      Subject: Complaint Regarding Unwanted Electrical Plan Enrollment and Inability to Cancel
      **** **** * ** ******* ** **** * ****** ********* ******* Reliance Energy for enrolling me in an electrical plan that I neither requested nor required. Despite my clear communication that I did not need the service, I was informed that I was enrolled in a one-year contract, and the company has stated that I am unable to cancel the service, which I find unacceptable.
      Here are the key points of my complaint:
      Unwanted Enrollment: I was enrolled in an electrical plan without my consent. When I contacted Reliance Energy, I was informed that the service would provide "two months free," but I never requested this plan, nor was I interested in it.
      Inability to Cancel: I have called Reliance Energy multiple times to cancel this unwanted service, but each time I was told that the service could not be canceled due to the one-year contract, despite my clear lack of interest in the service.
      Misleading Information: I was not properly informed about the details of this plan and was ****** into thinking that I had no other option but to accept it.
      I am seeking assistance in resolving this matter by canceling the electrical plan and ensuring that I am not charged for a service that I do not need or want.

After reviewing the records, there was a conversation in which the electrical plan was discussed and agreed upon. The details of the plan, including the two months free offer, were presented to you during the enrollment process, and we have confirmed that you acknowledged and agreed to the terms at that time.  We have had a minimum of four electricians visit the property to provide requested services and ensure that everything was working properly.       Subject: Response to Concerns Regarding Electricity Maintenance Service. However, I would like to clarify the situation further, as I feel there has been some misunderstanding.
      When I initially engaged with Reliance, I was under the impression that the two-month free offer would cover the necessary services without any additional charges. Unfortunately, after the technician visited my property, I was informed that the issue was not covered under the plan, and I would need to pay extra for repairs. This was contradictory to what was communicated to me during the initial conversation.
      I did not sign any formal agreement, and it seems that I was unknowingly enrolled in a service plan. I only expressed interest in trying the service, but I never fully agreed to the terms, especially not under the conditions I am now facing, where additional charges are being requested despite the "free" offer.
      I have already contacted the company multiple times to express my dissatisfaction and have requested to cancel the service, but I have not received a satisfactory resolution.
      Therefore, I would like to formally request the cancellation of this contract and a full review of the charges associated with the service, as they were not clearly communicated at the outset.

      I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the electrical service I recently received from your company.
      I had called for electrical service, expecting the plan I had subscribed to would cover the necessary repairs. However, the electrician who arrived informed me that I would need to pay an additional $150 in cash to fix the issue. When I questioned this, he explained that the plan I had was only for the initial visit and did not cover the repair work itself.
      I had previously declined multiple service plans, including your A/C and water heater plans, as I was not interested. Despite this, I found that you still enrolled me in an electrical service plan without my consent. This is unacceptable, and I feel misled. Every time your technicians visit, they repeatedly push for additional services, even when I clearly decline.
      It seems that Reliance is more focused on pushing extra service plans than on providing genuine customer satisfaction. I have already paid for services such as A/C and water heater maintenance, yet I am still subjected to unnecessary charges and aggressive sales tactics. I expect Reliance to respect its customers and stop taking advantage of those who do not want these extra services.
      Please address this issue and let me know how you plan to rectify the situation.

Long story short with all the different men that came to my home to “fix” the water tank just for it to go out in a couple weeks again I finally had my end with reliance and wanted a contractor to come out. They sent two contractors I was upstairs **** ** ******** annd contractor annd another ******* worker walked up my stairs unannounced and was told I would need to purchase a crane, absolutely ABSURD *** **** *** *** ***** ******** *********** ** *** *** * ****** ******* Thankfully I *** ****** **** *** got a brand new water tank installed the next day, it was a serious hassle to get info on how to cancel and where to drop off the tank. I was finally followed up with and told to just drop the tank off in Burlington and I would be refunded for prorated charges. Dropped off November and wiped my hands clean, so I thought. I am now being billed $1.16 and $56 upcoming for a trip service I never agreed to. I received a **** call and let the hard of English employee let his speech out and was promise I would not be billed until I received the information in the mail and I would have to call in and start the plumber service, to my surprise I received NOTHING ** * ******* * *** *******. I called today to ensure the service is cancelled and I was told I need to pay for the year. **** ** **** ******* ** ******** ****** I need this service to be cancelled and I need to not be billed ever again from this company. I don’t even care about being refunded at this point I would like this to be resolved ****** * **** ** *** *****

      I dislike this company so much that I left them *** ******** **** ******* back in 2012 or so. ** **** **** *** **** *** ***** *** *** ******* *** ***** ******* *** I'm paying 92/ month for the furnace and 21/ month for the water heater. I need to get out of this contract for my own place of mind.       My experience with Reliance has been overwhelmingly negative. Their constant ********** *** *********** emails have created an unbearable situation far worse than anything I have ever dealt with before.
      Despite informing them multiple times of my payment plans, they persistently call me daily until the payment is made. I am currently in the process of moving and have clearly stated that I will settle the remaining balance on my move date, at which point I will also terminate our business relationship. Despite this, the daily calls and *********** emails continue.
      Their customer service has been far below satisfactory. For example, during their strike, my hot water tank began leaking, and no one would assist me, even though I had a three-month-old baby at home and no access to hot water. When I needed to replace the tank later, they attempted to upsell me and added unnecessary charges to the quote. *********** ** ************* *** ***** ** ******* *** ******** ******* ** **** those charges and upgrades were not actually needed or necessary.
      Over the 10 years I’ve been with Reliance, I have endured relentless monthly calls trying to upsell me on their plumbing plan, despite repeatedly telling them no and asking them to stop.

      User beware. I was charged $850 to replace a $200 dollar part. A total of 3 hours of labour was performed. This included diagnostics, going to pick up the part, and installing it. When contacting the billing department to request a breakout of parts and labour they would not give me that information. They did however say that I should have been charged $2200. For replacement of a $200 part and 3 hours labour ?? *** ****  I would NOT use this company again. The technician was good and knowledgeable so not his fault on how the company does their billing.

      I have the Reliance Home Comfort package, which includes heating, AC, and plumbing, for multiple rental properties. Unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing.
      1. A furnace rented for one of my properties, installed just a couple of months ago, started malfunctioning. It took two days to show for the emergency call while the temperature was -25°C.
      2. In another property, there was water leaking near the furnace. I reported the issue on Thursday, but their technician only showed up on Sunday. He claimed the leak was from the water heater. After calling the water heater company, they confirmed the problem was not theirs. A third-party plumbing company eventually concluded the leak was indeed from the furnace. Still, problem is not resolved
      The field service is extremely poor, and the technicians often push for renting equipment at prices much higher **** ***** ********* ********** * ** ****** * **** **** ******* ***** ** ** ****** *** * ******** *******

We are expected to wait 12 hours overnight until the next morning.       ****** * *** ***** ********* *** *** furnace went down as of morning of December 2nd. Called Reliance, they sent over a technician, who then said it was the gas valve that was broken, and a new one would be ordered, fully covered by warranty.
      The technician then said it would be a day. Then a day went by, followed by it would be the next day. And no matter how many times we called, it was always the same answer: "Someone will call you back before the end of day" and nobody ever does. They did drop off space heaters to help but that only does so much when the house is freezing cold.
      We ended up paying $800 out of pocket for a repair technician who managed to source the part for us in Brampton and drove over an hour in heavy traffic to get the furnace running again. **** ** *** **** **** * ***** ******** **** *********
