      RUN RUN. RUN! Trawick, who's underwriter was Nationwide Ins, are a bunch of crooks. My wife and I took a trip to ****** in July of 2022. The first full day of fun and sun resulted in a bad sunburn for me. It was bad enough to where my trip was over. I called Trawick about my situation and they said I had to see a Doctor in ****** to file my trip interruption claim. I did, and rescheduled the flight home. The very next day after I got home, I had Covid. Good thing I didn't have to use my medical evacuation part of the insurance!. I filed a $2613.90 claim, plus I was to receive and additional 25% since the trip was interrupted. They wanted to pay me $1500.37 and said a check was in the mail. I never received the check!. After I reviewed the new trip expenses, it was actually $2438.40 plus the 25%, would be $3048.00. They decided through their voodoo, that I was only entitled to around $578.00 of a $2500 trip. Within the next 2 weeks I will bring a suit against Trawick and Nationwide Ins in court. Do yourself a favor and pay twice as much for REAL insurance. Btw, my claim number was ******

      DO NOT PURCHASE!We were on a remote island in **************** when a cyclone developed, forcing us to leave the resort and island for the main island of ******.Lost money on hotels **** and had to purchase flight home on another airline. Straight forward claim for 2 hotel stays and 2 flights in order to safely return home.After SIX WEEKS and numerous calls/emails to CBP (handles Trawick's claims) , they denied the claim.A ridiculous amount of time to process and a bunch of unacceptable excuses for not paying the claim. NEVER use Trawick!

Please note that this query was sent to Trawick International vs. Co-Ordinated Benefit Plans. As the claims administrator for the Plan the customer purchased, we appreciate the opportunity to respond to Mr. ******** concerns. The member purchased the Safe Travels Voyager Plan in connection with a January 16 February 9, 2024, trip to Tahiti. In reviewing the claim, the trip was interrupted due to a cyclone that was scheduled to pass near the private island of the resort the member was scheduled to stay between February 5 -6, 2024. Due to concerns of flight availability and the possibility of the scheduled boat transfers being not operational due to high seas, the member chose to leave the scheduled accommodations early and return home. The claim requested Trip Interruption benefits totaling $8,388.01. The Trip Interruption provisions of the Plan the member purchased includes coverage in the event a scheduled common carrier has a complete cessation of services due to weather; unfortunately, the members flights flew as scheduled and there is no indication that the members scheduled boat transfer did not operate on February 8, 2024, due to weather. Additionally, while there is coverage if a trip is interrupted due to a natural disaster that causes the scheduled accommodations to be uninhabitable or if there is a mandatory evacuation due to a natural disaster; neither provision applied to the customers claim. For this reason, it is our position that this claim was not eligible for benefits. A detailed letter explaining our position will be sent to the member directly.We are sorry that benefits were found not to be payable in this case, but we hope this is responsive to the customers concerns.       Total Scam , They deny all claims for any small reason they can find. If you have a pre existing condition like diabetese /thyroid ,be causious you will end up with thousands of dollars of medical bill because they deny everything and somehow manage to link everything to your previusly existing condition. Once they denied a claim because the the doctor refilled my Thyroid prescription in an appointment where I went to treat a cyst.

      My crown fell off a natural tooth and had to be recemented. They denied this $100 claim due to coverage only on 'natural teeth'. If they behave like this over $100 I wouldn't trust them with more serious conditions.

      So far they are awful. Been trying to get what was promised with this coverage. They never follow thru, tired of calling and get no action. They promise the moon but do not deliver

      One sorry insurance company. I have been trying to get back $832.00 since 4-13-2023. I have called them once a week everweek since April. I sent in a claim form where the Dr. had signed the form with ********** and I could't travel. I have sent all the Information that I have and they said I need to send more info. I have sent it at least 6-7 times with no result. I'm am so tired of the fighting with this Company.

      bought health insurance for a traveler to the **. on a trip she broke her arm (slipped on ice). health provider billed over $40 000 for their services (the bone was displaced and needed a surgery to install a plate). insurance paid off ~ $1000 out of that 40k. this is so ridiculous that I'm laughing out loud. the customer paid for the plan more than was reimbursed following the very common type of accident (the trauma nurse said that they have a lot of patients come in with the same type of injury during that type of weather).never, never, never again.

      Ended up in the hospital January with a DVT. Had surgery to remove it. Dr. ******* against flying until some genetic testing to see if I was likely to get another. Canceled February trip. Submitted, resubmitted everything asked for. Six months later, after all the hoops, the say the Dr. Had to PROHIBIT travel. What Dr. does that. I have to take work off and pay for a non medical Dr's visit if I can locate her. Thoroughly disgusted with entire process. Have read other reviews where they string you along for months until you give up. Huge waste of money and time.

      Unfortunately I did not read the BBB reviews on Trawick International travel insurance.. This was supposed to be a trip to the Holy Land with my local priest and church parishioners. I did not think they would be involved with a company that was a scam. I am almost 80 years old and purchased travel insurance with "Cancel for any reason". I contacted ******************* on April 1, 2023 to inform them that I had to cancel my trip. ******************* copied me on a letter to Trawick International stating that they confirmed and authorized a refund claim for me. They stated that this was paid via their registration website and that I had not received a refund. They advised Trawick to "please proceed with her reimbursement".I have tried to contact them by telephone and website. They give you the run around and make it as hard as possible to file a claim. The website says there is an error and try again later - I've been trying with the same results. I've tried calling and was disconnected after holding for some time. I have spent hours and hours trying to get someone to respond and I simply cannot keep this up. It seems that they try to make it as hard as possible in the hopes that you will get so frustrated that you will give up.I'm sure there are other travel insurance companies that are much more credible and easier to deal with. In the future, I will do my due diligence before paying any money.

      Worst experience ever. Never contact this company for travel insurance.I contacted them for a lab bill which came in February.Its now been 3 months and they finally got back to me with EOB indicating expenses that have already been paid.Secondly even though the deductible has been met they are contacting me for expenses.Their emailing department seems to be located elsewhere and does not seem to read the email properly.The people on the phone are from a different department and have no idea what has been emailed.I have had 4 different responses each time I have called.
