we called 3 times for service. We pay monthly for emergency service, and their response minimum 2 day wait during these cold months.
      I mention I have a 5 month baby and 2 dogs it doesn't phase them. One technician that came last week blamed us for the dirty filter. Well he was wrong, the furnace broke down again yesterday January 8, 2025.
      We called again and same response the earliest tech won't be avail til the next day, mentioned again we have a 5 month baby and 2 dogs. Management does not call back clients and there's nothing they can do, no TECH'S are available.
      The 2nd time we called the woman on the phone hung up the phone on me, wouldn't let me speak.
      I don't recommend this company ** ** ***** *********

      3 days no heat after rental furnace breaks. -15C weather. House and all water frozen. Cannot use sinks,Showers,toilets. When technician arrived. Could not fix , had to order parts. Customer service said buy space heater to keep warm. They don’t seem to care that my house is too cold to live in.

As per the Canada Greener Home Loan program, a final invoice is required and is a standard document any business should be expected to provide.
      A final invoice is just the original sales agreement with an updated date, the total amount due, the full payment, and the balance due being zero.
