2/4/25 Sales person came up to my door today (after standing outside the screen door while I was on a work call and listening to the call) stating he was servicing my neighbors house as well as others in surrounding area. Also note that we have a no solicitation sign on our door. Did not see a company vehicle nor have I ever seen a EcoShield vehicle servicing the neighborhood. Young man was talking real charmingly with compliments. Would not listen to me stating I was not interested, which was said more than once. Kept trying to give me a deal by lowering price and adding more treatments in. Then wanted all my personal information which I refused to give and tried to get into my backyard to look around. This was in *****, **. I did give my first name and he obviously has our address. Sure hoping I do not get charged for a service I did not agree to.Ecoshield Pest Solutions

Salesman came into my house, I was uncomfortable-told him I wasnt going to sign anything. Months later, bills started coming. Called and said I never signed up for service3 months of bills piled up ($600), they sent me to collections (!!!)I asked to see any contract I supposedly signed knowing I kicked guy out of my house. Time and time again after signing a one page 24 month agreement there were nothing but issues. I had people come and walk around my house and say they performed a service multiple times without doing anything. Luckily I have cameras. After complaining they came for free to make sure they did it right. Now 24 months has been over and they continued charging me. I got no warning that my contract was over and I called customer service and the lady literally gaslighted me in the beginning telling me I signed a contract that stated they would continue charging. After proving I did not sign anything that said such thing, she then changed her tune to I should know how long 24 months is. How was I supposed to know what exact month this was over when I was told that my contract ends after 24 months. She continued to tell me what I should have done and that I shouldve called. I called only two services after the contract ended because I realized it was too long that this had been going on. Again, no warning and no communication that my contract was over and they would continue to come once its done. No one disclosed this and Im angry that I paid an extra $400 outside of my contract limitations. This is a scam and I regret even signing with them. Make sure you cancel your contracts because these people dont know how to honor one. Whats the point of signing a 24 month contract if you will continue to charge once its done. She blamed me for 40 minutes and did nothing to resolve the issue. Ive never been so disappointed and furious with a company that seemed decent in the beginning. Thank you for your response. However, I must express my continued frustration and disappointment with how this matter has been handled. I have already reached out to your company to resolve this issue. I have been met with unhelpful responses, gaslighting, and broken promises of follow-up from supervisors who never contacted ***** reiterate:1. Contract Terms Misrepresented: My original agreement was for 24 months, and your representative confirmed via email that it would be changed to 12 months. Despite this, you continued to charge my card beyond the agreed terms. I have provided a picture of that email and am happy to forward it if need be. 2. Lack of Communication: At no point was I notified that my contract had ended or that charges would continue. I have not signed any agreement allowing ongoing charges after the contract term. 3. Denial of Written Evidence: Your team has now claimed that my contract was not changed to 12 months despite written communication confirming otherwise. Communication that I provided in this complaint. These actions are unacceptable and reflect poorly on your companys integrity. I will not be contacting you outside the BBB, as it is evident that private communication has not yielded results and lacks accountability. Resolving this matter through the BBB ensures transparency and a documented record of all *************** request remains the same: I am seeking a full refund for charges made after the agreed-upon term of my contract. I was skeptical but really some pest control on my almost an acre lot, on Maui. They were in the neighborhood and walked past my as I was returning. I called them back, to talk with them and was so glad I did. 6 months later and still going. Why? Very respectful technicians, they listen carefully to what the needs are. There green solutions,which make me feel confident that my grandchildren and pets are safe. They are not pushy, and they have plans that fit my needs and wallet.Ecoshield Pest Solutions

While their first few visits has some value, they then came out automatically for which we saw no value. As everyone has pointed out they make it difficult to cancel; it has taken me over an hour on the phone on hold to cancel. (During which I visited every review site and gave me 1-star reviews.) I'm sure there are better local solutions. For everyone I spoke to cancel the account, they appear to outsource to overseas call centers.Ecoshield Pest Solutions

EcoShield is deceptive and fraudulent. Many recent BBB complaints with same issues and they scam for your money. Please read this and avoid them.Hired to seal holes in attic and remove rats. Paid for service and boric acid insulation. 4 months later they never sealed holes, they refuse to check traps or dispose of dead rats. Their bait in traps with failing to seal entry holes attracted more rats making the problem worse. Failure to respond to rotting smell. Also, failure to follow through on spraying cycle for ants/mosquitos. Failure to respond to calls and all phone numbers go to a third party company that cant take action. They refuse to ****** then bill for future contract payments despite their failure to perform services.Ecoshield Pest Solutions

Awful, watch your credit cards if you cancel, and be prepared to pay $150.00 for canceling, they target older people promising a good service then all of a sudden I have a Mouse problem, funny I have never caught one mouse in the attic. Tech came to my house in a small compact car, used my ladder to access the attic, why am I providing the tools for a tech to do his job? If you cancel be prepared to have to argue because they want to sell you more. Again if you are an older person or live by yourself be ware of there door to door salesmen they bug you to death until you sign a contract and then you have a rodent infestation, **************** and a ScamEcoshield Pest Solutions

We've had a similar experience with Ecoshield in ********, Va. We wanted our house sprayed over the summer for ants. We were told we could cancel at any time. When the term ended and we tried to cancel, were informed our contract was for 2 year and there is a cancellation fee. I've repeatedly attempted to cancel and keep getting call backs from customer service people who put me on hold for 25 minutes and then try upsell me more stuff. These people are scam artists. I'm requesting that our state attorney general's office begin an investigation into their misleading business practices.Ecoshield Pest Solutions

Ecoshield transposed my signature onto the service agreement. The only thing I signed was a approval for a ONE TIME payment for a ONE TIME service. You can tell that the signature was copied. They also checked the boxes with my initials. I never saw any contract until 40 days later when I disputed the early penalty for cancelling. I told them I was not paying a penalty for a contract I never agreed to. I suggested they take me to court. They declined, and threatened to turn my account over to a collection agency. I told them to go ahead as I had all the proof, I needed to show I had never agreed to any service contract. Waiting for their next response. I sent all my documentation by certified mail, and they stated they had not reviewed the details of my account. If the collection agency actually takes me to court, I will insist that the Door-to-Door salesman who transposed my signature, illegally, be there to testify, under oath, that he produced a copy of a service agreement for my signature. Had a salesman come to our home and we thought we were signing up for 6 months but it turned out it was for 2 years. When I called to find out why we are receiving bills that is when we were informed of the commitment when I asked to speak to our salesman we were informed he is no longer employed and we are stuck with the two years of service or we have to pay a $300 penalty.
