      I would like to complain about Reliance Home Comfort about billing department, I never signed any home service contract with them, once in month of February 2022. I called for Furnace repair technician through Reliance Home Comfort, to look in to the Furnace problem, I paid cash of $100.00 for the service. I never sign any contract with them for future service plan. I had called Reliance Home Comfort cancelled department to please remove my name from service, they agreed but I don't know why they still send me the bill that I owed them $139.00, I would like to let people know this company is not serious about the business, **** **** ** ****** *** ****** *** ********* ******* ******

      I have three protection plans -heating/cooling, plumbing electrical. Keep in mind every time you call for a technician, you have to wait 4-5 hours so you pretty much have to take whole day off work to wait for them to show and then to do work. In June, I called about fixing a whirlpool bathtub. Was told that with protection plans some things not covered but there were discounts on services so it's total peace of mind. No. Plumber came, decided it was electrical. I wait a month to get electrician in. He said it's definitely not electrical, doesn't know why he's looking at it. Refers back to plumber. Call Reliance plumber. Have to wait again. He comes for 5 minutes, says they have to break up the tub and replace it, for $1200 no discount on parts or labour. Part is $800 alone. House is sold, so I have no choice but to agree. He has to order parts, never calls to confirm appointment. I called Reliance and they told me it was Wednesday 7-11 in the morning. House is sold and I live over an hour away. I woke up at 5 to get there in time for my appointment. At 10:35 he calls and says he doesn't have the part. Why didn't they call to let me know? They had 5 days to order it. Doesn't know when he'll get it. Hasn't called me back. Won't answer phone. Work was promised and not delivered. Also how did they quote $800 for a part when they can't even order it. Found it online for $400. Still waiting for them to schedule appointment. After that I need a contractor to put it all back together. Closing in a week. Tried calling the main number, their customer service people have babies crying in the background and then they hang up on you and you have to call back and go through it all again and you still get nowhere. P***** **** **** ****** The protection plans are not peace of mind. You might as well save that money yourself towards future repairs with vendors that actually fix things.

      Reliance has been billing us into the thousands after selling a house closing it and paying them in full lawyer has cashed chequed, We have continually called , our lawyer has called them repeatedly, our bank is involved for stop payments , the original sales man Brad was called and still nothing. When you call in locally you get clerks in Philippines , we are in Burlington Ontario, lawyer is here , Reliance office is here , when you close a house you deal with a group of lawyers for Reliance in Toronto area. Nothing is streamlined or connected and the you cant get answers from any of them We cant get answers *** **** ** ** **** *** **** * **** *** ****** ******* ** *********** ,,, the jury is still out but by reading these comments.....should give hint.. We thought we had it resolved the end of June and the overpayment would be sent to us in 6 to 8 weeks ...Well that time has passed called again this week and they are pretending we are new to this and should start over... we want the money we are owed ..they have no problem ***** ** **** **** saying they are doing credit checks for service ..they leave out the part where they slip a lien on your home to ensure they get paid ..however when they overcharge you you may never see your funds returned..**** **** **** ******* **** **** **** *** *** ******************* **** *******

      Reliance just installed my new furnace and a/c, It was a very quick and easy process from beginning to end. Liz, the home comfort advisor was very knowledgeable and easy to deal with. She left no question or concern unanswered. The two men who installed the units were very polite, explained the new equipment and got the work done in the designated time frame. The cleanup was great with nothing left behind. I have been a Reliance customer for many years and have never been disappointed. ******** **

      I am paying to Reliance last past 10 years for water heater that never was services, only date is when it was installed, last night call their 24 service as it is on water heater around 9pm and agent said that they don't have technician to send out and he finished 11pm , wonder that what plant she was on, I told her that have number for 24 hours service you company can not offer it is misleading and they should not do that, I told agent that i will report this to BBB as well. anyway i ask agent I want talk to supervisor, she mentioned they would not talk , she got my number so they can call me within 2 hours then she agent change that to today is now 12 noon , no one called still waiting for technician to arrive. anyway last not she told me that if not happy i should call during the day talk to customer care and file complain , 1- Why Reliance offer 24 hours service if they can not deliver it 2- Why unit was never serviced last past 10 years 3- Monthly payment stating rental and service now I can see that many people are unhappy with Reliance *** *** ** *** ****** *** ******

      HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Had to order parts and was told it was going to get mailed to my home. Technician came and ordered parts on July 13. The air compressor is causing issues of air flow throughout the home and so the air conditioning is unable to flow through the home. Gave them 2 weeks with 2 heat warnings nothing came. Called the company's customer service unable to provide me any information. Constantly misguiding me with false timelines. I Telling me that someone will call me back in 24 hours for 6 days straight!! Everyday they don't call I would call back and they would quote me another 24 hours. On top of that constantly being hung up on when they put me on hold to contact another department/contractor. All I wanted was a tracking number for the part so I can see where it is and call for an appointment when it arrives. It is now August 3rd. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR SOMEONE TO GIVE ME A TRACKING NUMBER??! If you ever get to choose run far away from this company go with others that don't waste your time when asking a simple question.

      ************************************************************ I decided to lease my furnace, air conditioner and hot water tank with Reliance Home Comfort in July of last year. In the agreement they would maintain the furnace filter and maintenance yearly. Along with the lease agreement I was promised a Nest thermostat for free. I had proof from Reliance they would provide and install the thermostat, It took me 11 months to get the thermostat for free and todate they have still not installed it. If you listen to their Commercials they say exactly that. I by them ! A free **** thermostat.
      I had a maintenance schedule for July 8th , which they cancelled and reschedule for Sept . I asked them to drop off the furnace filter at my home as the filter hasn't been changed now for over a year. They dropped off the wrong size. I have been on the phone with them at least 10 times asking them to deliver me the right size filter. They had promised me a filter on July 9th but I had to be home between 10 am - 5:00pm - and pleaded with them to ensure someone was coming with the right size filter. They guaranteed me Sunday. No show. Last Monday Reliance showed up but with no filter ! You would think they would check the size of filter based on my records. I forgot to mention I had pulled the old filter out to install the new one - I could not put it back in, as the side of the filter was torn out.
      My temperature in my house was 85'F for two days. My brother installed the dirty old filter back in I called again on Friday July 22nd and was given a reference number. The customer service girl read my log was was shocked to see how many times I had called and no one attending to my service. . Todate as of July 26th I have no heard from them.
      My next step is to put a stop payment on their automatic withdraws from my account for non service as per agreement. Which I will do today. *************************************************************** ***********

      just called reliance about buying out our rented water heater.
      unit is 10yrs old 40gal basic natural gas heater. reliance buyout quote is
      $740 . think this is ********, more than it was if bought new.

      Service tech was very personable and conscientious. Arrived when he said he was going to arrive, diagnosed the problem and repaired it very quickly. Answered all questions. Great service!
