      On september20th,2022, salesperson from morconnect showed up on my door and she is saying I am from ******** gas. she said she was here to sign up for the program. she did not provided that much details about morconnect. she was telling me I am from ******** so , I was under impression that they are here for my ******** gas connection billing setup as I moved to this place 15 days ago as a tenant. I told that morconnect agent that come tomorrow as I am working right now but she told me that it wont take more than 5 mins.so, I said yes and go ahead and then she gave me the documents to sign and to fill your general information so I filled it out and signed the form as I was under the impression this is for ******** setup account. after that, she told me that she gonna call headoffice and handover to me for confirmation I said no we will do it later as I am busy with my work but she said you don't have to do anything just read my lip and say yes and no as per my actions and she also mentioned the agent will gonna speak fast so read my lips. I had made several calls since that the charges applied by morconnect on my ******** gas are invalid as I was falsely trapped into this 5 year contract and had no intention to avail these services. Now, in order to stop these charges being applied to my bills, they are asking me to sign another form which says that I need to pay another $506.24 on top of$236.76 that I have already been charged. After explaining the situations multiples times over the phone call, but representatives are not ready to understand the situations and they are harassing me to call collection even being in touch with them.

      Since Aug. 02, 2022 an amount ** $33.84 has been debited every month from my account by ****** ****** **** *******. As per the info. on their website, they offer billing services to businesses via ******** gas. I am neither a business owner nor a person having any bills from ******** & I live in a rental apartment. I tried calling them on Jan. 9, 2023 & was told that someone will contact me in 48 hrs. but no-one called me. I called again on Jan. 12 & was told I still have to wait before someone contacts me. So, I wrote an email explaining what has happened. I got a reply saying that they will forward my query to the concerned vendor with whom I have an agreement & customer care will contact me. On January 13 I got an e-mail from a company named morConnect saying that the monthly charge ** $33.84 is per the Carbon Offset agreement entered into on July 20, 2022. When I opened the agreement sent by them I was surprised to see my sign on it but except the sign everything on the form looked suspicious as if my sign had been copy pasted on this form. Upon seeing morConnect's name I recalled that a boy named ***** came to my apt. in July 2022. He said that ******* ***** & ****. ** ******* has mandated morConnect to collect user info. so that a carbon offset payment ($25) can be made via direct deposit to my account. It is in that regard that my bank info. was collected & he asked me to sign a form having different details (the copy ** which was not given to me) than the one in the agreement sent by them to me in January. He also took my number & I got a call from the morConnect where a lady asked if everything explained by ***** has been understood by me & I said "Yes" since he told me that carbon offset money will be deposited to my account & this call is for verification. When I explained this to morConnect, they did not agree & insisted that I had signed the agreement & they have a tele confirmation too. I told them to come to my unit & see if I am utilizing any ** the services which they claim so that any misunderstanding can be cleared but that did not happen too. Now, they are asking for a payment ** $424 + HST to cancel the agreement which is unacceptable to me as I have been cheated & there is clear forgery at play.

      I am rejecting this response because: I am questioning the enrollment process itself which is claimed to be documented. The enrollment was done on the pretext ** providing a carbon offset credit every month and instead they are debiting the same from my account every month. Even my signature has been copy pasted as this is not the form that I signed and the telephone agreement is also forged since I did not say YES to what they claim. Also, I reiterate that I am not using any service offered by the said company and still paid for this for 6 months and when I figured this out and complained, they are asking for $424 + HST more to cancel this.       I am rejecting this response because: I have explained in full from the start till today as to what had happened and how. In my description ** the full case it has been properly addressed as to how the information that you say is on your file reached you. I still insist to visit my unit and check if I am actually using any service ** yours or not. Also, there are no circumstances on my end that will actually require me to buy any ** your service (since I live in a rental apartment). I insist that the contract be cancelled at the earliest with no charge to me as your company had been debiting my account monthly ** $33.84 since August 2022. I have already lost $203.04. If I had kept a keen eye on my debit account back then then I would have contacted you immediately for the cancellation.

      This company misrepresented itself when it sent an unsolicited representative to my home onNovember2, 2022. The representative said he was from ******** Gas and wanted to ascertain if I was being overcharged on my bill and receiving my carbon rebates. He had an ******** tag on his shirt. Hesaid that if I showed him my recent ******** gas bill, he could determine if I was entitled to carbon rebates. Upon showing him the bill, he wrote down my account number on a form, he did not show to us, and did not ask us to sign anything as he said ******** had this information already. He said I was entitled to carbon rebates which would be credited to my ******** account. Believing that he was indeed an ******** representative, I agreed to receive the carbon rebate. I did not agree to any HVAC 'services' and DID NOT sign a contract. This representative also had another supposed ******** representative on speakerphone, whose voice was terribly muffled. The in person representative kept talking over her. We only agreed to receiving the carbon rebates.

      No written contract has been provided by the company until January 18, 2023 when they responded to my complaint. When I looked at my gas bill yesterday, I noticed that this company had tacked on several charges related to carbon and heating/cooling services I never signed up for nor were delivered to my home. This was an HVAC company disguising/misrepresenting itself as a legitimate company. Furthermore, this company forged my signature on the contract they provided. I have proof.

      Because the representative misrepresented themselves as ******** Gas. I did not sign anything. Please see attached for my actual signature. I did not receive this contract until last week.

      Look at the attachments I submitted. The signatures clearly do not match. Thus, this contract is legally void and null. The representative forged my signature while they misrepresented who they are.

      I want to file a complaint against MorConnect. On November 29, 2022, a girl named ******* knocked on my door. She claimed to be an employee of MorConnect and told me that we were overcharged for our electricity bill and she needs me to sign some paper as we will be refunded 25$ for every month for coming six months. I told her my brother takes care of utilities so I don’t have any knowledge. She reassured me its just the refund. I signed some paper and gave her my email and direct deposit form. Then she made me say yes to the answers on an automated call. On January 3rd I was charged a sum of around $80. I called them and they said I signed some contract with them.I demanded the contract as I never got any email or mail regarding such agreement before. She sent me documents which I will attach with this email. I requested them to cancel the agreement but the lady on the call said I have to pay them $464 to terminate the agreement. I explained them I am trying really hard to meet my both ends and I cannot afford but my all efforts went into vain. I request you to please cancel this agreement.

      I had a salesmen from morconnect come to my door and promised a 25 dollar rebate and taking care of my hydro bill every month for 35 dollars a month. After taking my banking information and making me take a werid call where I had to answer yes to a bunch of questions the salesmen left. I called there head office to get information but could not get thru, the salesmen then called me back and I told them I was not interested and agreed that my paper work would not be filed (they gave me no paperwork or receipts of this). Since then I have been charged twice and my hydro bill continues to come in every month and everytime I get ahold of them I never get clear answers when I have told them that I am not interested in this. I feel stupid that I fell for this because it is clearly a scam after reading reviews online, I have tried making stop payments after they charged me the first time but they recently were able to take out another payment, I would just like this resolved where they are no longer to take money from myself or other households.

      I had employee of MorConnect show up at my door, telling me that I will receive a $25 rebate every month This Rep stated they were helping home owners to offset the energy bill by providing credits. He said that you will get a credit on your energy bill. And they never explain how long this contract will last. I was misled by the salesman and taken advantaged of. I am very appalled by their actions just to gain business. Now they are charging me $33.84 per month in the name of carbon offset. When I advised in writing my wish to cancel they told me I had to pay them $456 for cancellation per the signed contract which I never received.

      On dec 19 two people came to my door claiming they are from enbrdige and ask me if i am getting more bills from ********. I agree and she asked me to show my bill. i showed my gas bill in phone. She started talking to me about how other people are also complaining. She said that i will get $25 reward from company and then i will get only charged $40 for gas bill from january. She make me sign a contract and also make me talk to another lady over the phone and make me saying yes to all questions over the phone. She never give me yellow copy of contract. I also gave my void check copy. After they left i relized that something is not right. So i called my neighbour she told me its a scam. I immediately call my bank and froze my account and next day i closed my account before they charge me anything. But the thing is signed a contract with them. This month i realized my gas bill is almost double not sure if this is because of that company named morconnect. I filed a complaint to ******** but didnt hear from them yet. Please help me to come out of this contract without any penalty. Once i get hold of ******** i will file police complaint against this company.

      I am rejecting this response because moreconnect emplyees lied to me that they are from ******** and they are pffering refund for excessive bills. They didnt present themselves as employees from moreconnect. They didnt inform about any carbon offset program which i am not even aware of what it is. They misinterpreted the information and make me sign on a document by saying that this is from ********. If i genuinely sign this carbon offset program why they didnt left any copy for me . They took everything. I reported to police about the incident and i will follow up with credit bureau as well. U guys are lying to people to sell ur products. I didnt get any carbon offset program or anything i just signed because i thought they are telling truth that they are from ********. So you should cancel this contract without any penalty. 

      I am responding in response to your answer that i received from the company against which i am complaining. I forgot to  mention couple of things. As per their reply they said i signed up for carbon offset program with them. If i genuinely signed up with them the. why would i complaint to ********. Please find the attached email that i wrote to ******** after that and why would i close my bank account if i genuinely signed with them. I am requesting you guys that there are many people complaining about the same incident why these people are still in business. I didnt comlain about this before because i didnt know where to complain. After this incident i went to police and they said advise to close bank account and follow up with ********. Why i was saying about high gas bill because i was reading other people complaints and they were saying they got charged by third party on their utility bill.  so when my gas bill came high i got alert again may be its because of the contract that i signed. So i follow up with ********. They never left any copy not any email and they didnt even put any appliance or anything for this stupid carbon offsetting program so how they are claiming that i got service from them. You people should understand by know that this company is misleading people by using other companies name because its otherwise impossible for these people to sell their products. I am not going to pay penny to these fake people. 
      Please forward this to that company as well. I want them to email me the copy of contract or any proof that they give any  equipment in my house for that carbon offset program. 
      They have to cancel this contract without any penalty because they are lying.

      I am rejecting this response your employees presented themselves as employees from ********. They fooled me they made me signed by saying they are from ******** and they are doing this paperwork for refund for gas bill. I was distracted by my infant and toddler and you employees were very smart they kept me busy in talking and didnt let me read me papers and look i am not the only one your company is fooling people on the name of other companies which is very shameful for you people. Do u have any proof of any equipment that your employees installed in my house what services did they provide? 

      I am not lying if am lying why would i wrote email to ******** after i figured it out that i got scammed. Please find the attached email .       The sales person did not leave the yellow papers with the fine print. She took advantage of the fact that I was trying to chase around and feed a toddler while she was talking. I looked up and saw that this has happened to others and that there are hidden fees not mentioned in their pitch. I want to cancel any and all services before the cooldown period ends.

      On Nov 21, 2022 , a representative came to my home and informed that he is from Morconnect on behalf of ******** and they are going door to door and wants to check my previous bills if I’m paying too much for our gas. He advised that I am getting over charged for per unit of gas consumed and hence they will provide me a monthly rebate of $25. He also said that I qualify for upgrades of thermostat and smoke detectors for free of charge. He arranged a call back from his company assuring his claim. The person who answered the call also assured me that there are no charges and that I should say "Yes" to every question asked by representative. I trust ******** so I said "Yes" over the phone because he kept takling and pressuring me. I did what he said because he misrepresented himself in ******** uniform and showed fake ID Card. At that time I wasn't informed that I signed a lease agreement for 10 years and a copy of the agreement was never given to me. To get the refund of the overcharged gas bill and rebate for the new products, he asked my Account number and personal details to be written on the document that he had. They made an appointment to install the products. Between the sales rep visit and installation we made several calls to Morconnect and sales rep to confirm that there are no charges and time and again we were assured that there were none. On my next gas bill I have received $25 carbon offset refund. But on January 3rd I got 56.27 debited from my bank account. I then enquired with my bank and they told me it's charged by 3rd party called as Flow RLS. In the meantime I contacted MorConnect directly for refund. They told me that I am in agreement with them for 120 months for 49.80 + HST per month. I also mentioned to Morconnect that their rep told me that there was no charge for these products and requested them to cancel the contract. Morconnect informed us that if I want to terminate the contract we can buy it out at 60 months for $2900 plus HST.

As clearly communicated to business that it is a case of misrepresentation from their sales representative with intention of deceit and further charging such extreme amount for cancellation of contract is totally unreasonable and unfair. Please take back the installed products or cancel the contract with a reasonable cost of products.

      On June 14 one of the morConnect sales representative name: ***** ****** ID-A51003 misinformed and scammed me for Carbon offset rebate program that would lower down my Gas bill as I was getting overcharged on my gas bill. I was mislead and wrong information was shared about the product to sign up.
      I now see an extra charge of $33.84 that is showing up on My Gas Bill in the name of carbon offset rather than lowering my Bill. This act was just to gain monthly business.
      I have called there customer service 1-888-8800480 and asked them to cancel this service and refund my money. and explained them that there sales representative have mislead me in signing up the service. However they are asking for $400 plus to cancel the service which I never agreed for on top my Gas bill and If I don’t pay they are threatening to send to collections.
      These guys should not be in business as they are just trying to get a monthly amount from Gas account. Please help me in stop and cancellation of service and getting my money back which being charged $33.84/month for last 6 months (June 2021 onward)

He stated, Instead of getting charge for natiral gas $43+/month  I would be charged $33/month. Now i am getting $33/month  extra on top of my ******** bill. I happened to see the bill this month and realized, this is not that was stated by the sales person and he made us signed a contract that is not true to what MorConnect Sales person described.

      I reject moreConnect offer and ask them to cancel this service with out any cancellation charges and refud my 6 month of charges back minus there $25 credit they have initially given. I donot intend to stay wit* *cammers. They are using unethical way to gain business from clients.

      As stated earlier – morconnect representative has falsely stated
      the facts to me that is not there in the contract. I donot agree !! with the resolution - you have to cancel the account and stop billing my ******** Bill. I have disputed your name in ******** Bill as well. I hope you take some action rather than just sending reply back and forth.
