I opened a Regions Bank checking account thru bonus offer on June 18th 2024 and made 3 direct deposits more than $1000 and met the requirement of $400 direct deposit bonus. I called the region's bank and they told me I have met the requirements and the direct deposit bonus of $400 will be credited by July 20 2024 but till now it's not credited to my account. So, I request to credit the direct deposit bonus offer of $400 at the earliest.Business Response

I contacted customer service as I feel that the bank made an error in charging me two overdraft fees. Money is tight right now and we are doing all we can to barely get by. I had two charges come out of my account on 7/22. I had a grace ****** to get the money deposited to cover them so I deposited the money on 7/23. On 7/23 I had two more come out and I had 24 hour grace ****** to get money deposited to cover those (or so I thought) I was told that because they came out on 7/23 I was not given a 24 hour grace ****** for those which makes no sense. The bank would not work with me at all (the online chat would not listen to my issue and just kept saying sorry) I have been a customer for almost 20 years and to be treated this way is absolutely horrible. If this money is not refunded to me I will be closing my account and going elsewhere.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
I do see a refund for the overdraft fee. I will be closing my account and taking my business elsewhere since it has not been resolved. Banks like Regions are nothing but crooks taking money from hardworking people that are struggling to get by with the horrible economy all while they are making money off those hardworking people.
Sincerely,

May 2024 we notified Regions bank by phone that we filed bankruptcy. We have continued to receive phone calls asking to collect this debt. We had a loan, line of credit & credit card with Regions. As well as ******************* We are in process of moving accounts. It has been difficult to move my auto insurance, so we have been continuing to have it auto debited out of our Regions Bank Checking account. We have not had any issues with this until now.7/15/24 I put enough money in the account to pay the insurance bill. 7/16/2024 the day the insurance payment was supposed to come out, Regions took out $650.36 and paid it on loan bills for them. These were not authorized payments. This money was specifically put in that account to pay a bill. Our car has an active insurance claim, we cannot miss a payment. This is unethical and unfair to do.I called multiple times and spoke with a few of their collection agents. They all gave me the same script, we are allowed to collect recourse on our clients.I get it. BUT, I am filing CH 13 bankruptcy. Regions will get paid. Then they said I do not have a claim number yet, that is why they could do this. We are following our attorneys direction. We were told as soon as we filed with her, we could discontinue our payments. This allows us to pay for the attorney that is over $4k.We are middle class hard workers that are drowning in this current economy. What regions did was wrong. They should not be able to take our money without notice. This is a very large payment. This has put us in a very difficult and embarrassing situation. We are asking our funds to be returned so we can pay our bills.I have called & begged for them to return the funds. They have said to me they do not have to speak to our attorney. They are within their rights. What about my rights? They are unkind. ****. Degrading. Taking a already horrible situation and making it unbearable.Business Response

I recently opened an introductory checking account with **********************, lured by their advertised bonus of $400 upon making a direct deposit of $1,000. Despite meeting the requirement, the bonus has yet to be deposited into my account. This delay has caused me significant frustration as I had planned to use that bonus for essential expenses.Given the lack of response from Regions Bank, I have taken the step of filing a formal complaint with The **************** of ******** My hope is that the authorities will address the situation and ensure that Regions Bank honors their promotional commitments. The absence of this bonus and the lack of clear communication from the bank has undermined my trust in their services. This situation highlights a concerning issue of false advertising and a failure to abide by their own terms of service. Regions Banks promotional offer was a key factor in my decision to open an account, and their failure to deliver on this promise is unacceptable. I urge others who might be considering banking with Regions to be cautious and to ensure they receive all promised benefits in a timely manner.Business Response

I set up an account at ********************** to hold a security deposit for a tenant. We have numerous of these accounts at **********************. This one was set up incorrectly and is charging eight dollars a month. The tenant was there for six years, so I only discovered these fees when I went to refund their security deposit..The amount total $180. Regions bank told me it was my fault for not letting them know earlier. I explained this account has never been used. No money goes in or out of it so I never look at this account. Theres no statement that arrives in the mail.Of course, if I had known it was set up, I would have changed it. Regions bank time or effort because theres no transactions for six years or the duration of the tenants stay.I dont like the fact that because it was set up wrong the bank blames me. And I dont like it that they claim their computers only go back six months when I can show her on my phone while shes at her desk that theyve charged me six years and ****** never answered my emails when I ask where the refund was.I cannot give you full account number other than 889 I have no checks for this account.Business Response

On 7/17/2024 I was notified by email that my mailing address, email address, and phone number to my Regions account had been changed. The email showed an address in *********. I called the fraud department who told me that someone walked into a branch in ********* and changed the address to my account through a ********************** representative. I put a hold on the account, but when I attempted to have the fraudulent information changed, I was informed that I had to go to a Regions branch in person (I live in ** and there are NONE) in order to change the information and that there was nothing they could do to remove the fraudulent information from my account. No explanation as to HOW this person was able to change all of the information in the first place.Business Response

Regions Bank uses Fiserv as a third-party for Online Bill **** For some unknown reason, two of my payments made via my online bill pay were returned with the explanation "account frozen at bank". My account was never frozen. In fact, I could access all functions of my online banking except for my online bill pay. On Monday, 7/15/24 I started making phone calls. I made a total of TWENTY-SIX (26) phone calls, all of which were either Regions or Fiserv. (Regions kept sending me to Fiserv; ****** kept sending me to Regions) I took the time out of my day to drive to downtown ******** to go to the local branch. The customer service person, ***, tried to help by making more phone calls. No action taken to correct this problem otherwise. I was told she would work on it that afternoon. I rec'd a call from her at 4:30 that the problem had not been resolved, and she said she would work on in the first thing in the morning, which would have been Tues 7/16/24. Wed, 7/17/24 the problem is still not resolved. I contacted *** at the local Regions bank, who assures me she'll work on. (I had no faith that she would make it a priority to resolve this problem.. So I made more phone calls, of which I recorded this time). I finally reached a supervisor with Regions in the electronic bill pay **** who actually made the phone call to ****** and was told, "oh, she doesn't owe us any money. her bill pay should not be restricted." THE PROBLEM WAS FINALLY RESOLVED! It cost me the return fees for the payments returned in error. As well as EIGHT SOLID HOURS (8) of my time because NO ONE WITH REGIONS WOULD GET OFF THEIR **** TO FOLLOW THRU AND RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. I am owed a total of $740.00 from Regions Bank. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND BANK SOMEWHERE OTHER THAN REGIONS BANK!! ALSO, I was given a number for Fiserv by a supervisor at Regions (another pass the buck)of ************ which is a SCAM NUMBER.If you ****** the number it comes up Fiserv. If you call it, you get SCAMMEDBusiness Response

I recently tried to transfer electronically $2000 from my Regions checking acct. to an acct. of mine at ****************. The balance in the checking acct. was many time higher than the $2000. I have been a Regions customer for decades; my account is always in order; more credit rating is impeccable (ca. 820).Nevertheless a week-long hold was placed on the transfer, which I only learned about after a "what's up" phone call. No reason was given. Why am I not .allowed to withdraw my own money?Business Response

In an attempt to collect a debt this business contacted a family member several times after I repeatedly called them and asked them not to. I do not live with or near the family member as I explained to them and this family member is not a reference nor do they have a financial obligation to the loan. The person they repeatedly contacted after I repeatedly asked them not to suffers from a severe mental disability and instability. This person has been in and out of mental institutions and has a violent history. Since they have persisted to contact them even after being asked to stop my safety has now been compromised along with my privacy. I ask that they only contact me, the loan holder, going forward and to never contact that person again.Business Response
