I bought a brand 2016 Ford Escape which cost me $36,000.
I have had it for 7 years now with 170,000 kms on it an half way to work my transmission just went kaput! No warning no nothing. * *** ******* ** ** **** * **** ***** ****** ** *** * ****** *** ********** ******** Apparently this is a known issue for this year of the Escape. Was quoted $4000 (Ballpark) from transmission place for a rebuilt transmission.
I have called Ford Canada and they said there was NO RECALL ! and there is nothing they can do to assist. This is my first brand new vehicle I have purchased and the first Ford I have purchased. Honestly I am very disappointed. Built Ford Tough - **** * **** ** ******.
I will never buy another FORD.

Well this is not my first disappointment with a Ford, but it will be my last. The only reason that I went with Ford this last time after two previous F-350s in a row that had different issues is the cost of changing over all of the extra things that you buy for the vehicle that are brand specific.
The first vehicle with major issues was my F-350 (2015 I believe) where the back up camera kept going out and there were issues with all of the warning lights coming on and the truck being disabled and not starting when this happened. It would eventually go away and the vehicle would start, but 10 trips into the city (about 100 km each way at my own cost) and they still did not have the issue figured out. Not acceptable as I am a first responder who is on call. This was traded in with under 21,850 km on it to have a vehicle I felt that I could count on and trust.
I then ended up with with a 2016 F-350 that was replaced with 34,221 km on it when I was told there was a head gasket issue that was under warranty, but I did not want to keep a vehicle with that done to it with so little mileage on it.
So I then once again traded it in for a 2019 F-350 which with 42,999 km on it had the a/c stop working. Well that was a $2,648.94 bill for a 4 year old vehicle with what I feel is very low mileage on it. I was told by the mechanic that everything looked good and he could not see why a bearing would have seized causing this issue. It was not covered by warranty, but they suggested contacting Ford Canada to see if they would cover the cost. Two calls in to Ford Canada a month apart with each time being told I would get a call back within a week (lie) and on my third call I am told that as I paid the repair they closed my complaint and request for reimbursement and just never called back.
Buyer beware that Fords doesn't t appear to last and they don't stand behind their product. I bet that their service is better to make a sale than to keep a loyal customer.

I bought a 2019 F-150 with 91,000km’s on it. After owning the vehicle for 2.5 months and driven just over 9,000 the transmission failed at 100,600km. I thought Thank God I got the extended bumper to bumper coverage. Next thing I know they said that they won’t cover everything and that I would have to pay another $1,500 out of my pocket. I tried to Speak with Ford Canada to see if they can help me out because the vehicle was only 600km’s over the factory warranty and I had extended warranty but their reponse was that it doesn’t fall under any creteria to get the price covered and I would have to pay out of pocket. They said they didn’t have any special programs or recalls for this vehicle to help me out so talk to the people who sold you the warranty. I thought ghe F-150 was suppose to be a reliable vehicle and long lasting. Me and my friends will never ever buy any Ford vehicle ever again.

Purchased a 2022 F250 Platinum for work purposes. After driving it for 4 months (8000km)I was suddenly unable to start it. It took 13 weeks to have issues resolved during which the rear window “opened on its own” And was left open over a windy/rainy weekend resulting in leather flaws. I’ve reached out to my case manager numerous times to see what kind of compensation could be offered but it’s like pulling teeth with them. I was given a rental truck for the duration that the truck was in the shop, but not allowed to tow my trailer with it as per rental company agreement. I ended up paying out of pocket to have my trailer moved job site to job site and have yet to see and form of compensation from Fords. I’ve been a life long Ford Costumer having purchased numerous trucks for my business. This experience has really made me think that I should move on to a different manufacturer.

Ford could sell more vehicles, except for the fact they have a dishonest sales practice. Let me explain
it happened to myself, and to one other person that I know of where we signed the contract to purchase the Ford Mach E. on both occasions we waited for the vehicle for over 12 months, we were very excited after this long wait to finally pick up the new vehicle.
Upon delivery We were told by the sales person that the price had changed. They were now charging us the new price not the price that we had signed for 12 months prior. This was the first notification that we received. We were not told at the time of the purchase that the price was subject to change and it was not in the contract. . we understood we were signing for that price. we were also told if we didn’t like it to just leave
The second factor, and in both cases equipment that we had ordered on our vehicles, was not added to the car. Nobody notified us that this equipment would not be included. We found this out by mistake ourselves when we inspected our own vehicle. Not only did they not include the equipment. They also refused to reimburse us for the equipment that we ordered and did not receive .
Neither Ford Canada, or our dealership provided any support for any of these issues. It was a take it or leave it deal.
We still have unanswered questions regarding our new vehicle and no where to go to get these answers.
This dishonest sales practice explains why ford sales are down. All the disappointments and frustration truly ruined the excitement we had about our new car.
We have been a ford client for many years and we will not return *** **** ** ********* **** ** *******

We have a 2010 Ford Fusion. The only good thing about it is it has a ***** engine. We bought it for our wedding back then. It has 175,000 kilometers on it. About 13,000 kilometers a year. All required maintenance done and some. This car is a disaster. The rust and corrosion is insane. In just one year it got so bad that a new gas tank was needed - $2,000. Leaked gas and was incredibly dangerous. (Even the new tank is faulty). The sub framework was rusted to such dangerous levels that the wheel was about to come off. $3,000. The radiator and coolant lines corroded $1,200. Presently the rocker panels are shredded with rust and many other areas as well. The driveway is stained with rust patches. The drivers seat controls are broken. The transmission needs far more attention and adjustments than any other car. It goes through factory brake parts at an incredible rate. **** ********** *** ******* ***** ********* **** **** ******* ********* ********* * ***** ***** **** **** *** ** ******* ******** ***** ** ******* ********* **** ** ********** *********** **** *** ******* *** ****** Henry Ford had great ideas that are now totally lost in translation. I wish I could resolve this problem through consumer decently but I would get nowhere.
