      I dropped my pet girl Dolce to be groomed at the PetSmart at 8380Westheimer Rd in ******* **.She was in good health and condition and nothing was physically wrong with her health wise . She had just done her annual checkup on August the 13th and passed with no issues. After picking her up and getting into the car I noticed she was panting so I thought maybe she was just thirsty but on the way home it got to be more frequent. When we reached home she went straight to her water bowl but after drinking she vomit it back up but it was also something white and sudsy and she began gasping and screeching. I rushed her to the ******************* and I was told she was in critical condition and struggling to breathe and needed to be put on oxygen. Her temperature was extremely high ***** when normal is 102 for pets. They worked on her to try and get her breathing under control but was not able to save her and she passed away. I know that without a doubt something happened at the salon that caused her death. She was in good condition when I dropped her and within a couple of hours she was dead after being groomed in the Salon. Of course they denied having anything to do with her death and when I asked them about videos or cameras I was never given the opportunity to view it. The **************** took over a week to even reach back out to me after I informed them of her death I had to keep calling and they showed no compassion and refused to reimburse the cost of the medical bill for$1,600.00 that I spent trying to save my Dolce. After doing my own research online I came across an Article that said "INVESTIGATION FIINDS 47 DOGS DIED AFTER GROOMING AT PETSMART. Dated September 26,2018 by *****************************. I was able to ****** other pet owner stories as well as lawsuit against the corporation. If only I had done my research sooner my Dolce would still be alive but I didn't think that such a thing could be possible but it has been kept quiet. Please do your research first.

      Unfortunately I had to give them one star just to be able to rate them. On April 29th me and five other veteran/service dog teams were asked to leave by the manager. Part of our dog's ******** is taking them to public places where they have to behave with distractions. You would think a dog friendly place would be friendly to service dogs. Apparently not this store, their lack of ADA ******** is rampant.After going all the way up to the district manager, and being allowed back in. Today two more veteran/******** were asked to leave.

      THEY CUT A PIECE OF MY BABY'S EAR OFF when I got my dog groomed on September 12th 2022. I was next door at Target while she was being groomed during the express appointment and I got a phone call, and I was thinking that she was ready to be picked up. The groomer asked me if I dropped her off with a ****** ear!! I was completely confused. I said absolutely not, she was not bleeding and was perfectly fine when I dropped her off, that I would be right there. (She was completely healthy when I dropped her off and she is *****). When I arrived she had a chunk of her ear gone . Apparently the groomer was not present enough to trim her ears properly and had cut off a CHUNK of the ear closest to her head!! Her left ear was covered in blood and they tried to say that I had dropped her off like that! I let the doctor next door examine her, they gave me some antibiotics and I went home completely in shock along with my baby completely traumatized and in shock. My sweet baby thought I brought her somewhere so she could get hurt! Can YOU imagine?? Your dog thinks you bring her somewhere to actually get abused and get her ear cut off and then bring her home! I mean SERIOUSLY just think about it .. The next day I called the store manager ***** to ask if he could provide me with pee pee pads, carpet cleaner, and some softer food because she's throwing up and she's pooping and peeing in my house. This is not her normal behavior but this is something from her traumatized injury. ***** told me he could not help me. I am on a fixed income and do not have the money to spend on these things and ***** said he could not help me. Here I am on friday, balling in the other room to not upset her, while my 22 year old son is holding her to give me a moment. THANKS PETSMART!! THANKS FOR LETTING ME AND MY BABY FEEL LIKE WORTHLESS. THANKS FOR NOT HONORING OUR YEAR AND A HALF CUSTOMER LOYALTY! THANKS FOR ALLOWING ME TO SPEND MY FIXED INCOME ON YOUR OVER PRICED GOODS WHEN THERE ARE OTHER CHOICES!!

      I went to the Petsmart location in *****, ******* on 9/8/2022 and I was absolutely appalled at the care the betta fish were very obviously not receiving. While I have no issues with the store itself or the employees, I really find it upsetting that the fish aren't treated well. More than half of the bettas in their tiny cups (which is less than ideal for them) were dead, dying, or diseased. Some of the fish were laying in water that was completely discolored by waste and toxins. Most all were either near the end of their lives and the ones that weren't were very distressed. This kind of care is completely unacceptable. There were no employees working the fish area while I was walking around for a good 20 minutes. That might be part of the problem, but management really needs more knowledge as to how to care for betta fish properly. I'm sure that other people who come to Petsmart wanting to purchase fish are highly disappointed when they discover that most of them are dead or sick. I really hope that the store takes this matter seriously and hires people who know how to take proper care of the fish. These are living creatures that deserve just as much attention as the furry animals do!

      I am extremely frustrated and upset that our dog could not get her nails trimmed today. She has been getting her nails done there for over three years, always on a week-end. Suddenly today, the "groomer" could not get her to sit still and refused to do her nails. They suggested I come back on a different day. They were over-booked. I have never seen so many dogs and groomers in that small space before. They suggested a private groomer or vet. This is the closest salon to our house and now we can't use it. We book appointments based on two adults working. It has never been a problem before, so why now? What's going on in that salon? Something has changed there in the past six months, and it's not our dog.

      I placed a pharmacy order with this company at the end of July. First they could not get vet approval and unilaterally cancelled the order. Then I mailed in the paper prescription. Was promised confirmation of receipt and the order would be fulfilled. A month later, **************************************** I had been told variously: 1) The medication was out of stock - not true. 2) The order was lost in their system. 3) The order was shipping that day - not true and never true. I escalated this issue to a supervisor twice, was offered a gift card the first time and reinitiated the order. Followed up twice - told again the order was shipping or that the meds were out of stock. Called again and escalated again to another supervisor. Now told that the third order was now again lost in their system and that I would need to place it again. I terminated the order. I cannot express how disappointing it is to be repeatedly lied to, no follow up, no accountability and no care for my pet whose medication was needed a month ago. Dont ever use Petsmart. They are incompetent, dishonest and negligent. Will never use again. Be warned.

      Id like to speak out about my experience as a petsmart dog groomer. This is regarding the ***** Petsmart in *****. Working here was a nightmare because of my manager. She would micromanage everyone in the grooming salon. While everyone is working our manager would come in and find any thing to be mad about. She had these bipolar moods. She doesnt care about anything but numbers. She is money hungry trying to find ways to push people to go to Academy who arent ready. Making more groomers and more people where there isnt room for. We were constantly over booked where we didnt have enough kennels for dogs coming in. How can someone who only cares about numbers with living animals be a manager. These dogs should feel at ease not be put in a carnival show. Where they are running dogs in and out like a conveyor belt. This is about the safety and mental health of these pets. And under her management it will always be that way. Because she doesnt know anything about Professional Dog Grooming. Absolutely the worse human being you would have to work under. **** is the manager. Do not bring your dogs to any petsmart. All they care about is Quantity not Quality. If you want your dog to be taken care of the right way go to a private shop.

      The beta fish at the liberty village location in ******* are severly neglected on an ongoing basis. Ive politely notified the employees that their cups need cleaning/water needs changing due to a beyond unreasonable amount of f**** and algae present. To give you a better idea, the fish were not visible through the dirty water, just little clouds of colour that were very tricky to find, even the one that was right against the plastic was difficult to see. Often the fish are floating dead, or are clearly dying. The pet store has not done anything to ensure these animals are not neglected, yet they continue to sell them (however no one buys them cause they look so sick). Its disgusting and head office needs to stop providing live animals to this location, they are abusing them. I have canceled my membership, and reported this to animal welfare. I love animals and i will not support a business that abuses animals for their profit. I have photos if needed.

      Terrible customer service skills!!!! Awful! Unprofessional! Rude. Groomer knew I was upset when they refused to cut my puppy with 1 small tangled area even when i offered to take him to my car and cut it off myself. Groomer with reddish blonde hair repeatedly smiled and sarcastically told me "Have a nice day ma'am!" Even after I said "please don't say that to me as you can see I'm upset"..SHE SAID IT AGAIN! This groomer raised her voice over talking me when I was explaining how rude she was. NEVER go here. Can't see into the grooming area like you can at Petco. Petco is grooming my puppy tomorrow. Never returning to ******* Petsmart again. I have reported her to corporate.

      False advertising of prices. Searched on line for an 18 lb bag of Castor and Pollux chicken and oatmeal dry dog food. Petsmart still has it advertised for the ********** store for $85. When you get to the store the shelf price is listed for over $92 Honest mistake I thought and brought it to PetSmart's attention by email. Well that did no good what so ever and my email response replied stating that they will only honor pricing for on line purchases. After over four decades of shopping there I refuse to ever make a purchase from them ever again and I plan to send my screen shots still showing the false advertised price and my receipt for the consumer protection agency complaint I'm about to file.
