      My wife and shopped at The Hudson Bay store downtown Ottawa. The personal attention from the staff ( Christ in shoes and Jimmy in men's fashion) and their helpful caring attention gave us a wonderful shopping experience that needs to be recognized. Personal attention and true customer service is what you will get when you shop in person. They are people serving people and their knowledge and skill is excellent.

      I order a pair of men shoes from The Bay's Market place. I wore them two times and they fell apart. I got in touch with the Marketplace sellers ** ******* ***. They email me and asked for pictures. I sent them the pictures with ordering information. They email that they would get back to me and instead they didn't. Now they won't reply to any request of mind. The prices of the shoes were so 64.00 dollars CAD, real cheap. I guess you could say I got what I paid for. I've given up. It's not worth my time *** * ******* **** ** **** ** ***** ******** *** ** ****** *******

      ** *** *** ****** **** ****, I got my package stolen because the delivery guy decided to live it in a non safe place, I have been fighting with them for 2 week now to get my money back. Every time I talk with them they say will be in touch in 48h, now they are telling me to call the police like the cop can somehow find my package. I have never seen this before it there responsibility to make sure I get my package.

      I made an online order and the next day got an email that it had been shipped. That same day it stated that it had been delivered but I never received anything. I contacted customer service who said to give it another day as the courier will sometimes put it as delivered when they left the warehouse. So I gave it another day and surprise still no package. I contacted customer service again and demanded a refund. I was told they would have to escalate it and I would get an email in a week or so. I received an email the next stating that they “investigated “ and I would not be receiving a refund as it was “delivered “. I will NEVER order online or shop at any The Bay stores. They love to take your money but you get nothing in return!

      4 months waiting for a refund. I must've called and emailed over 15 times. I actually lost count of how many times I inquired. Every time I speak to customer service they tell me the same answer: A refund is on the way. Never have I ever received anything. Terrible experience. I don't know how a company is able to take advantage of their customers like this. Some people need their funds desperately. ******** ** ********* ** * ***** ****** ******* ** ***** ******* *** **** Unacceptable.

      ** * ***** **** * * **** * ****** I am extremely upset with the customer service. I ordered my son a snowsuit and toy, I never received it in the mail although ********* claims they delivered it and has a picture. In fact I actually chased down the delivery driver and he admitted he may have delivered it to a different floor ( i checked and there was no package anywhere in my building). I then called the bay and they said they would issue a refund, I have contacted them several times in the last 2 months and nothing. Finally they said they would not be issuing a refund but would reopen a case again, they never sent follow up emails when they said they would, and still havnt received a refund for an item I never received!! In fact I had to reorder the same item again because the first never came and they screwed me out of $166.00. I am beyond angry and frustrated. Awful customer service.

      I purchased two items of skin care products online from Hudson Bay on Dec. 25. I received one box (one item only) on Dec. 28. The packing list shows two items in the box. I called customer service regarding the missing item. They give me case number of refund. I received email confirmation on refund request. After that email, no response from the company. I emailed them to follow up. The representative emailed me that they delivered two items and wanted me to call police for investigation. I explained to her how the police can help me when I received the sealed box. Then, she created another case number for refund and mentioned it took 14 business days to process the refund. I kept waiting for their response and repeated the complaint process. I really frustrated and helpless with their response. I have never experienced such bad customer service.

      * **** *** ******** *** **** ****** Interesting that I read the first review below about their use of a third party for their online orders. I ordered ****** ****** *********** dishes when their bay days were running. I ordered 3 sets (so total of 12 plates, small plates, bowls and coffee mugs. I started using them and noticed right away that they were rough to the touch and starting discoloring. I thought maybe it was my fault or from my dishwasher. I was so mad about it I stopped using them. Then one day my neighbour sent over some baking on the same plate and when I went to wash it, I noticed it had a embossed ****** ****** marking on the bottom and I had never noticed that on mine. I checked my plates and saw that it had a etched ****** ****** in the dish but it was very faint and you could scratch it off. The shape of the plate was different and the feel was different. I went through my dishes and found 5 of the 12 of each had the proper ****** ****** emblem on the bottom and they the feel and look of the ****** ****** dishes I had seen at my friends homes and in stores. The other 7 of the twelve dinner, plates, small plates and cups did not have the marking on the bottom. SO BASICALLY, the Bay sent me knock offs. The 5 items of dinner, small plates, bowls and coffee cups are wonderful and I am using them but I have 7 of each that are crap and they won't do anything about it. They offered me 10% off my next purchase. What a joke! **** ** *** ****** ** *** ****** ********I will never order anything from the Bay online and actually will never purchase anything from that store again. * **** ***** **** *** **** ** ******** ** ** * ********* *********

      MHF Case #******** We purchased an end table at The Bay at ****** ***, Mississauga on December 6th. We were told by the sales clerk that we could return if we were not satisfied. On December 8th, we tried many times to put the table together but were unsuccessful because one of the leg's was not properly aligned to the hole for the screw. We contacted customer service on December 8th and explained the problem and submitted an email with photos to show the defective leg. We were told by the customer service representative that he had to get approval and we had the option of an exchange or refund. When we were contacted several days later by email we were told that we could only exchange the item. We contacted customer service again and told them that we did not want an exchange since the furniture item was not the quality that we expected for the price we paid. We requested a refund but the service representative would not accept our request as she said that once again they needed approval. When we asked to speak to speak to a manager or her supervisor and she put us on hold for several minutes and returned to say that no manager was available. The customer service representative, however, agreed to forward our request for a refund. On December 21st we received another email from The Bay customer service department saying that we were approved for an exchange. Obviously customer service is not a priority with the Bay and they are unwilling to let us return the item that is defective. We will be going to the Bay after December 25th to speak to a manager.
