This company provides trash service to **; however, they routinely do not pick up trash on the correct day and frequently miss picking up the trash at all. Frequent calls have produced no results.Business Response

***************** is partially correct about the inconsistent services at the beginning of 2023. She was notified that the trash trucks were running behind. Her scheduled service day is every Tuesday. However, due to either mechanical issues and or lack of manpower, the trash pick-up has been delayed by one or two days. ***************** was not happy with the response from the customer service agents and demanded to speak with a supervisor immediately. The supervisor was not available at the time, but informed ***************** they would give the supervisor her contact information.
Our records show ***************** made her first complaint about the services with AMWASTE 01/24/2023 at 12:53 pm EST.
Resolution: Going forward for the next few weeks, we will have the driver sign-off the time and date ***************** at *************************************************** is serviced.

A $9.00 credit was applied to Mr. ***** ********************* account for the missed pick up. After further investigation, found the driver was not completing the route per company standards. That driver is no longer with the company. The route supervisor is personally training a new driver to take over the route on which the ******** reside.
I personally called and spoke with **************** 02/14/2023 apologizing for the issues and what actions are in place to resolve this matter and to provide the services expected going forward.

I am rejecting this response because:I understand they have adjusted now but I feel I am due a refund because I have been asking for 2 months and getting nowhere and paying a bill. Then in the three months they have the time I have to call because they forget or street and have to get them to come back out. I don't feel I am getting the service I am paying for. When you call about it, they give you an excuse the have too much and can't keep up.

I noted that payment 'minus 2 services (holiday weeks)'. Paying Amwaste *****. I divided the ***** bill by 12 as your services cover 3 months. I deducted $ **** for each wk we didn't receive service. It looks like the next bill we get will also be short paid. The week of January 1, 2023, we didn't get our garbage picked up either. And as of this week, it's Thursday and no one has picked up our garbage, but, then it's a holiday week we may not get service.We've put 2 garbage cans out this week. Our garbage has piled up because of the lack of service. Hopefully the garbage persons will pick up both cans, as we normally have only 1 can.I pay what I owe. Our account was supose to be set up on auto pay. It even showed my account info in their system. Somehow they had an issue and it was set up (by their person) correctly and it didn't go through. I was not contacted to be aware of this issue. They came to my house on my pick up day and took their trash can. But they also took my personal can even though they show that I only had 1 can with them. I called to find out what happened and when they told me inpaid the bill. They told me it would be a few days before they would return then 1 can and they would try to get me a new personal one. It has been 2 weeks now and they have not returned either. I have called several times and they just say they don't know when it will be. I have had to pay additional money to go to the dump because 2 of their reps said I couldn't put bags by the road. I have also been on a list for management to call me for 2 days now but somehow they can't seem to make the time either. They are not willing to prorate my bill or even adjust due to the extra money I have had to spend for their computer error and continue to disregard my complaint of not returning their can and my personal property as well. I subscribe to yard debris service offered by Amwaste Alabama and promptly pay all bills for their services. I requested yard debris pickup beginning on December 2, 2022 for ***************** I had trimmed and placed beside the road for pickup. I subsequently called them 4 additional times - Dec. 7, Dec. 9, Dec. 14, and Dec. 19, 2022. Around January 8, 2023 I submitted an online request with Amwaste ******* which was assigned case #*****. Following that request submission, I also followed up with a request to the Jefferson County, ** for assistance. The yard debris remains where I placed it on Dec. 2, 2022. I prepay Amwaste ******* for garbage and yard debris pickup and am at **** end to get them to provide the service for which I have prepaid. Any assistance you can offer to get Amwaste ******* to perform this yard debris pickup will be greatly appreciated. I also have an area of my yard where the grass was killed from a previous yard debris pickup request which Amwaste ******* ignored for over 4 weeks. Amwaste has repeatedly not provided the yard waste service I pay extra for. This is a regular occurrence and I have to reach out to Amwaste Support and Managers to get a pickup scheduled when my yard waste is missed on my regular pickup day. However, at times the Amwaste Support Team and Managers are completely unresponsive via phone and email. I have recently been reaching out (with no response) with consistent emails reporting missed pickup for nearly 10 weeks. I made it clear I want the pickup completed and I want my account credited for each week this was missed. My communication has been completely ignored. 9.5 weeks in I receive a response that my missed pickup will be gathered soon. But the team refuses to respond to my request for a credit for each week of missed pickup. At this point, Amwaste is stealing from their customers and must be held accountable.Business Response

I have placed trash out beside the street at the end of November. I called Advance Disposal and asked when should I expect it to be picked up. The person said that they pick up every Friday. It is still there today 01/03/23. This is what happens every time so far. This is the company that I pay to collect household garbage and trash. Since we have no other choice available to us it seems that Advance Disposal operates how ever they want to and customer satisfaction is a very low priority for them. Whoever put this bunch on the job needs to get someone else.Business Response

No trash pickup for two weeks. First week was just our trash. Said can was too close to the car and couldn't reach with claw. God forbid they should have to get out of the truck. Second week (Christmas) they picked up no ones trash on our street. Called both times and they promised to send out a truck but did not. Our pick up day was Monday and this is Thursday. Amwaste is the company that our city has used for the past few years. When I moved to the city in July, it took 8 weeks for us to get our trash can. I called several times, as did the waste management department in our city. Pickup has been missed multiple times. Our city has recently decided to go to switch to a different company because of all the issues Amwaste has been given. The new company is to take over in January, and Amwaste has decided to stop picking up trash two weeks before the end of their contract. They did not pick up the week before Christmas, and when I called I was told that employees would be working Christmas Eve and Day to get caught up. A week later, no one in my city has had their trash picked up, and no trucks have been seen around. Amwaste needs to be shut down for abandoning their contract, and for being an all around dishonest and unreliable company.Initial Complaint

I initiated an account with AMWASTE for trash pickup at our new home in ******** County, **. In order to establish service, I had to pay the quarterly amount of $78.00 up front, which I did via credit card on 11/28/2022. At that time, the customer service rep told me our trash pickup would begin on 12/6 and that a can would be provided. As of today, 12/13 our trash has yet to be picked up. I have notified Amwaste on both occassions via telephone. The issue has not been rectified yet. Today I was told I needed to call back tomorrow to actually report the trash not being picked up today.Additionally I have sent emails to the customer service contact address on 12/8, 12/9 and again today with no response.I now see the poor rating that these folks have. I don't believe we have another choice for trash service in our area.Business Response
