Very ********* advertising. FREE means free, not 'free with a two year subscription for hundreds of dollars.'
Please at least put a notation on the FREE, to note...'free with two year subscription'. Its a really ********* advertising scheme.

They called me and told me I had a bunch of free boxes and sent me a link. I went in and looked at it before I could see anything. It made me enter my credit card information. I then looked at the meals and due to my dietary restrictions. They are not right for me so I did not complete my order I have now my credit card has been charged $37. This is absolutely unacceptable. .

** * ***** **** **** ***** * ****** ** *** *** **** ******* ** ** * ***** If you enter a promo code for a free box you are signing up for a subscription that you have to manually cancel, they do not tell you this. If you do not sign in and click "skip delivery this week" every week they will automatically charge your credit card and ship you the default menu for the week.
I logged in 4 years after I did a free box and looked at their menus for the next week. They charged me and shipped my meals to the address I had 4 years prior without me placing an order. Logging in was enough for them to "re-activate my subscription without my permission or consent to charge my card.
    I called to dispute the charge and they will not do anything for you. there customer service is terrible *** ***** ****** ** *** ** ** **** ********* ** ***** ********** **** ***** *** * **** **** ***** ***** ****** *** **** *** ******** *** **** **** ***** ****** **** ** *** * ******* *** **** ** ********

Charged my credit card and sent me a box after I had ALREADY skipped a month in advance. I called them for a refund and they could only offer 50%!! Poor customer service, poor food quality, poor experience overall. ** *** **** ** *** ***** ******

The company tried to charge my card for a subscription I had not even approved. They force you to enter all your info before showing any prices which was not a big deal we looked through and after seeing the prices for a subscription we decided not to continue with the order process. They then tried to force the subscription through and charge me for it without my consent. **** ** ***** ***** *******

**** ********** **** ********** * **** ***** When you purchase a Hello Fresh gift card, it does not act like a gift card on their website or when you call customer service. You can not use the hello fresh gift card you paid cash for on their website, because they have given you a promotional code which lasts weeks. While receiving a promo code you cannot use a gift card as there is only room for one code. You must let them charge your credit card instead, even if you have $200 in gift cards. A gift card should not be considered a promo code. You must cancel the subscription and promotionals they are offering to use your cash which is on gift card. **** ** ******* **** **** **** ***** **** ******** *** ******* **** **** *** There are rules on gift cards and nothing says the item has to be full price.

Ive decided to give the company another try after them reaching out for me a few times to reactivate my account. I finally did so and my first order came to $102.47 which is a fair price to me. However, I was charged that 3 times ($307.41 total) in the matter of one week- never was my account insufficient funds so not sure why kept on being charged. I did get returned the two extra payments but during that time I did receive and NSF from my bank because my car payment was missed because HelloFresh decided to triple charge me. I am not happy at all.

I used Hello Fresh for a short time during covid time. 2 days ago I thought maybe I will order something if I find something to my taste. Hello Fresh reactivated my account so I browsed but I did NOT place an order . Today I checked my banking online and to my HUGE surprise there was a Hello Fresh charge of $ 90.49! I called them and said that I did NOT order anything! The person told me again and again that they can not do anything, Sunday I will get the box. I told her again that I did NOT place an order and I don't live on the address they have on my account. She said again that nothing can be done. After telling to each other the same thing again and again (me that I did NOT place an order and I don't live at that address anymore, she that nothing can be done), she said that she can compensate me with 50% of the charged price. Indeed, there is a credit of $49.25 on my **** card. Horrible customer service and how come that they used my card without placing an order? I asked for a supervisor but I was told that he/she would contact me in about 24hours. I said forget it, I will not sit by the phone waiting for the call. I cancelled my account but I guess they will still deliver the box to my old address and maybe somebody will take it. Just unbelievable!!!!! Never again!
