      My 16 year old daughter applied for an account towards the end of June. Letter dated June 28 from the bank was received in the mail advising account has been opened. She also received separate mails with the access card and pin number.
      To our utter consternation, she received an email from Simplii dated July 5 asking for more information to confirm her ID. That Simplii could send information confirming an account is opened and then subsequently ask for more information is *** **** beyond our comprehension *** **** ********** *** *************** The representative we spoke to said the account is not active and **** *** *** **** ** *** that the account information they sent in the mail should not have been forwarded to my daughter's employer.

      I have been banking with Simplii for over 22 years and I could not be happier with this company. I recently enquired about a secure line of credit and received ultra-fast service from mortgage specialist Rabaqia ********* ***** and was offered excellent rates.       Closed our account without our knowledge still accepting e-transfers into the account and will not release the money to me!!! The department I keep getting transferred too has business hours 8am-noon and I’ve been calling and calling nobody answers! **********

      I have been using Simplii Financial for many years. I was happy with it until last month.
      They tricked me to sign up with a credit card.
      When I log on my account, I usually get my account summary on the first page.
      Last month, when I logged on my account, I got a page different page with lots words and paragraph. I tried quickly to exit the pages. It seems kept going to another page. I had not intend to read all the advertising but at the end I realize I applied for a **** Credit card. I would not get out of the page. Then, I call Simplii Customer service to cancel the card. She told me that she cancelled it. A week later, I received a **** Credit Card.
      This is bad practice to trick me to sign up for credit card.

      Simplii is a joke of a bank have talked to several representatives by this point trying to update my information and get a new card, because I no longer have my old phone that’s tied to the account I have to jump through hoop after hoop just to try and change my address so I can ever get a new card, the reps are unhelpful, don’t call back, are often dismissive ** ******** ****.

      I was in a small town 1hr from my place of residence and went to pay for a lunch and my card was declined. ( it wasnt for lack of money.) Thank goodness I had my credit card with me. Tried my card at 2 other places and same thing. Phoned customer service 5 times that day and was on hold about 3 1/2 hrs waiting to talk to someone and never reached anyone.       Terrible customer service!! They have no banking fees but don't offer as high of interest on all their HIGH interest accounts as our Credit Union!! Didn't realize all these problems till my daughter tried to get her money out of a GIC that took 5weeks to show up in her account....NOT GOOD. Kept getting a different agent every time we tried to resolve this!! ** ** *** ***** *** ****** ************ ****** ****** *** **** *******
