    I tried out this service a few times, and the first 2-3 times everything went well. Hello Fresh would remind me via email to make recipe selections prior to the stated deadline. Then randomly, those reminders stopped and they charged my card $80 and shipped the box. I declined the box delivery on Jan 5, and they emailed me right away to figure out what had happened. I replied and explained why I had declined the delivery, never received a response from them for about 2 weeks. I followed up on the same email, still didn't receive a response. Over 3 weeks since this incident I called their help desk, and am told that they are moving away from email communications. How am I supposed to know that? They reached out to me first, and I responded to the email chain they started. During the call, I was told they couldn't do anything to help me because they were moving away from email communications to encourage people to use their chat function. So they changed their standard practice about recipe selection reminders without any notice, and charged me for not following their 'new' process. The food is honestly, but the service is so appallingly ridiculous that it's not spending any time or money with this company.

    Cancelling subscription from this company is really hard. I tried threes times, twice with following everything on their website and then with a phone call. I did this as per their instructions. They do not dilver to the door if you have no delivery services available you will need to drive to a warehouse to pick it up. The meals do not offer allergy free selection. I ended up cancelling the payment from my ****** account. Do not use anything but ****** or they will keep charging even though they said they cancelled your subscription. I got a low carb meals that where mainly lettuce and had ingredients that I could not eat. That is why I cancelled as soon as I setup my subscription also no delivery. Hope this helps out someone. Don't cancel online call direct and ask for an email to be sent.

    I got a coupon and went online to check them out you can't just look at their site unless you first sign up .I checked their menu but wasn't interested in any meals so I unscribe but they charged 64.99 to my card anyway even through I unscribe to them *** * **** you should be able to view a site without being charged and if you unscribe then you shouldn't be charge **** *** ******** * **** ** ** ******* ****** ** **** **** **** **** ******** ************

    We have two toddlers and hello fresh presented a very efficient solution for us to have more time (less time preparing). We also calculated the cost, and it made sense. We got the first box, and we were really happy. The food was great, we loved the recipes, we actually learned quite a bit from the recipes we cooked. Up to this point the company had gained a loyal customer.
    A week later after our first order, we received another box. Although we did not order it, I was excited to open it and see what we had to eat the next week or so. When opening it, it was all meat (pork, chicken, beef). The problem here is that our family is vegetarian. So, I felt frustrated as i went from excited to let down. I sent an email regarding the mistake. We filled out the form on the online platform regarding the wrong order. About 4 days went by and no response. I called today and the customer service's response was "should have read the terms and conditions, it is auto renewal, and you didn't specify veggie on your preference". "So, keep it, we will charge the money, and you can cancel". I believe the biggest problem here with this company is that they are unwilling to keep a customer. I mean i was happy with the first box, i liked the price, and i must likely have continued for the next year. I mean how hard is it to replace the box, send a new one (basically take care of a customer and keep them). But nothing, they had zero interest. like i said to the rep in a very calm manner, " so you rather lose a customer, than help them out? lol Says everything about a company. At the end we give our money for value in return. This company does not care about taking care of you, they want your money. At the end they have a good service, hopefully it works for you. However, if you ever need help or need their assistance. Know that they will not bend for you. Best to choose another company with similar service that will. I mean it's so simple yet means so much more.

    Just like many people saying on here. Was unknowingly charged when glimpsing at the offers. Since I reactivated my account they automatically charged my card and sent to a location that I haven’t lived at in 3 years! Ridiculous customer service washing their hands with the situation saying it’s my fault. ***** **** * **** ********* ** ******** * ***** **** **** **** *****. No wonder HelloFresh isn’t a thing anymore. Horrible experience

    ***** ****** ****** ** **** When you make an account they ask you for your bank details. I immediately changed my mind and cancelled my account but they charged me and never got refunded or even they didn’t compensate. Worse come to worse I found their box after 3 days in lobby full with meat that was gone bad while I wasn’t choosing any food from their website. ********** **** *** ******

    I cancelled my subscription, and I even have an email cancellation confirmation. They reactivated the subscription, and I received a delivery. My card was charged, and they will not reimburse me- even after showing them the confirmation email. I had to cancel my credit card and order a new one to ensure they had no access.

    I have read and understood people's complaints so I want to add in a positive. I find the meals delicious and my kids eat it as well! I do have a standalone house and dont have an issue with the box being left on my front step. The package keeps everything cold. I like that I can choose my upcoming meals and get emails to remind me. If you are planning to pause you def need to be comfortable with the app.
    The holiday box for thanksgiving took a lot of stress off my family and gave us more time to spend together!
    It's not cheap by any means, but it has been amazing for my mental health and introducing my kids to new recipes.
