    I got a notice on Feb 20, 2023 related to violation -vehicle recorded stopped. The notice Numbers is 0684067. I am a **** Driver and i have never stopped to pick up or drop off someone for a long time. I used the line where I am supposed to use. I have come to the AirPort and pick up or dropped off without waiting or stopping my car more than a couple of seconds. I think there is a mistake. I would like you to rewiev your records. Thank you

    Good evening. On the evening of January 23, 2023, I went to pick up my friend at ** ******* Airport in Toronto. I arrived at the airport immediately, but my eyes became dry, so I had to keep using eye drops to restore my eyes. I took a safe spot because I saw a lot of cars there, so I pulled over in the double flash for less than two minutes. As soon as my eyes recovered, I went to A1 to pick up my friend.I received a trespass notice number#******* from Indigo Park for the amount of 85.00 Canadian dollars and. If I do not pay it will increase to the amount of 107.60 Also telling me to pay via on line, and threatening me ,that if I do not pay voluntarily may result information laid against me under Part III of the provincial offences Act I did not intentionally trespass nor park there for few minutes just to Soften my eyes. I didn't have any signs around the parking area that said not to park, and I only had two minutes. You can check out videos or photos they've taken. Looking forward to your reply and solution.

    I attended ****** * ******* airport on November 11, 2022 to pick up a passenger that had arrived. The passenger called me on route and advised that she was at baggage and was making her way out and that terminal was chaotic with passengers and luggage. I attended the arrival terminal and was met with vehicles parked all over the place including live lanes with doors and trunks open. As it was dangerous to stop in a live lane i proceeded further down the terminal and waited while my wife proceeded to locate and assist my passenger with her luggage and to make her way down to my location at the end of the arrival terminal. A month later I received 2 Trespass notices (#******* and #*******) from Indigo Park that indicated damages for prohibited parking? I did contact a representative from Indigo for an explanation and they indicated that I was parked in the roadway leading up to the terminal. I advised that I was not parked in the roadway leading up to the terminal but actually at the terminal waiting for my passenger that was trying to get through the passenger chaos for pick up. There were no signs where I was waiting as I was at the terminal out of the live lanes. I did ask to talk to a supervisor but the call taker said she would drop 1 notice and reduce the other notice if I paid right away. I explained to her that I did not feel I should have to pay anything as I felt that I did follow the process that is in place by the GTAA attending the terminal when my passenger had her bags and was making her way to the pick up area. I was not in a live lane and not parked but waiting in a designated area for passenger pick up. The notices should never have been sent. I am still receiving calls from Indigo requesting payment and I have advised them of my stand and have been advised that there is no recourse.

    I am rejecting this response because: 

    I did attempt to access the portal as stated in the Trespass notice and after entering the required information ie the notice # and the license plate I was informed that the search did not find the infraction or my vehicle, I also still maintain that I was waiting in a safe location  that was in the arrival area waiting for my passenger to make her way through all the passenger and traffic chaos. As the process is to wait to be notified when your passenger is ready for pick up and then attend the arrival pick up area, I did follow the process as required by the GTAA  and should not have been issued these trespass notices. .

    I received notice #******* from Indigo Park dated 2/7/2023 for "Violation - Vehicle Recorded Stopped" on Jan 24 2023 7:37pm at the ******* ******* ************* Airport. We checked the portal and the photos fail to show that my vehicle is stopped or parked or idle. The brake lights are on, but there are many instances where brake lights are on (i.e. when a vehicle is slowing or driving slowly). There is no evidence supporting that I stopped at a no stopping zone, and no parking presentative communicated the alleged violation to me. As indicated on the notice of claim: no officer name indicated to having "certify having personally observed the facts stated in this notice and placed a copy on the vehicle or given the copy to the person responsible for the vehicle." There is no evidence nor witness to support that our vehicle actually stopped at the no stopping zone. The photos show brake lights, but as mentioned before, brake lights can mean slowing down and is not conclusive evidence that the vehicle is stopped. Furthermore, no signage or road warnings/stripes are included in the photos supporting any violation, other than driving alongside the curb. There were no signs indicating it's a prohibited zone, but just a photo of a car and a curb. The photos are inconclusive and do not proof that any offence is being committed (i.e. my vehicle stopped at a no stopping zone". It's absurd to me that anyone can take a random photo of a car and claim whatever violation they deem appropriate, without any proof or evidence of an infraction. When I asked how to dispute this matter, there was no solution provided. * ** *** ********** *** **** *** ** ********** ***** ** ******.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    There is no evidence to support that my car is “STOPPED” there. The photos could only show that my brake lights are on, which is not equivalent to stopping as slowing down also results in the brake lights being on. Also. I don’t see how “clear” it is that there are signs EVERYWHERE when the evidence provided “ie the photos” show zero signs. I read another almost identical posts on BBB, from others who are getting fined with these brake light curb photos. The person got theirs waived as evidence wasn’t sufficient. *** ****** ***************** **** *** ******* ** ***** **** ** **** ***** ***** *** **** ****** ****** ******** ** **** **** ***** ****** ** *** **** ** *** ****** I’m not sure if that’s true, but their situation was almost identical to mine. I do not understand why I am getting fined for braking/ slowing down( not stopping) by the curb. I clearly do not remember stopping by area with signs. I actually parked at the cellphone waiting area to wait for my parents because their flight was delayed. This is just beyond ridiculous. Please kindly assist.

    Hello Sir/Madam,
    I received a trespass notice # ******* last week. The notice date was on Jan 23, 2023 and the Infarction date was Fri Jan 13, 2023 at 9:51pm. I went to the airport with my wife to pick up our son flying from New York airport (***) to Toronto airport (***). His plane originally was supposed to depart from NY at 3:30 pm and would land in Toronto at 5:07pm. Instead, his flight was delayed for more than 3 hours, over and over again throughout the afternoon and into that evening. He messaged us multiple of times, indicating that the flight was delayed from departing at 3:30pm, to 4:05pm, to 4:50pm, to 5:40pm to 6:15pm, to 6:40pm. I am in my 60s in age and I felt anxiously and distracted for the few hours while having to wait for my son's updates before I will start driving to the airport. Finally, I received a message that he boarded the plane that will depart *** at around 7:05pm. The estimated arrival time was at 9pm. We planned the travel time and got to the airport with the expectation to pick him up on time. Instead, he messaged again at 9:22pm, saying that he landed 20 minutes ago and the plane was just sitting on the runway. The airport was extremely busy that night and I decided to leave the airport and would circle back. After driving in circle for the next 20 minutes, I bypassed many cars that were parked on the ramp near the entry to the airport. I mistakenly assumed that was a legal intermediate waiting area for cars. My intention was not to congest my car at the airport until my son was ready to be picked up after his long delay. I would appreciate it if this notice could be reversed because I feel that this was an innocent mistake that I made and this will not happen again.

    I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the parking Claim # ******* that was issued to me on Feb 3/23, at the **** ***** **, Toronto. I was charged $85 for a violation that I do not believe I committed. That day, I drove to pick up food for my mother and my disabled daughter. I was on my way to pick them up from medical procedures. As I approached the parking lot, I left my car on the spot, allowed me to have at least some time for a quick pickup. I got out of my car and tried to leave the garage, but there was no door.After about 10 min of searching, I found the guy who was actually working for the Indigo, and I explained the entire situation to him, telling him that I had gotten lost, couldn't find an exit, needed 5 minutes to pick up some food; where my car was, and disability sign. He helped me find an exit, I finally went outside. Minutes later, I returned to my car and found the ticket. I was so upset. I returned to him and said politely, "Thank you very much for giving me tickets." "Oh, now, did I catch you?" he said I am sorry. I didn't realise it was your car. Yes, you told me that you only needed five minutes. But you can try to appeal. "I can't do anything because the ticket has already been issued."I am the sole carer for my daughter, who is a two open heart surgery survivor, has heart and lung artery conditions, a transplant, and mental disability, and also caring for my 83-year-old mother, who has kidney cancer,dementia, Parkinson. Only source of my income is OW; due to financial hardship I would so appreciate your support and understanding; so shocked and disappointed. I spoke with an Indigo representative, explained my situation, and asked for five minutes of his time, after which I received a ticket. I do not believe that I deserved to be penalized. I believe that I was wrongly accused and that this ticket was issued in error. I would appreciate a prompt response to this complaint and ticket to be cancelled. Thank you.

    Generally, you chose to park a vehicle in a Paid Parking location  (The Parking lot) as this was convenient for you food pick up and did not pay, there are no dispensations.

    I appreciate the time you take for your respond, but I can not accept this. This parking lot was mentioned for puck up from ***** ******, and free. The only they not explained its free after 4 pm. Also, for the person with disability its absolytly NOT convenient, that why even I request the help if Indigo parking  guy , who was on duty that day, it was a real maze to find an exit. He was also the one who said for 5 min its ok to stay. For person with disability it might take a little more time, but still not acceptable that its not what employees explained. I did NOT CHOOSE the pay parking, it was terribly uncomfortable for wheelchair person  , plus due to financial hardship circumstances I am asking for cancelation of this thicket.  Thank you

    You make mention that ***** ****** where not specific with you in your view that Free Parking was after the 4pm time, this is an issue for you to take up with ***** ******.

    Also a mention again that somebody on site that you highlight as an Indigo Parking Guy verbally gave you 5 minutes, Indigo do not staff this location, the only time we have staff on site is when we are making a patrol and checking for validated payments, if at the time of parking and by coincidence you happened to talk with this patroller they as you state verbally gave you 5 minutes and if we look at the time of the notice and time of the ***** ****** receipt you stayed significantly longer than this and realistically at least 5 minutes before and 5 minutes after these times. Even if a patroller had given you an extended 15 or 20 minutes grace you would have still received a notice.

    BBB is not the platform to challenge a ticket, the process is stated on the ticket itself, please use this process and the charge will be reduced to the parking fee applicable on the day, please mention this discussion on BBB when you challenge.

    However in our opinion the ticket was issued correctly for reasons previously stated.

    I am rejecting this response because: I appreciate BBB's support and role as a conduit of communication in finding the best solution. I am not sure why Indigo stated that BBNB is not the platform to resolve this type of issue. 
    Furthermore, I feel that I have to repeat the same things again and again. That day, I talked to the guy. Maybe the Indigo parking attendant could check the video camera and find the meaning of my words, or I could have talked to the patrol officer who was on duty that day and time. I parked my car. I tried to find an exit, but by mistake I went the wrong way by elevator; I could not find the exit or access to the ***** ******. I took Ekevatir back to the parking lot. Than I met with the parking guy, who helped me find the exit; I spoke to him and explained the situation. He helped me find the exit (verbatim); when I got back to the garage, I found the ticket on my car. On the way out of the garage, I saw him again, beyond the parking property. I opened the window and told him, "Thank you for the tic-tac." It's so sad, but I understand that he did his job. But I wish that he would not promise that I can run quickly and get what I need or would tell me that it's impossible and that it's better to leave the car in front of a restaurant maybe. I don't want to blame anyone, but at the same time, due to all those multiple factors and my frustration with my infirmity, I received a ticket. Even then, he apologised and said, "Oh, sorry, did I give you the ticket?" "I am sorry." But, as soon as the ticket is scanned, I cannot do anything but try to contact Indigo and explain the situation. Anyway, this is a principal matter, and I don't understand how it's possible to give an $85 ticket on the private parking lot property when I have already apologised so many times, explained that I got a list, requested and discussed with the staff, and this situation was out of my control; even an Indigo employee could witness that I was not leaving my car for any other reason. He was the one who helped me in the garage. Also, I mentioned that I am receiving only Ontario Works, a financial hardship situation accepted even in court; I am taking care of two people, my mom and my daughter, two people with disabilities, and have no other source of income. I don't know how many times I have to explain and apologise and ask for understanding and excuses for this situation. This has happened to me for the first time, and once again, I am asking for understanding and accepting my apology and asking to cancel this, which is the first and last time this has happened.

    As per the Notice of Trespassing #*******, I have been accused of trespassing on January 13, 2023, at 10:02am, which is $85 penalty or $107.60 if paid after due date, February 11, 2023. My husband went to pick up my son who works at the airport, as he was not feeling well. He usually takes the bus but that day he was sick and was not able to take the bus. My son was on his way to the car and my husband was hardly there for sometime. On 5th February, 2023 I got the Trespass Notice by mail and was shocked he was there just for picking my son in the pickup area.
    On Tuesday, February 7th we called to complain about the notice to the representative from Indigo. They said they cannot do anything and there are no supervisors whom we can speak to and was told to contact them via email and to file my complaint for review. I feel this is unjust and would appreciate any kind of help. My husband is a senior citizen without a job. I kindly ask you to refer to other resources and evidence at your disposal to confirm that this ticket was wrongly issued, and with this, I kindly request that this ticket be rescinded.

    On Jan. 13, 2023, I was driving to the ******* airport terminal 1 arrival around 3pm for my daughter's family returning from LA. She called me on my approaching so I stopped the car at the sideway just before the arrival to take the phone call that she said, the arrival time delayed.

    I never trespassed any property during my 40 years driving in GTA but Trespass notice - Damanages due for prohibited parking, etc. mailed this month.

    I purchased parking at ** ******* ****** ****, starting January 6th, 2022. I had inquired January 10th about picking up my parking pass to no response. When I had further inquired over the phone about picking up my parking pass, I had recieved no information on how to pickup the parking pass that I had payed for. I begun parking in the lot anyways as I was a paying customer that had registered my vehicle. On January 13 I got a parking ticket (#*******) saying I was illegally parked. I continued to contact agent Bedrudin over text and phone to no response. I promptly cancelled the following months parking as I didn't want to continue parking with this garage. On February 6th I was charged for a second months parking even though I had cancelled it.

    My request is simply that I get the Parking ticket I recieved for parking in my paid spot undone, and I recieve my money back for this months parking as I already cancelled it and yet I was still charged.

    I received a trespass notice from INDIGO PARK on Feb 6 saying I parked at prohibited area at ******* airport on Jan 19 2023. The photo (only one) provided as proof was very blurry with bright tail lights and did not show where the car was parked and a sign of no parking. The licence plate (cannot be seen in the photo) was inserted as a separate image. The proof is inconclusive. INDIGO can not drive around to take pictures and send notices asking people to pay. How do they get my personal information. This is against my privacy.
    Appreciate BBB can look into my complaint and help to resolve it. I can provide the notice# when needed.
