We rented an RV and were instructed to drive through the tolls and cruise America would bill us for the cost. Instead we received at least SIX violations in the mail from different states! On top of that they won't take our calls and are basically blowing us off. We were told take it up with the toll company! These are not bills from the toll company these are VIOLATIONS.. moving violations.I'm going to file a civil lawsuit against this company and they will pay for the tolls, the violations and the time we have to take off from work to deal with this they are committing FRAUD...this is unacceptable.Cruise America Inc

We got scammed! Rented an Rv for a family road trip from ****** to Pal Springs. We were e given a filthy (and I mean disgusting hadnt been thoroughly cleaned EVER) broken, barely functioning **. In hindsite we shouldnt have driven it off the lot- but we had no other options- we were thousands of miles from home and this was our planned means of getting from point A to point B. When we reached out to ask for a replacement the company suggested we take it to a garage for repairs and detailing (on our vacation time! And two weeks in a garage would not have made this ** suitable to rent out to anybody!!!!) Plus it was hours out of the way and we were in a tight time crunch. We told the company that was unacceptable and they told us that we could reach out to negotiate a refund to the customer service department. The customer service department- big surprise- DOES NOT HAVE A PHONE NUMBER!! We sent an email detailing in full all the issues with the ** and requested either a different TV that had been cleaned and was functional or a refund so that we could make other arrangements for our trip. WE NEVER HEARD BACK. Sent another email, and then another. We are home now- I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD BACK!! We feel totally scammed. Not only was this ** unsanitary and unsafe- but temperatures at night were in the teens and this **- even though we were plugged into an ** park electric hookup- would not heat without having the motor started every few hours!!!! Do not- I REPEAT- DO NOT rent an Rv from cruise America!!!!Cruise America Inc

We have had the worst experience with them. We rented for almost 2 weeks and had issue after issue. Generator wouldnt work, black line leaked the whole time and on the way black the whole black tank fell. They didnt respond to our emails (they only talk through email). This time they had already winterized it and refused to do it. We had to figure out ourselves how to do it and we will have to re-winterize ourselves. The ac is leaking water inside as well as the front window is leaking. They always want you to go out of your way to fix issues with no compensation back.Cruise America Inc

I rented an ** from Cruise America. This is what occurred on day 1:1. Microwave explodes and smoke fills the interior of the *** I was reheating a cup of coffee in a paper cup.2. The propane water heater did not start. No propane to stovetop either.3. Sewer connection hose disengages from clamp as it is poorly connected.So after contacting customer service, I was told to drive the ** 50 miles to a service center. This would take a day out of my vacation. Then after another day without hot water and cooking, they offer to bring me a new replacement **, but it never shows up and no one calls. This is unacceptable. I am demanding a full refund.Cruise America Inc

We picked up a unit on ******** **. On Saturday. Refrigerater and freezer were hot. We were told it should cool down by the time we reached our destination. (3 hours away). It didn't start cooling for almost 18 hours. We has to buy another cooler and lots of ice. The breaker for the ac tripped in 90 degrees temps. The converter panel was smoking. We only spent 1 night of a 7 night "memory" vacation with 3 of our grandchildren. We had to pay for campground site rental just for parking the unit Spent 2 nights in a hotel before we decided to just come back home.Cruise America Inc

I rented a motorhome from ****************, ** . We connected the hook *** for the water, electricity and sewage, then left to go out for dinner. We returned about 2 hours later to find our campsite and our neighbors campsite flooded. The neighbor informed us that there was a leak at the water tank fill connection and he had to turn off the water. We switched to using the water pump. A friend of ours, who owns a motorhome, dropped by and said the water pump was making an unusual noise that it should not be making. Therefore, we turned off the water pump and had no source of water. We called the Cruise America **************** number for help but their solution did not work. They found a service person in a near by city; contacted him, he came over several times to try and fixed the water pump and leaking issues but was not successful. Instead of having a wonderful time we endured an undue amount of stress and aggravation. Not only were we unable to engage in any of our planned activities, we also had to endure being without water for five days, and spent the majority of our time on the phone with Cruise America representatives, and waiting for an unreliable repairman to show up. Cruise America is responsible for ensuring that their vehicles are fully operational prior to renting them out. Obviously this was not done and this demonstrates clear neglect on your companys part. When we asked ****** the manager at Cruise America ****************, ** location for a full refund, he told me he could only give me 3 days rental worth of reimbursement.This is unacceptable. The RVs are old and not maintained and we highly recommend to not used this company.Cruise America Inc

We contacted customer service half a dozen times during our trip and nothing was ever fixed. The check engine light came on 200 feet from our house when we started our trip. Cruise America said they weren't sure about the light code but to drive with the check engine light on for 8 days. They would not let us exchange it for another one or fix it. The generator did not work the first half of the trip so we had to stop at gas stations to get hot water to warm our sons bottles. The *************** so hard and was so loud from an alignment issue, making the entire time the ** was moving a literally headache from the noise and vibration. The front and rear license plate did not match, one was *******, one was **********, one was valid, one was expired. A cop told us we were driving with illegal plates but only gave us a verbal warning since it was clearly a rental. The cupboards wouldn't stay closed because of the shaking so things kept falling out on our heads. The alignment shaking also caused the toilet to shake right off the base, causing the entire ** to smell like sewer an entire day until our next campground stop. Obviously we couldn't use the toilet the rest of the trip. The entire point of renting an ** was an easy way to travel with our baby with easy access to hot water and a bathroom...and we had neither. They fixed nothing every time we called or messaged. This isn't even the worst part... our sons car seat was shook so hard from the misalignment that the seat belt (provided by Cruise America) that held his car seat to the table bench seat belt latch came unlatched and my **************************** his car seat went flying across the ** while we were driving down the highway. This happened a second time when I was holding on to his seat just in case, so at that point I put him on my lap the rest of the trip since it was the safest place in that death trap. When we returned the **, we were told these things happen all the time and its no big deal.Cruise America Inc

- Bad customer service at time of pick up: Registered months ahead of time, then told they did not have the 30 foot camper requested. They had to arrange for smaller camper but it was pending approval from supervisor because the other smaller camper was technically booked. This was upsetting when you all packed ready to go and on time to pick up the rental. then told they may not have a rental for you. Person at the counter blamed cooperate because they do not know what is going on with the independent dealer rental stations. . - Camper use: Camper was very dirty and smelled. Many flies inside.Bad muffler you could not talk inside while driving. Needed hearing protection to drive the beast.Steering wheel shook and it had a bad suspension as it slammed everything in the camper when it went over bumps. Requested a new model and did not get any return phone call for help. Requested to speak to customer service for a refund on customer service. I logged in with ******************** to file a complaint:- They said they would get back to me. They never did after many attempts. They have blown my complaint off. They were advised that the camper should not be put back into service because it is not safe for travel but evidently they do not care enough about customer safety or customer concerns. Future of ************************* will go out of business. They do not manage there business or help there customers.They price paid for the hassle and terrible experience will not get attention or help by Cruise America. Cruise america made our vacation a real nightmare! Having issues with the ** from day 1 and their assistance is almost unreachable. When you do reach them they just say they can't help us! Now we are having transmission problems and a leak above the bed and we just have to wait until we hear from them!! Their service is terrible! We had to cancel our next campground with no refund. So never use cruise america! They just ruined our family vacation that we saved 2 years for. Don't trust them!Cruise America Inc
