      My neighbour has a contract with Snowbusters Ottawa, who cleaned his double laneway onto our walkway Sunday, February 16. They have admitted fault and said they would clean it up, it have been nearly a week since we have been barricaded in our place, over 30 hours since I last spoke to someone and this is a health and safety and fire hazard. My mother is disabled and requires a cane and cannot leave the premisses.

      My neighbors have a contract with this snow removal company and it buried us in. I tried calling them several times on Monday and through ******** with no response. 2 days ago I did get a hold of someone to have me send some pictures over and they would send some people. It has been 2 days and no response has been given. I have been calling them during business hours and have not picked up at all. More over voice mail is full since Monday. The snow blocking us is well over 5 feet and covering over the walk way, which causes a total blockage.

      There was big snow storm on Thursday, Feb 13, 2025, about 40 cm in Ottawa. Snowbusters came around 9am and they did not come after that. The storm stopped around 5pm. There are lots of snow on our parking plus the city plow and we cannot get out of our parking to work. We were assured email that their crew will come on Friday (Feb 14, 2025). We even put a service ticket on their website for them to come. We waited and waited. We already missed work on Friday. Today, Saturday, Feb 15, 2025, we followed up on the email. Their email said their dispatch email is now closed and will not be monitored. There is another snow storm coming up this weekend. The snow will pile one after another. This is not acceptable anymore. This is not the 1st time Snowbusters missed our property. They kept on missing and missing. Poor Business Coordination and Management. They kept on getting customers that they cannot serve.

      Good afternoon,

      On the 2nd storm (another 40 cm), they did not come to remove the snow at the front parking lot. They missed it (please see attached picture). We tried to contact them by phone but their voice mail is full and cannot accept calls.  We sent them emails but no response from this company. We created service tickets on their website that they need to come back to remove the snow. It is now Wednesday, Feb 19, 2025, they still did not show up.  We cannot park on our front parking lot because of this snow.  Very bad company!

      I am representing my 85 year old mother with mobility problems.We have employed Snowbusters to clear snow from her the laneway for the 24/25 season.There have been three snow falls above the 5 cm limit set by the company.foe the first snowfall it took three days for the company to show up and that was only after a number of emails and a personal visit to there office. During that time, it was very difficult for a delivery person to access the residence to deliver medication.I have all the correspondence and photo's of the ordeal.The last snow event was on the 23rd of December, that they did never showed up and left my mother snow bound until I cleared the lane Christmas morning. The company completely shut down and did not have anyone around to respond to emergencies. They responded on the 27th, stating they sent someone on the 26th, which I responded could not have been accurate because I cleared it and took pictures.When I asked to cancel the service, their answered that they would prorate the charges $400 and charge a $95 fee and pay at the end of the season for a service they didn't provide.I don't trust these people to pay at the end of the season, and my mother is on a fixed income, they seem to just put people off and hope that people don't follow through.I've sent a break down of the issues to bylaw and they have been looking into it from their end. I found out from the City that Snowbusters are not licensed, nor are their clearing vehicles.

      Your company saved hundreds no thousands of $$ in diesel fuel costs this year. Also every customer realizes you saved hundreds no thousands of $$ in overtime expenses. Also you saved hundreds no thousands of $$ in tractor maintenance expenses. None of these savings were passed on to your customers in 2024. After I signed and paid the snow removal contract I checked the BBB for reviews. Your company has an ' F ' rating. Many complaints remain outstanding and unresolved. I complained about the lack of prompt service and was disappointed by the response. Also there is a mandatory requirement to take a picture. I don't own a camera. Not always easy to borrow one. There was never a name with the email response like >**** ***** General manager Snowbusters. I think the tractor was here 3 times so far. The people who remove snow from the steps twice. I paid $1,344.7 includes tax. One simple driveway on ******** Ave. Lots of room to place the snow. Front yard or NCC land adjoining driveway. They do not remove 2 feet in front of garage even though I paid for front and back step snow removal BTW: I am a senior with mobility issues. My strong recommendation is to skip this business and find another.

      I was driving to work and was struck by this company's snowplow. They did not stop and I had to chase the plow. There was extensive damage done to my rear passenger wheel well. I suspect the operator was impaired. I stopped his plow and he called his manager. Both parties claimed not to have the commercial insurance information on them. They referred me to the head office. I have filed a police report, who has subsequently deferred further investigation to my insurance company. The head office does not return any e-mails or phone calls to me or my insurance company seeking their insurance information (ghosting us). They appear to be operating within the City of Ottawa without a valid Snow Removal Contractor license. The city has launched its own independent investigation of this which is underway.

      I entered into a contract with SnowBusters, effective from November 10, 2023 until April 1, ****. I decided to do so based on the number of neighbours who have used their service. I paid $615.85.The contract includes specific details around clearing both my driveway and my front walkway. The first time it snowed more than 5cm in December, they sent a group email saying the trucks were deployed after the snow had ended at 6AM. At 4PM, my snow had not been cleared, and I ended up doing it myself.The second time it snowed more than 5cm was in early January. The trucks were deployed after the snow had ended at noon, and my driveway was cleared at 10PM. My walkway was not cleared.I contacted the company to ask about the walkway. They said that a mistake had been made, and that they had not charged me for walkway snow removal. I explained that my understanding from the notes was that it was included in the full price. They denied this, and said that they would have to charge me more (approx $250) to have the sidewalk service. I was not interested in paying more, and asked to be refunded.The company did not take any responsibility for the error, and they said that they would only pay me $292.15, which includes a $45 cancellation fee. I don't see how it is fair to have to pay a cancellation fee when it was their mistake in the first place.I eventually agreed to this amount simply because I was tired of dealing with this situation, and an in an email they said they would send the payment within 48 hours. After 48 hours, I hadn't received anything, and they said it was delayed because of a snow event. Now it has been more than ****************************************************** I know they will say that I am impatient (I've read the other reviews now - wish I would have sooner) but they established the initial timeframe.Their service is inadequate, they are unprofessional, and I hope others will avoid them and the hassle I have experienced.

      Over the weekend, I decided to write a ****** review on Snowbusters.  This morning, they responded to it, and they just sent me the refund that we had agreed to.  Its not the amount that I would have liked, but it is an acknowledgement that the contract is over, and Im moving on.

      Snowbuster's service is ridiculously bad.
      I have missed work 3 times because i couldn't get out of my driveway.
      They've showed up at 6....7....8....9 o'clock at night which isn't helpful.
      On January 29th they started work at 6pm, by 6am the next morning my driveway still wasn't done.
      If a company can't get to its customers in a 12 hour window there is something wrong with their business plan.
      They either have to many customers or not enough equipment.
      I will not employ them again.
      At this point I'm better off snowblowing and shovelling myself.
      Colossal failure of service.

      My son and I had to snow shoveling our buildings, because the Snow Busters keeps failing by not turning up at all. Last Friday they fail to do one of our property then today again the same issue. This isn't a joke when the property is quiet large. I had sent email and communicated with ***, supposedly their office manager. But it's like a joke, promising us the tractor is coming when it never turn up. Look else where, I am posting this review is just to save any other innocent consumer to having to deal with this! It's a bust in operation.. no hope.. Next seeking legal actions.. It's said because we ask to speak to the owner and no one stand up to take responsibility or to correct the issue.. (they were ok in 2012 late but comes in, this year is just a total failure..

      Again, your service this year is unacceptable. A huge snow bank was left in front of my garage, so I cannot get in or out.. A huge snow bank was left in front of my driveway.. It was not plowed, he only ran over it with his tires. The snow was blown directly onto my neighbors house, which he wasn’t pleased about, and was also blown on my house, covering my windows, and side door, making them unusable. The plow line is also too narrow, making the whole of the driveway inaccessible. Seniors with mobility issues live here. You’ve made it impossible for emergency vehicles to enter my driveway. Very dangerous. You have horrible Google reviews, and way too many complaints with the ***.
      We’ve had these exact same issues last year, and we’re assured It wouldn’t happen again. I foolishly believed.
