I put in an online order for next day delivery. Initially, when I tried to pay with Apple Pay AutoZone website kept declining my payment so after the second time, I went ahead and transferred the amount to a different account not understanding why my payments were declined. When I transfer the money and payed for my online order through a separate account, everything was fine. There was no issues I received a confirmation email for next day delivery. I then received an email late that night that my order was canceled. The email stated that if I did not cancel this order to contact them, I did not cancel the order so of course I contacted them. A lady tells me that the order was canceled bc my payment didnt go through. I told her that was a lie because I can show her my bank statement that the payment did go through. She told me that even though it might show that it went through on my end, it doesnt mean that it went through on their end, I let her know that the money is no longer in my account. I let her know that AutoZone has my money its not declined. She asked me to send her a screenshot of my bank statement, which I did however she told me it was nothing she could do about it. Not only that those two declined payments from my other account showed ********************** took out the money twice. I still dont have my money back in that account. It still says processing so not only did they take the money out twice they took the money out a third time from the separate account that I paid with. I dont believe it was bc of the payment not going through. I believe they were being lazy and just didnt want to fill the order. Because there is no reason my payment should have been declined when its showing in my bank statement that the money is gone that makes no sense and I needed these things today and I dont have time to go to the store. ******** its giving fraud. I better have my money back or Im filing a fraud claim with my bank.Business Response

Purchased an alternator from Autozone store #**** for $395.89 that I took to a mechanic to install in my 2016 ******* ****** Sport on 9/19/2024. Once installed the mechanic informed me that the alternator was not charging the car battery. I reported the issue to the Autozone manager who attempted to test the alternator. He recommended I take my car to the ******* dealership for a diagnostics test to determine if there was an issue with car that caused the battery indicator light to blink continuously after the installation of the alternator. After spending $338.58 to have the alternator installed I spent $228.97 for a diagnostics test. The report I received read that the alternator installed did not provide a charge strong enough for my car battery. I forwarded the report on 9/20/2024 to the Autozone manager and was refunded $395.89 for the alternator. He also filed a claim (*****************) with receipts/report I provided to the Autozone corporate office on my behalf on this day for $567.55. This is the amount I spent to have the alternator removed and the expense for the diagnostics fee. I stopped in at the business approximately 2 weeks later to inquire about the claim and was told the manager was on vacation. My name and number were taken by another employee but I was told corporate would not speak to me directly. Today I sent an email inquiring about the claim to the district manager - his contact information is on the store window. However one month later I am being met with silence. I want to know who I can contact who will tell me about the status of the claim that was submitted on my behalf.Initial Complaint

Item has been paid for and showing ready to ship since last Tuesday 10/1/2024. I have been told its on back order now but this site states its available and if I bought today it would arrive on the 11th. That is a LIE!!! The store one *********************************************** ruined my car battery. I brought in a battery to charge on 10/2/24. I picked it up today, 10/3/24, and the battery is bulging and leaking acid. The battery was working and not bulging before I dropped it off. I jumped it the day prior to dropping it off but something came up and I couldn't run the car so I picked up charge. Now I'm out a battery. The service while picking up the battery was horrendous. The African American woman was extremely rude. She shrugged her shoulders and said "I don't know what to tell you". There was no attempt to resolve the issue. Now I'm out a battery.Initial Complaint

On 8/4/2024 I purchased an 18 dollar part from this autozone and was assured that it was the correct part, it being a switch on an ac comrpessor for a 2001 ***** blazer,,it turned out not to fit my vehicel so i tried to return the item with the receipt and the manager ************* became very rude with me and playing games saying that he would not refund my money and then saying he would an then back to he wouldnt it was very emberassing and belittling in ront of my young daughter and other customers, i told him his staff assured me the part would fit it did not so i wanted a refund, his attitude was very rude and his refusal to refund my money after his staff assured me the part was right is unacceptable,,i tried to contact the store manager for store #**** at ************ but no answer and i recieved emails from the autozone office that someone would be in touch with me but noone ever was,,im asking for a refund of my 18 dollarsBusiness Response

Contacted Autozone about a package delivered to me that was not mine. It was in my name from a state I have never traveled to. I gave Autozone all the information and I was told the fraud department would call back within 48 hours to follow up. A week later and I still have not received a call. Thank you Autozone for the great customer service and caring about your patrons. I guess you don't care about a customer not getting their package of roughly $60.Business Response

Went in to Autozone #**** on ******** store, I attempted to return the item that I purchased with my debit card. The store manager ******** A refuse to assist me with the return. He stated autozone does not have the ability to find a transaction using my card # and would buy offer me store credit as well. I'm not sure how autozone doesn't have a system that ********************************************************** transaction when a purchase is made with a debit card. ***************** was rude and unprofessional and didn't bother trying to assist me. Purchased a starter for 1993 **** F150XL, with warranty. Was given the wrong part. Returned part under warranty, was assured the replacement was the right part. The 2nd was not right, returned and obtained a 3rd part, again, being assured its the right part. After installation, began to hear racked in motor of truck. Truck froze and would not start. Took to mechanic, he said the flywheel ring clutch needed to be replaced because the bendix on the starter stayed engaged and damaged them. Once again I went to Autozone and they replaced with 4th part when it was installed heard the same noise, finally discovered Autozone provided the wrong part 4 times. Returned to the store and 2 employees said I had been given the wrong part again. The 5th time, they gave me the correct part. A a result of Autozones continued mistakes I incurred $ ******** in repair charges and parts. I sent a complaint directly to Autozone with an estimate prior to discovering the cost. They agreed to pay it $249. But when I discovered their mistakes caused the damage and reported it, they refused to cover any of the repair cost.Business Response

Autozone and your online staff are pathetic. I have proof I called on Saturday the 28th of July, 2024 to cancel this order because it was originally placed on the 23rd of July with expectations to receive the item by the 25th. I waited 5 days for it to ship with no luck. So you're going to tell me that even after 2 days of cancelling my order, you still attempt to "Look Productive" and try to keep my business and create a worthless label on July 30th to justify that Autozone is doing their job when in reality the *********** still hasn't even received it and today is the 31st. You are holding my money and this is the worst customer service and experience I've ever had. Such a disgrace, there is a reason Advance Auto Parts is the better competitor and they will take care of my future needs. I worked for Auto Zone during the pandemic (Covid 19). In the spring/summer of 2021 and all year of ********************************************************************************************** the door. ********************** made there own mask and made customers put them on if they didnt have one thereselves. The "cheap" mask was made out of a throw away shop towel with a rubberband and a couple of staples on it. I have photos of the masks they were handing out. The mask clearly says on the corp website of the manufacturer who made the throw away shop towel the following.(Not reccommended for a face covering, Do not use as a face covering, and will not work as a face covering.)Still all the warnings about the cheap shop towel not working as a face guard, Auto Zone still used these as a mask during Covid 19 I want answers and file a civil complaint against Auto Zone for using these ridiculous shop towels as a face guard to prevent transfering the covid 19.
