We have been obedient users on shopify and now shopify will not pay us out because there is an issue with our old bank account information not matching although we are inserting the correct information its going on 3 weeks now and i have not received the proper help. We are on the verse of losing our business because they are holding ***** dollars of our funds that they are not paying out. This is how i feed my family and pay my bills and i am on the verge of not being able to feed my family because shopify is holding my payments. No one wants to help and i am worried we will have to shut down our businessShopify Inc.

I have been trying for days now to get a hold of support to close abusiness that is in my name and has my email address I cant even get a real person to answer me unless you have a SHOPIFY ACCOUNT. I dont even have one someone is using my information!!!!Shopify Inc.

For many weeks, I saw a ******** ad from Shopify advertising a free 3 day trial, first month $1, and a free card reader ($49 value).I signed up on June 10.I was billed $1 for the first month on June 14.Upon signing up, I never saw the $49 credit loaded to my account. I called multiple Shopify customer service numbers multiple times in the first week. Every representative I spoke with stated the free hardware promotion had ended, even though I provided screenshots and an active link to the ad.Finally on June 14 at 3:00PM, I spoke for 27min 8 sec with an unnamed representative that stated he would have this credit uploaded directly to my account and it would be available the next day.After two weeks, no credit has been issued to my account. I called again on 7/1 to inquire and was told by a representative that she could not see any confirmation of uploading the credit to my account. She stated that after each phone call, a ticket number is emailed to me which I did not receive on June 14. She refused to transfer me to a supervisor.As a one woman small business owner, I am incredibly frustrated with the time I wasted as I was led on by a massive, global company that refuses to follow through on their supposed sign up promotions. Even more so, it appears I was directly lied to on June ********************* happily off the phone. Stay clear of Shopify!Shopify Inc.

Hi, *******.This is ****** and I am a Support Lead here at Shopify.It is true that an email with a ticket number should be sent after every interaction with Shopify support; if that isnt functioning correctly, we want to know so we can troubleshoot and prevent merchants from missing these important notifications. Id like to look into this further for you, to ensure that our Support Advisors are following proper escalation procedures and that both our promotions and ticket system are working correctly. Since this is a public forum and we have strict guidelines around merchants personal information, were limited in what we can discuss here. In order to investigate further, please reply to your ticket from July 1 and reference this review; you can search your email for ticket #********. A reply to that ticket will allow me to respond to you via our secure portal where we can ensure were speaking with the store owner.In that reply, it would be helpful for you to include as many details as you can the previous calls. Dates, times, the numbers you called and the number(s) you called from would be of use. Including the screenshots you mentioned of the promotion would also be helpful. Subject: Complaint Against Shopify To Whom It May ********* am writing to file a complaint against Shopify regarding unresolved issues with my account that have severely impacted my business.Since June 14, I have been unable to receive payouts for my orders due to issues with updating my bank information. Shopify's system incorrectly states that my bank account is not the same as before, despite it being correct. When I attempted to update to a new bank account, I encountered errors, and no resolution was provided.My situation was escalated weeks ago, but I have not received any contact or assistance from Shopify. As a result, my account is now on hold, preventing me from receiving funds, which is incredibly frustrating and has hindered my ability to operate my business effectively.I urgently need this issue resolved and the funds owed to me disbursed. Despite my complaints and attempts to resolve this matter since June 14, Shopify has not provided the necessary support.I appreciate your assistance in facilitating a resolution between myself and Shopify.Shopify Inc.

I would not recommend Shopify. They have been holding our payments for over a month now and not once have they provided an explanation on what we need to do (if anything) to start receiving payments again. We have had ticket ******** open for a month+, have reached out to support 10+ times and get the following message every time. Im unable to see the response time since this is determined by the demand our team is having. Were having to consider shutting down our store due to the inability of Shopify to pay us the money we have earned.Shopify Inc.

I made a purchase with my son on Shopify. It was for an artists merchandise. There was a clear indication at the top of the website, "30% discount will be applied at checkout" in bold pink letters. My son was not going to purchase until he saw that, because he didn't have enough money and the discount made it affordable.When we finished the purchase, the discount was not applied. I contacted them with a screenshot. They said that they would look into it ad got back to me and said, "Thank you for reaching out! We will reach out to management regarding this matter."then the response " there was actually not a sale going out recently and that's why a discount was not applied. Thank you". when I challenged them, showing the screenshot, I got: "We checked with management and looks like some coding was embedded on his page by accident, since a sale has not happened. Sorry for the error. "I contacted them again and said that this is not acceptable, or a good business practice, and now I have just been ghosted; they are ignoring me completely, of course because they have our money.Buyer beware, this is dishonest and quite dispicable, feeling like we were lured by a non-existent discount. The only recourse I have is to alert others to their lying. Any reputable business would have apologized and just honored the discount. Not Spotify... Shady practice. It's not even about the 9$, just wanting a business to do the right thing and be honorable.My kid learned a few important lessons here, he has lost trust in online shopping and now has learned never to purchase anything that has the Shopify company attached to it, as will our friends and family.Wish there was a 'no star' button, they dont deserve any.Shopify Inc.

We have been with them for over 5 years and have paid nearly $200,000 in credit card fees plus their $1500 annual membership. They have forced us to spend thousands on their hardware that is horrible and has failed consistently. We ran into a serious issue today and they told us we cannot speak to anyone on the phone unless we have a plus plan ($2300 USD/Month). So now we are forced to fix it ourselves while we have customers waiting. Cant even talk to someone on the phone? We are 2nd 3rd 4th class customers and don't deserve their precious time to solve a problem their app created? Some offshore Ai messaging centre is now my only option.Used to be a helpful company but have gone downhill extremely fast and the moment we have time everything will be cancelled and i'm not paying them a dime ever again.Shopify Inc.

1 starIncreasingly sketchy behavior regarding their plan selector. You can really only make one change at a time for it to honor - it will downgrade the cheapest option but leave the useless (to us) $89 charge for POS Pro. They won't honor a credit (not even asking for a refund). Despite evidence I downgraded the plan across the board - they claim it doesn't show that. Poor practice, worse support - took 2 weeks for them to admit they weren't going to fix after I asked why it was taking so long. They must be grasping for whatever cash they can right now with stock price falling.Be very careful - I've worked with Shopify for 8 years now and it's not really improved. Poor management and scaling result in a very hostile environment for anyone but the biggest stores.Review fromSeanna E

1 starThis company is notorious for withholding peoples money and having no way to contact other than a chat with customer service reps who give automated responses. I opened an account and without any notice my payments were put on hold. Ive been told numerous times to check my email for emails that never come and given 24,48 and 72 hour timelines to which I am never contacted. Big warning for the shopify business owners. shopify is inviting businesses owners to activate free trial again and then after they do activate and prepare there store. Suddenly terminating them without any reason. After asking and submitting all documents. Worst chat support. Only a childish reply received. You have to contact to the team. Who is dealing that termination. Now wtf how do i know who is dealing with that inside shopify. How to contact that team. I don't know how to contact them.1. Email Headline "Your dream deserves another shot. It's been a while since you ended your Shopify trial."2. Then a seller invested his precious time and effort to Prepare a Shopify store.3. After adding some products and bank ac for the same business store suddenly terminates.4. Store terminated. Without any reason and Shopify chat have nothing to share. ????? Support Advisor????????5. What kind of a support. I just received today. I have no idea.5. Nice job shopify. Well done. keep it up.!
