    We appreciate the consumer, ************************* for contacting AmSher through the BBB Portal.  In the complaint, the consumer claims he is not liable for the account with Spectrum and he was not provided with the original contract as previously requested. 
    AmShers research and review is showing the account was recalled by our client, Charter Communications.  AmSher closed and returned the account to Charter and as requested by *************************, AmSher had already submitted the account to be removed from the credit reports on 5/18/23,allowing up to sixty (60) days for each of the credit bureaus to update.   Thank you for allowing AmSher an opportunity to address the consumers concerns. Please note, all future inquiries as it relates to this account should be sent directly to Charter Communications.

    I got a collection notice from this company stating i owed money to ******* Communications LLC which trades as Spectrum.This notice was sent to an address i havent lived at for 2.5 years and was post forwarded to me. I have never received anything prior to this.. I have also had the same Spectrum account at my new address up until a few months ago.At no time has Spectrum ever approached me for any outstanding monies and all equipment was returned when i changed providers.AmSher were not interersted in the fact i dont owe anything to anyone and were insistent i paid them. I contacted Spectrum and they had made a mistake and rectified it on their end. My complaint is about AmSher not wanting to listen and demanding i paid something i didnt owe in the first place.. As it turned out Spectrum actually owes me money.AmSher need to be less aggressive in trying to collect and listen to people they are accusing of owing money.

    On March 30th 2023 I sent Amsher Collections a letter stating that I would like to make a settlement with a promised pay to delete from my account. It has now been 30 days and I have yet to receive a response from them. I don't know what is going on in that office but how do you expect to get an agreement between me and Amsher if they aren't even responding letters that have been sent.

    I checked my consumer report and found a COLLECTION from AMSHER COLLECTION SERVICE that was OPENED on 10/06/2022 ACCOUNT# ******** in the Amount of $533.00 that I do not recall and I'm not reliable for! I've never entered into a signed agreement or contract with them! This INACCURATE COLLECTION is not mine and I would like it removed and for all COLLECTION activity to cease!

    Collection services - no way to reach anyone at their office; no one answers phone. Their email address is bogus - will not accept emails. Their 205 area code phone is not working.I just want to pay my bill and do not know how...

    I am not aware of this account. I have reached out to 3 Bureaus and AWA ********************** to have this account removed from my file and they are always saying the same excuse, which is no longer acceptable. I have filed an FTC complaint because I believed this is an outcome of Identity Theft. Regardless of all actions done on my end, there was no action from 3 Bureaus. Thus, I am reaching out to seek assistance to have AWA ********************** confirm that I have no account with them and Equifax and Transunion Bureaus can simply remove it from my credit report.

    We appreciate the consumer, ******************** for contacting AmSher through the BBB Portal.  In his complaint, the consumer claims he is not aware of this account and filed an FTC complaint because he believes this may be the outcome of identity theft.  The consumer is also seeking assistance from AmSher for confirmation of the validity of the debt owed, so the account can be removed from his credit reports. 
    We have forwarded the validation statements to support the validity of the remaining amount owed to the BBB site.  Upon receipt of ******* Communications review and the attached statements, provided by *******, research shows the account was activated on 12/22/2009, in the billing name, **************************************   The last payment $171.66 was received on 2/15/22, leaving $118.00 for unreturned equipment.  Please note, there were two (2) items of equipment to be returned @ $59.00 each and only one of the two items is showing returned on 2/15/22.  The final billing statements were mailed to the same address as referenced on the BBB complaint form but went unpaid thereafter. ******* credited the account in the amount of -$59.00, leaving the remaining balance of $59.00 which is valid for one (1) item of unreturned equipment, due back in the month of February 2022, and is still owed by the responsible party, Mr. ************************************** We encourage the consumer to contact AmSher to establish repayment of the debt.  Our office can be reached at **************.
    As requested by the consumer, AmSher submitted the account for deletion from Mr. ************** reports.  Please allow up to sixty (60) days for each of the credit bureaus to update.   Thank you for allowing AmSher an opportunity to address the consumers concerns.34465167

    Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to file a formal complaint against Amsher Collection Services regarding their unethical and predatory business practices. Amsher Collection Services has engaged in multiple violations of consumer protection laws, including but not limited to harassment, misrepresentation, and unfair debt collection practices.I have personally experienced the egregious actions of Amsher Collection Services, who have threatened me with counter lawsuits and hung up on me multiple times. They have also failed to provide me with any documentation or proof of the debt they claim I owe, and have refused to validate the debt despite my repeated requests.Moreover, Amsher Collection Services has reported this debt to the credit bureaus without notifying me, damaging my credit score and preventing me from obtaining housing and credit. Their actions have caused me significant emotional distress and financial harm.I demand that the Better Business Bureau take immediate action against Amsher Collection Services for their unethical and predatory practices.     We appreciate the consumer, **************, for contacting AmSher through the BBB Portal.  In his complaint, the consumer disputes the ******** account showing on his personal credit reports, because it is preventing him from obtaining housing and other credit.  The consumer also claims he has not been provided with any documentation of proof of the debt.  Overall, the consumer requests verification of the validity of the debt and would like the account removed from his credit reports. 
    AmShers review is showing, on 4/21/23, a cease and desist was placed on the account.  Please note, the account has been recalled and all future payments and inquiries, as it relates to this account, should be sent directly to ********.  AmSher closed and returned the account to our client, ********.  As requested by Mr. ************************** AmSher had already submitted the account to be removed from his credit reports, allowing up to sixty (60) days for each of the credit bureaus to update.   Thank you for allowing AmSher an opportunity to address the consumers issues and concerns.
