Can't wait to return the ** tomorrow. We rented the ** on a Monday. It wasn't ready when we pulled up for pick up which was okay. My family and I went to get something to eat. Then when we get back the employee didn't give my husband any information about the **. In the bathroom where the toilet sits was broken so we had to use 2 of our own personal towels to keep the water from going everywhere. The panel in the bedroom was broken. The air conditioner hadn't had the filters cleaned so it ended up freezing up on ** and we had to defrost it and clean the filters on day one of having the camper. The fridge smelt absolutely horrible. For the amount of money we spent renting the camper you would expect it to be in better condition than what we got. Definitely won't be using this place again nor recommending this place to anyone!!Cruise America Inc

False Advertising ** st They have ads on ********** for a used 2019 30-foot ** for $39,350.00 that do not exist. Saw the ad on Saturday called Monday and know would call me back. Called Tuesday and got someone on the phone and they informed me that the ** for that price was from several months back and $in fact had only 2018 models till next week, /And the lowest price for that model was well above ******, Then today Wednesday they are advertising it again. With a new ad posted Wednesday. Called **************** left message and no response.Cruise America Inc

Hello *******, We apologize for the confusion; we offer a promotion called "Fly and Drive" where the customer can fly to whatever state the unit is located, we will refund the money spent to fly and they will drive the unit back. This can sometimes mean we advertise based off what we have as a whole no matter where the location is because of this promotion making the unit available to anyone who can fly to the location. If you could please respond back to our customer relations email at ***************************** with the link you are referring to. No confusion. First is that the advertisement is on the Phoenix Craigs List not a national format. Second is that the ad states THIS RV IS LOCATED AT THE CRUISE AMERICA HQ IN ****, ******* ********************************************************************** It also needs to be noted that I left three messages about this with Cruise America two with the sales department and one with the corporate office and have not had a call back from anyone. By repeatedly calling the sales department and findally getting a person. They informed me that the ad I saw was an ad from several weeks back. However the same ad was reposted a few days later. So, you are indeed posting ads for **** that are false and in addition you continue to renew those ads. I cannot email you since the address is blocked out. If you are sincere in not having false advertisements for the **** location do a search for Thor on Craigs List Pheonix recrational vehicles for sale by dealer there are many and how many are false is unknown. Do not rent if you want to enjoy your vacation or trip. Just to change tires which all 6 need to be replaced you will wait for at least 4 hours just to maybe get an approval. I don't know cause I'm currently dealing with this **** show. The rv rattles insanely and being able to talk to any of your passengers is fruitless. This is a joke of a companyCruise America Inc

Hello ****, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, I am terribly sorry to hear that you have encountered some inconveniences while out on rent. Thank you for calling our 24/7 travelers assistance hotline, unfortunately while a customer makes us aware of an issue while out on the road our travelers assistance department does have to contend with the time of day, availability, and if the unit is under a **** warranty (which is where the approval comes in). Once a customer makes us aware of the issues, we will work diligently to find a service, or troubleshoot while also trying to minimize the downtime spent. We completely understand getting unit serviced while out on rent isn't ideal. As I'm reading this review it sounds as though you are still on rent, please let your return location know of the downtime you experienced.Review fromKevin S

Just like others, we are being held hostage on the side of the road. About 8 hours into our trip the check engine light started flashing. Pulled off to a rest area and called their travels assistance number. That was at 5 pm on day one of vacation. The assistance told us that since we are in a safe location, no tow or help available till the next morning. The next morning we called at 8 because the CO detector was going off. They stated this was being handled by a supervisor, Cerelia, they were getting us an exchange vehicle and towing to us. They would call us back.They never called back so we called them again. This time they told us they have an exchange vehicle 2 hours away, and looking for a tow truck to bring it out. Again told us they would call us back. 2 hours later we called back because we did not hear from them. This time we told them we want to discuss options. That resulted in 30+ minutes of hold to get the same supervisor, *******, who had the nerve to tell me this was the first she talk to me. My only option was to wait 8 hours for a replacement from 8 hours away. She also blamed the customer and said if we dont get off the phone it will take long because she has to book the tow. I dont understand why she did not just book the tow since it is my only option. The whole experience has been a nightmare. I was never called back by them, was held hostage, and am still being charged full price even though their very poor condition RV has ruined our vacation.The RV has an obvious CO leak, has a leak in the sink pipe, and a transmission issue. They also want us to change RVs in a rest area on the side of the road at 8:00 at night, unacceptable but all we can do. So sad that they treat customers this was. They advertise make memories, did not realize it was bad memories we are making.Cruise America Inc

This is the worst ever travel I ever had. My family and I were traveling to ******* and rent a RV from cruise America. First stop to fill up the water tank we realized that the water is coming out in the storage compartment and Al our belongings got wet. After calling the company(call center) a lady called me to say that they have no dispatch to fix the *** NO SHOWER, NO WATER FOR BATHROOM AND NO WATER TO WASH DISHES. Called again and the same answer no response from the company. We are stuck in Georgia with a huge RV with no amenities. Windshield wipers are not working and cleaning properly. Very bad experience our vacation is ruined. DO NOT RENT FROM CRUISE AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!Cruise America Inc

Can you leave zero stars or negative 5 !?? DO NOT RENT FROM THIS SITE!! Our kids and grandkids rented from this company. They NEVER got to their destination. A much needed vacation, that never happened. Aside from the thousands of dollars lost, they were stranded for 5 days due to a broken down RV. When a replacement finally arrived, all of their other reservations were expired. Their entire vacation was ruined. Absolutely the worst ever! And the company does not care! If you read other reviews and their responses, its ALL the same. Their vehicles are not maintained. Check engine light comes on after **** hours driving.....long enough for you to get far enough away, then they have your money and leave you stranded. If this happens to you, contact your credit card company immediately and have them handle it for you. This company needs to be put out of business!!!!Cruise America Inc

They are currently holding my client hostage in her ** because she signed a contract that she is responsible for the *** It broke down on Saturday with her kids and dogs. She cannot leave until one that works arrives, keeping her hostage with no way home and cannot leave the ** out of fear it wont be there when she gets back.Cruise America Inc

Good morning ****,I apologize for the experience you are having; I can completely understand being on your vacation this is unfortunate. I did look into your review and found that on Saturday 3/25/2023 we had an exchange and tow service set up for you, but unfortunately it would take a couple of hours due to the location you were in. We can completely empathize with the feeling of wanting to get back to whats important but because your location has changed since that Saturday, we are now finding it difficult to locate a tow 150 miles away from the location we had originally planned on towing to. We do have an exchange available now, but because the vehicle is not your average size this tends to take additional time finding a tow equipped with the proper set up to complete the task and is willing to drive such a distance. We did provide additional options to try and have you back on the road in a timelier manner, such as offering you money for a car rental if you couldnt wait. However, you explained to our travelers assistance that you would be staying with unit. When a customer makes us aware of an issue while on rent, our goal is to minimize our customers downtime. We are 100% aware that its not what you expected, and we want to be as swift as possible to remedy the issues. Any notion of profit in this situation is out the window. Regardless of the outcome, whether it be towing a vehicle, or providing any other means of transportation, any profit to be made from this rental is gone, we continue to try and get you back on the road because it is the right thing to do, and we strongly believe that. Despite our desire to promptly assist, we also have to contend with availability of the fleet, service, time of day, day of the week etc. We apologize wholeheartedly about the circumstance, and we are working towards a solution and look forward to a positive resolution.Kindest regards,Cruise AmericaReview fromLaurie H

If there was a way to give 0 stars, this company would get it. Rented an RV for a month, was given an RV that had clearly not been serviced prior to ** departing. There were so many issues that 4 days of our vacation were spent at service centers. The 24 hour hotline is a joke. We are still on our trip and will be cutting it short because of all the issues. How could the BBB possibly give this company an A+ rating. Based on the reviews it is clear they are scam artists.Cruise America Inc

rented a ** to attend our daughters wedding in *****************, **********. On 11/11/22 ****** Cruise America location successfully ruined our entire planned trip, participation & experience for the wedding. *********** Rentals ******************************************************. We noted a very large crack across the ******************* windshield top to bottom of the glass, contacted 2 officers LA ************* & the internet, about the law of driving with a cracked windshield, it is ILLEGAL to drive with an cracked windshield. ************ traffic laws prohibit driving with a cracked windshield. State law does not permit drivers to operate a vehicle when their vision is impaired. ******************* does not permit you to drive a vehicle if drivers vision is impaired. Cracked front or back windshield can get you a citation regardless of crack size or position. *********** Vehicle Code (VC) Section *****: Defective Windshields and Rear WindowsHaving been presented with the legality of NOT being permitted to drive the ** at all, the men offered us other **s, all of which the refrigerators were not working. There was not one ** available that was in complete working rental condition. This was particularly frustrating in that we reserved and paid for an ** that meets legal safety standards and is proven as road worthy. It is the responsibility of Cruise America to rent road legal vehicles, yet, this location clearly does not adhere to this legal or ethical standard of practice. In fact, managements blatant disregard for customer safety was fundamentally apparent in their interactions with other customers at the location during our visit. Rather than attempt to rectify our situation on site, the situation of only having unsafe and non-working **s available. They continued to be rude, aggressive, belligerent, & unprofessional. once again due to Cruise America and the ****** locations lack of competence. we trusted Cruise America and the contract we agreed on.Cruise America Inc

If I could give no star I would. They rented me a camper with a broken plumbing fixture and it leaked water everywhere and we were unable to use plumbing for entire trip. They never found a solution or any where to service. They failed to provide the service we payed for due to there own negligence (supposed to be a 100 point inspection) and they have avoided us now that rental is returned. They ruined our family trip and I dont recommend anyone rent an evening from them!Cruise America Inc
