      This review is for the Staples store in Richmond, BC, on Sweden Way.
      Usually if possible, I try to avoid Staples, but as my wife's package was sent here for holding at *****, I had no choice but to visit. I went to pick up the package and the person at the counter said I am not allowed even though we have matching addresses. (I also brought the ***** doortag). I was baffled as the official website of *****, both the US and Canada version of the website (**************** ) states that anyone with the same address as the recepient can pick up the parcel. I thought it was just because the person at the counter was new. It completely baffled me when she spoke with her manager, and the manager also said no. After more deliberation and showing her the official rules of *****, she released me the package. The person at the counter that helped me originally said those are ***** rules, but "this is staples". I had to let her know that as an authorized ship centre, Staples handling ***** has to abide by the same rules. A store simply cannot make up its own rules for each individual store. After I finally received my package, the person asks me if I wanted to buy something... Are you kidding me? Not only was this location illegally holding my package hostage, they also expect me to spend money in their store after.. Seriously..
      I had to speak with the manager again afterwords to let he know she cannot make up her own rules for ***** simply because she's the manager of the store. Really as manager, she should have really known better. Oh yes, at some point the coworker beside the manager tried to stop me from talking to her. I don't know if he's suppose to intimidate me or what, but I wasn't yelling and I was talking in a calm tone, never once did I yell.
      Please do better.

      Staff have no customer experience. Had a passport photo done , went to passport office and they would not accept it due to bad quality . Went back to store , did not receive an apology . I was only offered my money back or a new photo , even though they made the error . Since I was on a time crunch to get my passport in for renewal , I chose another photo which took 3 tries . The manager assisted me at the end , no apology still, marginally passable photo . Really poor customer service . As a customer you put your trust that they know what is an acceptable photo to Passport Canada .

      *** ******** ***** ******** ******* ****. I bought a brand new laptop and ************. When I got home it said this key code has already been redeemed. I have been back to the Staples store five times (an hour and half drive each way). They finally refunded my money on the ************ on Oct. 26/23 so I purchased the ********* ****** **** *** ******** When I tried to load this program I got an error and it won't load. I phoned the store again and they said the manager would phone me back. He did not.
      I now want a full refund and take my business somewhere else.

      Ordering nightmare! Ordered a laptop from staples.ca and selected Ajax as the pick up location as the store had 3 units in stock. Went the next day to pick the laptop only to be told your order has not shipped. I specifically selected the store during the ordering process because the store had 3 units in stock. To my disappointment, the store clerk informed me that i had to wait for the laptop to be shipped from **********. As an alternative, the store clerk offered the laptop in stock to be purchased at the store for full price and cancel the online order. IF i had proceeded with this process, i would of had to purchase the laptop twice.... The clerk then created the invoice charging me full price for the laptop. I indicated the laptop was purchased on sale. The clerk did mention that she could price match. Staples has the ability to price match with themselves!!! To avoid a further mess, i declined purchasing the laptop from staples TWICE and left the store without a laptop i just purchased. Unreal. Staples customer service has failed. Would have had no issues if i just left the store with the laptop, Ajax staples replenishes their stock with the online order and I would have been a happy customer.       The absolute worst costumer service by the staff and Head Office Manager named Stanley.
      Stanley base sickly just told me there is nothing he could do for me except he will provide training to the staff at the store
      Went to a store ask for a USB expansions ports for a ***** ******* ***; received wrong product.
      Went to a store 4 weeks later, due to being away explained my situation and asked for a exchange not for a refund since I have misplaced the receipt. Could not get a exchange but a credit of $32.99 on a product I paid $84.99 and this time the product was on sale for $54.99. Not sure where this makes sense, but according to the manager it is computer generated. So I guess at STAPLES the MANAGERS do not think or make discissions The Computer does it on there behalf.
      On top of it when asked again for the wright product from the stores tech guy he suggest another product at HIGHER price, but if I did not point out that the product he suggest has the same issues as the one I returned. Wow there you go, just proves be aware of the experts at STAPLES.

      Ordered postcards for a family celebration of life program. It was clearly time sensitive, as the date of the event was on the document. A simple two sided document. Paid the express shipping to ensure it arrived in the 3-5 day express shipping window. It arrived on Day 6, only because I had called and asked to cancel on Day 4, when tracking indicated it was still in production. They are not clear about their production and delivery times. Nowhere on their website could I find a clear indication of separate production timelines. However, their shipping shipping timelines state that includes production. They did not meet the express timeline I paid heftily for, but deny any culpability with made up nonsense about their extra production times.

      Staff was very polite an helpful . I couldn't find the item I was looking for but the staff didn't give up. They asked one another until it was found. What a team??

      Last week I ordered a laptop that was on clearance on their website. Shortly after I received a call that the laptop was actually out of stock. I was confused about how it could be listed as available on the website, but let it go. A few days later once again looking for a laptop, I went back on their website and was excited to see it was back in stock. I ordered it. Fool I. Shortly after I got another message that the item was not actually in stock. Now I was frustrated. I don't understand how there can be such a lag in updating the inventory on their website. The customer service persons I spoke to were understanding, but their business practice is not acceptable. The laptop still shows as available on their website, waiting for the next hapless buyer.

      Bought a new tablet and also signed up for their tech support. Had store clerk transfer information from old tablet to new one. Well cannot use emails, texts, also banking got that fixed. Have spent at least 10 hours trying to get my NEW TABLET working. The last person I talked to gave me the phone number of the store. Bought it and tech support in ******* Ontario. Had tablet for 16 days and from day 1 there has been problems. ********. I want the contract cancelled and my money refunded for contract and tablet. * ** * ****** *** * *** ******* ***** ********* *** *********

      I purchased the ***** ******* Pro Student Teacher Edition from Staples.ca. Once the download arrived in my email a couple of days later I believed I could simply install the product and use without additional steps. I found out that the "serial number" provided does not allow you to install the program but instead requires you to submit proof to a 3rd party verification service to prove that you are in fact a student or teacher (which I am not). I went back to staple.ca and read through the description again and nowhere on the website does it warn the purchaser that 3rd party verification of student or teacher status is required before installing the software. I reached out to staples but was told that they don't refund digital downloads. This is the equivalent of theft. No warning, no notes in the description, nothing. Never buy digital downloads from Staples, they will take your money and leave you out to dry.
