    *********************, representing ******** *******, files this complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) against A Team Appliance Repair for deceptive billing, harassment, and unprofessional conduct during a service visit on March 31, 2025, at *********************************************************. We seek BBB intervention under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (*******) to compel remedies for the companys *************. Shirazi contracted A Team Appliance Repair for dishwasher repair, with a confirmed CAD 80 service fee, supported by a recorded phone conversation. On the appointment date, the technician performed no diagnostic or repair work but demanded an unauthorized CAD 380 fee, misrepresenting the agreed terms. The technician also threatened and intimidated Mr. ******* and his family, causing significant distress and constituting harassment. These actions violate sections 14 and 17 of the Consumer Protection Act, prohibiting deceptive representations and unconscionable practices.A formal demand email was sent outlining the misconduct and requesting resolution, but A Team Appliance Repair has shown no genuine effort to address the issue, demonstrating a pattern of consumer exploitation.     The problem occurred on April 1, 2025. The A Team came to repair my Dryer, a Maytag machine that was 8 years old. They told me it needed new rotors and asked for my and service upfront before the work was done. I paid them $476.00. and they had my machine all over the floor. The asked to borrow a shop vac and cleaned the inside. I did not see a new part or the old part left behind. They dropped the front door panel on the floor and put a small dent in the door frame. The did get the machine working and left after putting everything back together. The cleaned some of the dust up and left the rest for me to clean. Fifteen day later the machine was squealing again and I called them back. When they returned they said the machine now needed a bearing kit and they would order it and it should be in in a couple of days. I called to find out when they were returning with the n/c part to fix the squealing which was the exact same noise from the first visit, to find out the no called part was discontinued and the broken machine was my problem and they do not give refunds. I asked for my money back and called to speak to higher up people etc. with no response to fix the problem. I spoke with person named **** and she was of no help they did their best and I was left with a broken machine and no solution from them.

    This company only collect money upfront and no service delivery despite of months following up and false promises that they will refund

    3/10/25 I had a team appliance come in to do a repair on my washing machine that was making a little beep sound. Guy came said was the board he just had to reset it he reset it tested a couple things and left that night. I put a load on andits making an enormous noise now and its worse. Its doing things that wasnt doing before. So I unplugged it and I called the next morning when I called. I talked to a lady and told her the issue and that shes thensaid well then you need to buy this part I was never told I needed a part. The part cost $700. I laughed because I might well go buy a new washing machine. I asked her for the $200 back of the $300 that I paid because he made it worse she refused. She said she has to orderthe part and they can fix it. I refused to order the part. I went out and bought a new washing machine, but still they shouldve been able to give me some money back for the guy fixing it which he didnt fix it he actually made itworse. I do have a video of that.

    This invoice does not have clear diagnosis. The part numbers are not clear and they never provided the cause even if parts not available by manufacturer. The technical evaluation was fake. My tenant whom i didnt authorize was duped to sign. Changing mother board myself after diagnosis bought from used parts online resolved the issue.They seem to be charging for same part service.

    In this recording. Parts can be discontinued was not told. Also I never authorized my tenant to sign on my behalf. Misinterpretation of hiding a vital fact violation as per section 14 of consumer forum act of ontario. This allows me to use section 18 to cancel any approvals made on false incomplete information provided to me verbally but on the invoice.

    There are 2 more followup recordings 

    1 talk to technician where i was not disclosed machine may have parts not available any more and also might not be fixable. There was confirmation of fix.

    2 i never authorized any one to sign on my behalf.

    3 my tenant was duped with false information to sign

    4. Second recording tells on machine cant be fixed.

    5. Parts put on invoice were missing on invoice illegibly written diagnosis is not clear.

    6. The part claimed serviced was replaced by me to fix machine.

    7. This business uses all misleading misinterpretation to unkowingly or knowingly. Both ways section 14 allows me to use section 18 to legally withdraw from agreement.

    I paid an ever high price to repair a dryer. ******. The dryer worked for 2loads. 2 days later the dryer did not work. I called to have someone come back. The company could not have someone come for 2weeks to repair my dryer. I called to see about a new claim and they could have someone come the next day. Then a person stated they had to have the same person back to fix it. I said why cant they take away one of his new claims and put I. My call back. That isnt how they work. I asked if someone could come to fix it and then I was informed that I would have to pay to have someone else come. I was upset with the zero customer service they have. Making customers wait 2 weeks to ********************** a problem after they have fixed something and overcharged.

    Contacted them to fix dryer. They said it was the thermostat and had to order parts. $800 with and they came a week later (after saying 2 days). They came and heater was fixed but technician broke the door (you can see damage on it) and the door doesnt close now so it doesnt work for a different reason. For the new issue that they say we need to pay $350+ tax to fix. I explained this was damage they did - we had no issue with the door on this relatively new machine. They would not give and answer and said I just need to pay. They only take debit and cash. Clearly realizing now it is a scam.

    March 24th the technician replaced the starter to my fridge which they had also replaced about 7 months ago and the same part they replace turns out faulty. Upon collection payment after fixing the fridge the technician said the fridge should be working after 5 hours and even after 5 DAYS its not working. When I give them a call they say its not their problem and that the compressor needs to be repaired. The compressor is a main component of the fridge and it should have been know right upon inspection that it requires repair. They did not tel me that before collecting payment or leaving. I have payed about $900 dollars in total towards my fridge through their company in the past year.

    I hired them to come fix my washing machine leak. They said on the phone it was an $80 charge for inspection. As soon as the tech got there he charged $280 plus tax to inspect and because I needed it fixed I paid. After he looked at it he quoted over 470 dollars for the gasket, an OEM part that cost $132 on *** website. I told him no thanks and I'll fix it myself. Before he left he put my machine back together and didn't go through anything with me, he just left. I didn't sign the invoice saying it was left in good condition. In fact after he left, I checked and noticed he removed several screws from the filter box and he completely stole the boot spring from the machine which would basically ensure a leak that I was trying to fix. I contacted him directly and he claimed he reinstalled that and then promptly hung up on me. I called the company and they refuted my story even though I sent them photo evidence that several parts were missing. They refused to refund me, return the parts or charge me the original quote instead of the insane one I was forced to pay. So I was left with a machine in worse condition than when they got there. I also have no idea if he did any more sabotage inside the machine. I'm not asking for the original quote service fee of $80 plus tax because they did come. I'm asking for the extra difference of $226 from the $316.40 they made me pay. Enclosed are pictures of my invoice which I didn't sign it was left in working order or the tech didn't damage it and you can see the boot spring missing from the gasket.

    My dishwasher broke with error code E24. The technician has visited 3 times during March 2025. The last visit was today March 21st. On the first visit he claimed a certain part was broken and charged me $700. However after allegedly changing the part it was still broken error code E24. Today he returned, claimed to fix it again, ran out the door and 2 minutes later error code E24 again. I called the company and they claimed I need another $600 part which the technician never discussed. He left saying he fixed it. It is obvious this company does not know how to fix the problem and is simply milking me for money based on guessing about the problem. Plus they are unethical saying to your face they fixed it when they are well aware they haven't. I want the money for the part refunded. This business is a scam.
